My stay at the Courtyard in South Padre Island was overall good. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and I want to highlight the housekeeping staff and hotel personnel, who were consistently kind and professional.
Unfortunately, the main issue was noise. During both nights of my stay, I was unable to sleep properly due to excessive noise coming from the room above me and the room next door.
The hotel offered to move me to another room; however, the way the option was presented felt somewhat uncomfortable. I was told that I would be moved to a room “next to the one I had originally booked,” even though I’m not sure why I had been assigned what was described as a “better room” in the first place. Honestly, I believe I might have rested better in the room I originally paid for.
I appreciate the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff, but better noise control and a more reassuring approach when offering room changes would significantly improve the guest experience.
