Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our stay. The location to the beach was the best part. Very quiet and easy to access. The house was nice as well. It’s in a very wooded area, so there were lots of leaves on the outside deck and fire pit. That’s just part of being in that area and nothing owners could control. House did smell a bit musty when we arrived, but air fresheners helped as well.

A nice place for family and friends

We chose this house for its location and size as we were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and her wish was to keep it simple with the family. Everyone loved the big screened in porch and most of the time was spent there. I can only vouch for the bed in the master bedroom but it was very comfortable. The TV room is great with a large screen TV for movie nights. The house could use a little routine maintenance and the internet router is located in a lower bedroom closet, which gives poor coverage to the entire house and the signal in the street is better than that on the porch. This sounds petty, but the cell phone signal is very low so we were dependent on Wi-Fi calling. It's something that could be easily fixed with a properly placed booster or whole house mesh. The neighborhood has a private access beach which is great. The road going down will give you a good workout coming back up but there is ample parking. For our beach days we drove a vehicle with the beach supplies. Overall the stay was great and a good time was had by all.

Great house!

Very nice house in a nice location. We enjoyed everything it offered including the fire pit, game room, and the short walk to amazing lakefront views. The steep downhill walk to the beach was also fun for our group. The owners were very responsive during our stay and we had everything we needed.

Great Stay!

The property is centrally located to many of the little towns in the area, which was great for us wanting to explore. The screened in deck was the highlight of our stay. All in all it was a comfortable stay!

Home away from home

This place was one for the books, we loved spending time here to celebrate summer. With three kids we wanted something secluded and relaxing, and this was just right. The private beach really made the trip phenomenal for us, we spent most of our days letting the kids swim there. A perfect end to summer!

Comfortable space to stay

We were a group of 6 adults and two young children. Nice set up to the house with plenty of bedroom space and bathrooms. Great outdoor spaces to enjoy. Well cared for grounds. The beach access was a little farther away than we had expected, but it was walkable or drive-able. We had a few minor issues during our stay and our contact was quick to respond with solutions.

Amazing first time in Michigan!

This was hands down the best house rental experience we've ever had. The house was perfect for us, with plenty of space, lots of STORAGE, great gathering places (even though we were just a single family) and really comfortable. The property itself is just beautiful, set in the woods, an easy walk from the lake. We loved how easy it was to get to South Haven and Saugatuk, too. We had never been to Michigan before (we live in the city of Chicago) and after staying at this property we certainly hope to return a couple of times a year!

The Best of Western Michigan Living

The home sits on a bluff with a short walk down to a private beach. Neighborhood is super scenic with large trees, quite, short walk to scenic sunset park and plenty of animal sightings. The house is super clean with great outdoor space. We grilled out in the evenings and walked down to the fire pit for s'mores and drinks at night. Spent a lot of time in the screened porch sipping coffee in the morning. Great water pressure and comforable beds are a big bonus as we have stayed at homes in Michigan that don't offer that. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back again.

Great house!

This was my first time staying in a VRBO property and I was pleasantly surprised. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to feel at home. All dishes, cooking utensils, pots & pans etc. fully stocked toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish soap, and even shampoo, conditioner, and soap in both showers! The property has plenty of space indoor & outdoor. The vegetation was a little overgrown for my liking, but I could definitely see the appeal from another perspective. I loved “Sunset Park” a few steps away. Perfect spot to watch the beautiful sunset!! The private secluded beach was amazing!! We drove to it mostly, but my teenagers walked back and forth with no issues and preferred that spot over North or South Beach. Overall great experience. Will stay here again!

Amazing retreat

Beautiful house in a fantastic neighborhood. House was well stocked with all essentials like soap, TP, paper towels and fluffy towels. We loved the secluded beach. Highly recommend this property and our stay couldn’t have been better.
