Vary tastefully appointed and immaculately clean. The 9pm quiet time seemed to be observed, allowing us to sleep well. However, I was unprepared to carry 83 pounds of luggage up 26 steps to my room. All rooms are on the top floor, so there's no way around this. Also, as a business traveler, I missed having a desk or table on which to place my laptop and get some work done. This is a very charming property that caters best to vacationing folks who don't mind climbing stairs and don't need a desk/table for work time.
Loved the place.
Most of the pictures don't show the new renovations. Very pretty rooms. The hotel is very nice but since it's older, I want to share a couple things. If you have one of the "shared bathroom" rooms, the bathroom is down the hall, not next to your room. Also I was streetside and it was loud. Unavoidable but just beware. The last thing is the property itself is very quiet but you can hear anytime someone opens their door. I sound picky and i'm really not. Overall, the hotel is impeccably clean and furnished.
Pros: It was a good location if you want to be in the center of town. Cons: The room had no heat. It was late September and chilly at night. We were able to get a space heater but it didn’t warm the room up well. We never saw anyone working at the front desk (day or night). Also there are steep steps inside the hotel to get to the rooms on the second floor). There is no access for the disabled.
Hotel is in a great location and in very good shape. Love the decor.
The place was great except the room we were in had no breeze and was extremely hot. Other than this it was great.

Thank you for choosing the Teller House Hotel. We appreciate your feedback and do apologize for the frustrations that you encountered during your stay. Our hotel manager also operates the restaurant on the ground floor and is reachable by phone at any time. We will work on better signage at the front desk to make this clearer in the future. Our hotel indeed has steep steps and is not handicap accessible since it was built in 1896. Just about all the hotels in Silverton struggle with this issue as they all share a similar architecture. We will try to better communicate these issues to our future guests and value your feedback. Thank you again.
