I've lived in / near Yeovil all my life but have never been in here before! Visited on Sunday afternoon for a baby shower, the cream tea was really good! Sandwiches & cakes were exceptional & good value at £12 a head! They did a lovely gluten free option too! We were given a really good sized room for our party, staff checked on refilling water & tea / coffee. I will certainly be coming here again! Had a great time!
Stayed here for 4 nights and in general we were pleased with everything. Staff very helpful and obliging. Food of excellent quality. Room spacious. If staying here need to remember it is not in Yeovil itself so there are no places to eat locally so taking car out again would be required. Food is good, well prepared and served but a little on the expensive side. Drinks expensive! Food at dinner and breakfast is freshly cooked so at dinner you may have to wait some time to receive it so if in a rush this will not help. At breakfast this is the opposite and cooked food was served to us before we had finsihed our starters and we had to send it back twice. Also at breakfast when we asked for one of something they always brought more and hence wastage, buffet service would be better. We booked a luxury double room and were upgraded to a suite but the suites are next to the outdoor smoking area (12feet away) and so if you have door or window open for ventilation you got the noise and smoke in the room from that area. Avoid the suites. Note some rooms are in an annexe at top of car park. The hotel has free wifi but the signal was very patchy wherever you were in the hotel and in the room was often non existant. If in the area again would consider other hotels and not automatically book this one.
We stayed here for one night only. Our room was located on the ground floor of the annex. It was extremely clean, fresh, so fresh I believe the bathroom had just been redone, there was a faint smell of grout. The room overlooked an overflow car park however lovely views beyond that. The bed was ginormous and so very comfortable. There were 2 bottles of water provided in the room and your every day tea/coffee tray. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant as we were going to an event in the evening, however the breakfast was delightful. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much for them. If visiting Yeovil again, we will most definitely stay here again.
Having read the other reviews I was expecting something more than the Yeovil Court Hotel actually had to offer. Rooms, were clean, spacious and comfortable, but very ordinary and bare. The continental self serve breakfast was not an exciting or high quality choice. The breakfast staff lacked friendliness, and not organised. However, reception staff were very obliging.
Very clean hotel, in particular our room, which was very comfortable Freshley cooked breakfast. Most staff very helpful, but one word of warning, hotel is along side busy A30 so expect noise 24/7 if you sleep with window open. Would have no problem staying here again. Better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in recently.
Having had a problem finding a hotel in the right price range we were delighted to find the Yeovil Court exceeded our expectations. We had a very friendly welcome by the Receptionist and went to the room, A friendly chat with the gardener over a gin and tonic between the showers. We had a drink in the bar before dinner . The bar manager from Palermo was friendly and chatty and the dining room waitress was equally friendly and efficient. The food and wine was of excellent quality with a good choice. The breakfast was an amazing choice from a cook to order menu very tasty with excellent service from the team. The rooms - the room we had Room 25 was of good size with a king size bed. Very clean. The downside was the very small television by 2017 standards with just freeview tv. (no satelite) The bedside draw units could benefit from a coat of paint or be replaced. Overall we would stay again if in the area. Doug Skeggs 21st August 17.
Stayed just the one night whilst attending a wedding nearby. The rooms wee clean and tidy. A straightforward no fuss hotel that provided a nice overnight stay and wholesome breakfast. The breakfast choices were plentiful and the service excellent.
My elderly parents needed their old bathroom to be ripped out and converted into a wet room last week. With no downstairs toilet at home, they had to move out for 5 nights while the work was done. I choose Yeovil Court as a comfortable quality location for their stay. Use of a disabled room added to their comfort as dad requires walking sticks and is very unsteady on his feet. The food at the hotel is at a very high standard. They really enjoyed dining there. Plus a few drinks in the bar at night ! I would like to thank all staff at Yeovil Court for looking after mum and dad. Nothing was too much trouble.
My husband says that I'm a snob, but I'm not I just have standards 😂 This hotel exceeded my expectations. Every staff member that I came into contact with was lovely, the food was amazing and the room clean and comfortable. I loved the rickety old wardrobe that someone moaned about, it had character! We were in Room 29 at the back and it was very quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I think you should go on 'Four in a Bed' because you'd definitely win! 😀
I stayed here on business for one night for the Yeovil Air Show. Really friendly staff on check in, great room, very comfortable! I was told I had a tempremental shower, which in the evening worked but in the morning it didnt work. It wasnt great but I was made aware of this on check in so it was fine. They had put breakfast on early due to the airshow so this was really good, great selection of continental and cooked breakfast. Would recommend to anyone coming to Yeovil to stay at the Yeovil Court Hotel.
