We booked 1 night here in room #1, and loved it here so much we tried to book it for a second night but it was already booked, the lady and gentleman at the front desk are amazing and got us a 2nd night booked in one of their house rentals! They are amazing people and so friendly! This is a cute little place and we will definitely stay here again the next time we come through here!
My granddaughter (age 8), daughter and I ran away for a quick weekend while the guys were on a fishing trip. We stayed in the 2 bedroom with kitchen unit. Rooms were clean and comfortable, beds and pillows very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. It was really nice to warm up our home made clam chowder and enjoy a relaxing dinner at the tabke. This is not like a motel where you run into your room and avoid eye contact. We sat out in the Adirondack chairs and visited with other guests. My granddaughter made chocolate dipped strawberries and cookies and took them around to the other outside guests to share. All were friendly and appreciative. Hosts were wonderful. We will definitely be back.
Very nice place - not a 5-star hotel but fitting of the area it is located in. Priced right and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy, laid-back atmosphere and centrally located to whatever you may want to do in the area.
Perfect location set back from the main road. You’ll still hear traffic but it’s not heavy at night. Their garden lawn area makes a great spot for watching the sunset . Or grab room 12 or 14 that face the bay and share a small deck. Rooms are small but clean and bedding and extras like tea bags and coffee in room make for a great stay. Quiet at night except for the maritime “bell” which is rather relaxing. Easy walk to small grocery with liquor and beer/wine but a better one is across the road (opposite the garden and accessible walking down slope of garden. Road is dangerous- no sidewalks. Lobby area has boiling water for tea. Good tea selection. Not a coffee drinker but it smelled like big standard stuff. Breads for making toast, fresh bagels. Not gluten free - packets of oatmeal your only option. Fresh OJ (from a box). A great find that’s attractive if a little eclectic, clean, quiet, and well priced. We’d return!
We had a very nice stay here. The inn is an older motel in town, with a convenient market nearby. We stayed in the water tower, which is a small, self-contained unit. If you have a lot of stuff, you might want a larger room, but it was fine for us. The room was clean, there was a coffee-maker and flat screen TV, and free wi-fi. The queen bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. The desk staff are extremely helpful with information about local attractions and dining. On weekends, they have pastries, coffee, and juice in the lobby. We would certainly go back.
Stayed 1 night on a short visit to Bodega Bay. It was the cheapest hotel we could find in Bodega Bay. We had room #4 which is a smallish room with a queen bed. I thought it was lovely, a bit old fashioned, clean and comfortable. The manager was very helpful. It’s motel style with parking in front of the rooms, so you could hear people leaving in the morning. It was quiet at night, though. It’s located a block or so off the main drag in a residential neighborhood. Given the price, I’m not sure if I would call it a good value, but then Bodega Bay is expensive. I’d stay there again.
We made reservations online and didn't see the place beforehand. When we pulled up to find this gem of a place. We had a two bedroom with full kitchen. The place is immaculate. Beds were comfortable. The combined kitchen living room area was adequate and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great as we are not big breakfast people. We asked for decaf coffee in our room and it was delivered in a timely manner. We were traveling with our daughter to attend a wedding and this was the perfect place for us to stay.
The Bodega Harbor Inn offers 15 rooms in motel-style. The hotel is rather out-dated but has some character for senior guests. Notwithstanding the SR-1 road at its doorstep, the hotel is quiet. Rooms are decorated and furnished in a semi-antique style. Our small room had 2 chairs & no table, a TV, an antique cupboard, a reasonable double bed and a simple private bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower cubicle. All was clean. Windows can be opened and have mosquito screen. Walls are thin and you enjoy the sounds of the neighbours. Amenities include free parking in motel style, ice-maker and free Wi-Fi Internet. The complimentary breakfast is a simple buffet offered in the cramped lobby. The breakfast is OK but be prepared for cheap ingredients like store-bought cinnamon rolls in communal package. The friendliness of the lady staff is fake. The hotel is a reasonable place for a short stay. Don’t expect great comfort. The hotel is operating as a cash cow. We recommend what all guests do, stay one night and move on.
This is a small property with less than 20 rooms. The feel was quaint and cozy, and the landscape was well-maintained. We felt very safe in the area. The check-in was quick and easy, the room was ready so they let us check-in early. Front desk was friendly to suggest places to eat. They offered continental breakfast (coffee, pastries) which we ate at their picnic table (there was not enough room in our room or lobby area anyway). It was very relaxing though a little chilly in the morning. A cat from the neighbor came to join us. One thing to note is cell phone doesn't work in this area. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. Hotel noted they have antique furnitures in the room (amour and chest in our room), they do give out the "old furniture" smells. It was somewhat bothersome. Our room was small with just enough room to move around. What could be better for our stay was if the ventilation in the bathroom works (the room became very stuffy), house keeping paid more attention to clean up spider-webs, and having a desk in the room. We can also hear our neighboring room's bathroom vent turned-on and using the shower. The room does not have very good temperature control. It has a wall heater which we did use because of the colder nights, however, throughout the stay, we had to periodically open the door, close the door to let fresh air in. (There was no screen on the window) We realize later that right next door is a grocery store. It was convenient to get snacks, beverages or a sandwich. There was a visitor's center in town, make sure to stop in to get more information about the general area.
Hi all, I stayed in Bodega Harbor Inn in Sept 2017. George and Nickey were most helpful, especially when sorting out an Amazon package delivery. Thank you both for making it work! Some extra insights to help a potential guest. The rooms do not have mini refrigerators if that matters. Nickey was kind enough to keep my groceries in the front desk reception refrigerator. The front desk does close nightly at 9pm, so be aware if you want a late-night snack, you must be planful. There is a breakfast each morning with buns and pastry. My money goes to the freshly baked cake buns. Is it true Nickey and George that they come fresh from a San Francisco bakery?
