The Clipper - 1747 Historic Isaac Pierce House 1st Floor

Historic Isaac Pierce House located in Somerset Historic Village District. This first floor vintage apartment features large rooms with many old historic touches still intact. Enjoy the original wood shutters and the craftsmanship as they fold into the walls. The apartment highlights the bustling clipper ship era of Captain James Madison Hood's Shipyard. Some of the fastest clipper ships in the world were built and docked here. Little pieces of that history are all around during your stay.

Opening March 24th, 2025 an MBTA station in Fall River, 12 minutes from the house with direct connection to Boston's South Station.

New for the summer of 2024 is our oversized stone patio with a covered 16' by 24' pavilion. Enjoy the covered outdoor space and the large outdoor stone fireplace. This space is shared with the second floor apartment The Crows Nest. Book both apartments and the space is exclusively yours.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Lovely historic home

This was a beautifully restored historic home. My family and I were in town for a funeral and this was the perfect place for us location wise. It was also a calm and relaxing retreat during an otherwise busy and stressful time. There was plenty of room for 3 of us and the owners have thought of everything. We did not look for a single thing at this home we couldn’t easily find. It was also extremely clean.

We stayed at both properties by this owner while our daughter is recovering from surgery in the hospital in Fall River. Both units were clean and well appointed. We would definitely recommend!

Cute house

We had a great time staying here. The house is very old so you should expect minor things that go with staying in an old house. It did not bother us, or affect our stay. It was clean and well kept. It was in a nice neighborhood. The parking is easy to use and off the road. The hosts were nice and accommodating.

This is beautiful historic home amazingly restored to it's historic roots with modern amenities. We stayed in The Clipper which felt like we were visiting the past My maiden name is Pierce and I traced my ancestors to this town and property on Ancestry.com.
