Receptionist seemed she was bothered if we asked for an update on the room at 4:45! Mind you check in is at 4!!We then asked for a refund because we found TICKS not one but 4 inside our room literally crawling on the table and we were told they couldnt help us. We even offered to show them the pictures and said all they could do was move us to another room, we moved because it was already 8pm when we went back to our room but didn’t even rest do to the fact of thinking my daughter which is allergic to insects could get bitten by one! Very disappointed

The room was fine, but dirty windows. Staff never cleaned our room till the day before we came home, had to hunt them down for clean towels. Very slow elevators, pool chairs were soooo uncomfortable, very slow service at the inside bar, but food was great.

10 out of 10, DO NOT recommend at this time of year. The pictures and descriptions of this hotel lead you to believe there are activities for children, multiple heated pools, swim up bar, and two restaurants. In reality, there are no child friendly activities, there is one heated pool that is small and only 3 feet deep which is where the swim up bar should have been located. The other two pools are absolutely frigid, with the "kid dedicated" pool being about a foot low on water as well. Only one restaurant is open at a time, but there is no indication which is open without actually going there. Per the waitress, "If this one is not open, the other one is, but I'm not sure of the times." I reserved two rooms. We stayed on the pool side. Whenever I've stayed poolside, I expect noise of children playing, splashing, echoing voices. Pool side at this facility meant 60's and 70's classic rock music cranked loudly enough to hear the words starting at 7:30 AM and continued all day long. In my room, the floors were very dirty, the mirror was cracked and broken, there were not enough towels. When housekeeping "cleaned" the next day, dirty linens were left balled up on the beds. When I voiced my issues to the front desk, she responded with "I'm sorry, would you like a copy of your bill?" If I go to SPI again, I will stay at one of the smaller hotels for a fraction of this one. This place was not worth the cost. Dirty, run down, and not as advertised.

Room was “remodeled” so it had new flooring. Had to switch rooms because the first one we had, the AC looked like it was coming apart, the toilet had not been completely cleaned, and the fridge didn’t work. Next room was a little better, but the outlets in the room sparked when you plugged something in, and the microwave had the metal showing on the inside. I could go on, but I will digress. The only good thing was the view and the staff were nice.
