Great looking hotel at a very short distance from the temples. Pick-up is free of charge from and to the airport, rooms are perfect and staff is very friendly.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Great value for the money and very nice breakfast. Would recommend it.

This hotel was great. The staff especially was excellent. very courteous and pleasant to work with. We had no issues, the place was super clean, and a great value.

Room was a bit outdated but everything else was excellent. Staff was always very attentive and helpful. Hotel was a $2 dollar tuk yuk ride from everywhere. Terrific breakfast Buffett and amenities.

Superb staff, very accommodating. Airport pick up and drop off included. Tasteful food for all meals--buffet breakfast offers copious options. Well-designed and well-equipped room. Excellent value and would stay again without a doubt. Very close to temples, slightly outside the city center, but tuk tuk ride is short and cheap. Only complaint--rooster in the morning, but that's not hotel's fault.

We spent about two weeks at the Tara Angkor and had a very pleasant and relaxing vacation. Since we remained in Siem Reap the entire two weeks, we eventually started to get bored. However, I highly recommend that travelers spend more than the typical 2-3 nights in Siem Reap. It was great to have plenty of time to shop in the markets, eat great (and inexpensive) meals, and people watch. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, warm and friendly. At the price we got, the Tara Angkor was a GREAT bargain and included a wonderful breakfast each day. The only possible drawback was the fact that we had to take a tuktuk to reach the markets and the restaurants in the market area. However, at $2 per tuktuk ride for two people, I can't really complain much about that; besides, we really enjoyed riding the tuktuks. I highly recommend staying at the Tara Angkor and, by all means, stay a couple of extra days just to shop, eat, and have fun!

All staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They easily accessed reasonable reliable ground transportation. Meals, especially the included breakfast buffet, were visitor oriented The pool was especially relaxing after a day out and about. The package deal we were provided with was well priced. Bottled water reasonably priced had to be purchased at a convenience store next door. This was both good and bad

We were in Siem Reap for the Angkor Wat Half Marathon, and found the location convenient both to the temples and livelier parts of town. As to the physical product, the hotel facade, courtyard & pool area are attractive, but the interiors felt a bit dated. Staff are abundant and helpful, yet a bit reserved and timid. Pricing seemed fair, though admittedly I don't know the market well. I am confident in recommending Tara Angkor Hotel to others. Enjoy!

From the moment we walked through the hotel's door we found ourselves sorounded by helpfull and friendly personnel. The room was of a good size and had everything ne might need. Breaksfast was incredibly varied and generous, with lots of fresh fruits and even a vegetarian corner. Hotel offers complimentary bicycle service, wich turned out to be a great way to visit the Angkor temples. There's also a nice little pool and fitness center that can be a little too small for the nearly 250 rooms of the hotel, and can get crowed at peak hours...

Given the rapid pace of development in Siem Reap, the Tara is already feeling a bit dated. We booked the room online at the last minute for about $80, and at that price its worth it. The location is roughly 2 miles from the center of town, but a tuk-tuk will take you to town for $2 and they're plentiful. The hotel charges $12 for a shared van to the airport, which isn't much of a deal when you can call a taxi and they'll take you for $7. These nits aside, if you don't need to stay in walking distance of Pub Street then the Tara is OK.

The hotel was great. It is not downtown but rather on the way to Ankor Wat. Which is nice because it is an easy trip to get to the ruins as well as downtown. The staff was great and the room was everything we hoped for. We found this hotel to be the best value of our two and half week trip around Southeast Asia. The breakfast had very good selection and was tasty. We ended up setting up a car with the hotel to see the ruins (because we were time crunched we went with a car rather than other ways of seeing the ruins). Even though the price was a little more than the going rate the drive was great and very helpful. He even opened the door for me every time we arrived somewhere so in the end it was worth the extra couple of dollars. ***note the nickname is from a pervious experience

The hotel is new, clean and has a good service. It provides tute and taxi reservation services too. Staffs are helpful.

MINIMALISTIC APPEARANCE, HOWEVER VERY CLEAN AND ELEGANT.STAFF WERE BEYOND COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL.BUFFET BREAKFAST SHOULD BE A CLEAR CHOICE WHILE SELECTING ROOM. STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ARRANGING TOURS,VERY ENGAGING WITHOUT BEING "PUSHY".WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO FELLOW TRAVELLERS.

Overall a great experience.

It is a nice hotel in a good location. It's a great value for the price.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The room overall was very comfortable. It was a short tuk-tuk ride into Siem Reap town center for restaurants and shopping. It was also very close to the Angkor Wat Temple. [...] I would stay there again, without question.

The hotel was very good, the food was excellent as was the spa.

Great hotel. Nice architecture, everything is decorated in white and black colours. Very clean and quiet. Staff super friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very nice and clean, but a bit small. No iron and ironing borad, though, which is a 'must' these days! Beautiful garden setting for a short stroll, or for having a drink. Highly recommended.

An unbeatable value for the price. The only negative I can recall was a sometime lack of sufficient hot water for showering, but a readjustment of time schedule solved the problem. I will be recommending the Tara to my friends.

Nice Room, very polite and helpful staff. woodwork bled onto linens, staff replaced linens no problems breakfast is great, other meals are way over priced local market co located with souviener shop next door has drinks and snacks for a good price
