Rooms were cleaned but not till very late early evening. Room was not well equiped for boiling kettle. Only power was on the floor in an inconvenient spot. Luggage rack was broken. Telephone didn’t work. Hot water not always available at night for showers. Internet intermittent and not available at all New Year’s Eve. No info in the room with regard the hotel or surroundings. I’ve stayed here many times previously and disappointed this time.

Front desk receptionist Rose was very accommodating including the other staff at the lobby. Assistant restaurant manager Tina Soh gave us a 4 star service including the rest of her crew. My family enjoyed our vacation stay in Orchard Hotel.

- I felt taken back when I was warned that driving licence will be accepted as a one-time and next time only IC will be accepted. I had always used my licence at Orchard hotel as my ID and a policy change could be told nicely and not a warning. The couple next to be who was checking also went thru an ordeal and it was very irritating to hear counter staff nagging about ID matter. - The shower mixer made very loud horning noises. It was deafening. - Breakfast was overcrowded and with long queue. Some families had to be moved to another location where they had to walk a distance to collect food across the hotel lobby. Simply disappointing to see this from Orchard Hotel. - Due to waiting time at breakfast, we did not get much time to pack. We requested a one hour later check-out over the phone to 12pm but was promptly rejected. I was boiling and to go down directly to the reception to request and was given the late checkout without any question asked. Overall, this was a worst stay ever at orchard hotel. I always insisted on staying and always recommend my overseas customer to use this hotel. After this experience I am never going to use Orchard hotel again. I would recommend rendezvous hotel opposite.

The room was clean and cold enough. The breakfast, I find it annoying that the hotel do not provide Pork Bacon for breakfast, Turkey bacon is not a good substitute as it has nothing to do with bacon, if it is done in respect for the Muslims then where is the respect for guests from the western world ?

Staff was very polite, helpful and professional. Loved the beautiful Christmas decorations. The lighting in the room is very dim, except for the bathroom. Overall, I enjoyed my return stay at the Orchard. It was 9 years since I last stayed there, but I look forward to my next stay. Please provide more lighting.

At arrival there was a grumpy non engaging staff member and I didnt fell valued as guest. The room was ok but TV cut out frequently with extended pauses likely bad internet connection. Overall I would have been satisfied if your staff member at checkin would have made an effort.

A superbly located and presented Singapore Hotel --- our room was spotless -- the hotel foyer was not only spotless, it was sparkling and super clean. Hotel staff were attentive and effective. Th breakfast buffet was excellent. Check in and out was quick and easy, lifts were close to the lobby and the lift wait times were minimal.

Very strange Checking in. I had early checkin hotel approval (from 8am) prior to my arrival, however no room was available. A good news that receptionist provided an upgraded room. I also asked receptionist to assist me with dental appointment as I experienced some problem with my tooth during my flight to Singapore, she advised that she will come back to me, however she never did. I asked other person who managed my suitcase and I received a great service- thank you to him. Otherwise I I had a great time
