Everything has its worth which one could not expect much if pays a lower room rate, This is an average hotel which one has to lower the expectation as compared to higher room rate for better grades hotels. But the service shall be good and same regardless of hotels' grades. The check in and out was normal or below service standard in particularly concerned about the numbers of issued and returned card keys by guests. The staff looked serious and worked to rule..But credit shall be given to Ms Maria Surati, a staff in the ground floor cafe serving foods throughout the day, She's friendly, helpful and served with passion and smiles. I particularly like the supper porridge which is value for money,Gym and pool are small. Just another simple stay with no expectations
Quality Hotel is a rundown hotel in Singapore, catering to mass groups delivering poor experiences. I must say that the front office staff does a marvelous job trying to make up for other weaknesses. They are friendly, available and helpful. The room we were given was at level 12 and hence the view was good. The bed was good. The bathroom leaked all the time, the air-conditioning was at a freezing level that could not be controlled. When complained the guy who came to fix the bathroom was so rude that I nearly threw him out of the room. It was not fixed anyway. The lifts got stuck often. The breakfast was average at best. There was only melon and pineapple for fruit each day and bread was nearly stale. Tea was so poor that I has to go out to have a proper cup of tea. It caters to mass tourists from not so developed countries and everyone is caught in that setup.
we had a nice stay at quality hotel. the location is superb, and housekeeping good enough. we had Delux room on 11th floor, which although not large was spacious enough for our needs. had all basic amenities. initially maybe there was a confusion and they provided us with twin beds joined together instead of queen bed, but on bringing it to their notice our rooms were changed. the evening front desk staff was more cooperative, helpful and friendly than the ones who checked us in. the breakfast definitely left us asking. I understand if they cant have proper Indian food even when Indian guests are staying in but even other buffet items were bland. its a non smoking, non durian hotel and hygienic overall.
Worst hospitality. Very small room and bed. Behaves as if they are providing free of cost. They do not treat all guests equally. They give importance to only for guests of particular race. Not expected in tourism dependent countries like Singapore.
It was good and the location is suitable and also have very good reception. But I don't like its breakfast. The landscape in this hotel was good and you can see Singapore from top flours. This hotel is near the bus station and if you want walk to train you should walk 15 mints.
it is great to be there with the facilities and the support of the crew in the hotel. the break first and the kind attention of the hotel crew was awesome. also it is non-smoking hotel where most of people are looking for. thank you for that
restaurant staff were horrible, rude and angry.receptionists were unhelpful.the worst you can immagine.i won’t suggest any one even my enemy! don’t waist your mony.i dont know why everyone was so rude,
I think they are thinking of closing the hotel. Rooms, reception, breakfast, hospitality etc on all fronts it was disappointment. Not felt like i am in Singapore which is a tourist place. Its high time they should improve
Quality Hotel Marlow is a bit on the down-n-out side of life. The rooms a bit worn and weary. Breakfast buffet, not good. Gym is bare minimum with no air conditioner. Wifi kept cutting out. The beds and sheets were clean but matress was saggy and dipped in the middle. Only good thing was the staff were nice, especially the front desk staff. Watch out for the zoo in the morning and evening from throngs of the mainland Chinese tourists elbowing their way past me to and fro the bus to hotel. Not fun. All in all, it needs some serious work to match the name of Quality." Spend a few more dollars per night and you'll be happier you stayed at a better quality hotel than Marlow.
This hotel is noisy, worn out, and packed. I stayed 3 nights for a work meeting here. The food was distinctly average, the rooms and conference areas had worn out carpets and needed a coat of paint. The view out my window was a concrete wall about 2 metres away (see photo). I had room 1125, which backs right into the elevators, and they are noisy. I assume every room ending in 25 has the same. It’s not large and there is no place to store your suitcase. The sheets on my bed had rips and tears although the bed itself and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom needed caulking. For my reservation, breakfast was included. Breakfast opens at 7 and as a mad crush of tourists crowd around the buffet for an unimaginative mix of European and Asian food. The coffee would serve well as industrial solvent though it has a mildly fortifying effect if consumed. There are exactly two cereal choices: stale corn flakes and what I really hope were cocoa puffs. Fruit was bland melon and for the lucky occasionally some pineapple. Pastries had the consistency of damp cardboard and a similar taste. The sole bread option is very square and white. The Asian options were little better, and both chopsticks and cutlery appear to be in short supply. The cool drink options include icey water and icey orange-flavoured water. The “fitness centre” is a small non-air-conditioned room with one treadmill and one weight bench. Once you start working out it becomes a sauna. But in case it’s not hot enough there are also two small sauna rooms for men or women. The pool was used by pigeons but no people were observed using it. The pool seems like it might fit 6 or 8 people uncomfortably. There is not much nearby in terms of shops. The restaurants nearby are mostly plastic chair type places. Novena Mall is a steamy 15 minute walk away. If it is raining you will get soaked although the Hotel does offer large umbrellas if you put down a deposit of SGD$20. The staff were friendly although a bit harried. I am grateful that durian is not allowed on the premises. I don’t know if better value can be found in Singapore because all hotels here are very expensive, but I would be willing to try many other places to find out.
