The reason we booked this hotel because recommended by Singapore office staff said just across the street is the new office. We drove from KL, Malaysia, when upon checked in the hotel and asked the staff then only shocked to found out there was no free car park and wifi for hotel guests. And the parking rate was SGD7/- per HOUR. It was too bad we alr parked the car at L5 @ hotel parking and my husband alr started his meeting and I couldn't move his car because car key with him. By the time he finished his meeting already almost 5pm, total it costed us SGD43. We do not hv enough cash inside the cash card. The hotel staff also given us wrong information said can top up cash at L5 hotel parking. Unfortunately the machine only can use Spore's ATM card or Singapore Citibank credit card to top up. With the suggestion from a Singaporean, we managed to pay cash at the exit machine. For a hotel room all in almost cost us SGD680 per nite, no breakfast, no free car parking and no wifi, we wouldn't find this is the best hotel to stay. We can find other hotel charged much cheaper with complimentary car park and wifi
We stayed here for a long weekend to attend the Grand Prix. This hotel exceeded all expectation, from the oversized rooms and bathrooms with floor to ceiling windows and thoughtful electric privacy shades to the impressive 35th floor infinity pool. The club lounge was comfortable and held a wide variety of snacks and drinks; well worth the price! The location is fantastic; in the Marina area and close to the Downtown subway station. The AC cranks (and you will need it and use it!). What really stood out was the sincerity of every employee we came into contact with. Each and every person was genuinely hospitable and went out of their way to greet us warmly. Every request was met with a gracious smile. Even more impressive was that they were sold out for the weekend with F1 fans and the hotel never felt full or overtaxed. We never waited for an elevator or in line for anything. I would highly recommend this hotel to either the business traveler or tourist and would absolutely stay here again.
Went to a corporate presentation, where a Chinese lunch was served. The facilities are commendable - sober décor, good acoustics and lightings. The food is not great, but above average for a corporate event at a 5* hotel. Service is a bit haphazard, especially since it was not a huge affair (8 tables with 60+ pax): some waiters are forgetful of requests, refilling of tea is slow. Convenient location for corporate lunches in the CBD.
This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed two nights for the grand prix. The room was a nice size and king bed very comfy. Our son slept in a roll away. The view from the room was stunning. It also was from the lobby bar on level 32. We ate both days from the Seasonal Taste restaurant also on 32. Good value for a sensational buffet. Definitely try eating here. Great views from the infinity pool and very relaxing. It deserves the 5 rating. Only downside was that I didn't receive any SPG points as I booked through Expedia. It was $200 per night cheaper than booking as a member and so I couldn't walk past it. Spent well over $2000 for two nights to not earn points isn't really fair in my opinion.
Celebrated my mother's 80th birthday here. The buffet is very good for the price. The selection was extensive enough, the staff helpful and the view superb. There's even a children's play area where the kids can eat and have fun whilst their parents relax and enjoy their meals. Loved the crayfish, crab, prawn and salmon sashimi selection. My parents preferred the cooked food like the chicken rice, roast and delicious soups. The buffet catered to the tastes of 3 generations. We were so relaxed that we did not feel the passing of the 3 hours (almost) that we spent there.
Facilities are good but wish the infinity pool is longer. Bed is super comfortable you'll struggle to get out of it. Wifi is free if you're a starwood preferred guest. But wifi for public (anywhere within the hotel) is good enough. The hotel is 3-5min walk from downtown line MRT, 5-10 min walk from Lau Pa Sat(local food haven). At the ground floor of the hotel is Daily Eats which serves sandwiches, muffins, cakes and coffee/drinks at reasonable prices. Outside is a food garden which is open during weekdays only. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Cleaning staff is respectful and efficient. Special mention to Kevin Cheong who patiently showed me 3 rooms till I found what I wanted. Note though, that rooms with King beds have better view than those with 2 dbl beds as the latter are normally placed at the other end, which is farther from the harbour. Overall, our stay was great and restful. To those who want to shop, malls are not in immediate area but just 2 or 3 MRT stations away
We stayed here for business and for leisure. The hotel is located very close to the MRT, only about 7 mins walk to the station. The hotel is relatively new and it has a great view with sea view. There is a food court in the next office building which you can have good breakfast in case your room did not come with breakfast. Room: kept in top notch condition, very clean and very tidy. spacious enough and certainly with great amenities provided. I have stayed in many 5* or even 6* hotel, in terms of price and amenities, with what I am paying, it is well worth it. Toilet: It is very clean and state of the art hardware. water pressure is good. Bed: very comfortable and not so hard. concierge: They are all very helpful and very friendly. I was having trouble with my prepaid sim card and concierge people kindly helped me to call the phone company and fixed my problem. Lobby: check in was quick and easy and very smooth. If there is anything to say bad about this hotel, it would have to be the construction site close by. Somehow, that construction site works through out the night. The sound they made with particular machine gave a beeping sound. You won't notice in the day time but being such an extremely light sleeper, I can hear the beeping sound but not to the extent that I need to complain. My better half slept with no problem at all.
The Westin Singapore is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic area. The hotel lobby is up on a high floor of a tower, with the hotel rooms on the floors above. The suite was spacious with a huge, modern bathroom with tub and shower in an open area. Note that the windows are not tinted from the outside! So people can see youin the shower or tub if your don't close the blinds! The infinity pool is stunning with a great view of the marina. An easy walk to Marina Bay Sands (maybe 15 mins). I would absolutely stay here again. The only negative was that you can easily hear under the suite doors. Not soundproof in the least!
The hotel is situated right in the center of business area. Hotel has all the necessary amenities for a leisure hotel, however it is business one. The SPA zone with magnificent views and the infinity pool gives you a touch of Asian exotic relaxation. The services provided in hotel, especially in room check in were perfect. I've been staying in hotel twice, and will be coming there more in case of a trip to Singapore.
Stayed at the Westin for a week on business recently and can't recommend highly enough. Great staff, nice pool, gym does the job, in-room dining super fast to deliver. The absolute standout, however, is the Running Concierge - a guided run twice mid-week plus an 8am Saturday. Eddie was perfect to run with, pointing out landmarks, giving tips and generally helping me run a great deal further than I would have on my own. Will definitely stay again.
