We had a fantastic time at Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh, 5 star place, beauty, comfort, service and everything about this place is magic, can not wait to go back next year. We are from Canada, long trip to Sharm El Sheikh but it is worth the trip, we loved it so much.
Hyatt regency is amazing. Breakfast and lunch are very tasty and delicious . Staff are very respectful. The beach is nice for snorkeling and diving. The only thing that was not very satisfying is shisha.
The hotel is beautiful, perfect for families with children. We stayed there for 6 nights, the kids loved every moment of it, with the beautiful beach and pool to the kids club. The staff is wonderful and very friendly with excellent service, when the Executive Chef is making you pan cakes, you know you are at the right place!! Definitely would recommend the Hyatt Regency.
The service in this hotel is the worst experience that i ever had ! No room service if you dont call and get angry on them! Don’t try to call and ask for something to you room ! It will never come unless you call several times and end with sreaming on them ! In general the hotel has a good location but a very very very bad customer server Don’t recommend it for anyone ! I will never do it again !
My check in was suppose to be at 2 , because my room is being cleaned as other guests left late , which is not my problem , I waited one and a half hour in the lobby , after a big hustle with the receptionist I went to my room to find out thats its one of the dirtiest dustiest hotel room I have ever been to , and they haven't started cleaning it yet and no guest were before me so clearly the receptionist lied. Not recommended, much better places can be found at the same rate
Various reasons have kept us travelling to other places of the world, but Easter 2018 was the opportunity to revisit Hyatt Regency, Sharm el Sheik. And I just have to report that the hotel is still a wonderful place for a vacation and the club programme a gem that you shall have to search long to match for value of money and luxury experience. I knew that the Egypt tourist industry has suffered for some years and was a bit worried that the maintenance of grounds and buildings was not up to standard. I had no reason to worry. Everything was in tip top shape. Clearly the staff and a few of the offerings was downsized, but not so in any way the service, the smiles and the concern for the well being of the visiting guests. Are you looking for a quiet and truly relaxing holiday, don't hesitate to book a stay at the Regency Club and enjoy the private beach and some magnificent snorkeling. My wife and I both agreed that we had missed the place too much and made ourselves the promise to return in November - which by the way in our opinion is a wonderful month for a visit to Sharm as the sea is still nice and warm from the summer sun.
My wife and I stayed here a couple of days. It was our first visit for hayatt regency hotel and it will not be our last. we had such a lovely time! Great location, it is located between soho square & naama bay, the taxi was waiting at the reception, fantastic spa, bar with a great atmosphere and delicious buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly from the reception to the room service! the room was lovely and spotless. Also the pool was so clean the beach as well, Very Good value and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommended.
We stayed here six nights at the Regency Club portion of the resort in late March 2018. The resort appeared to be less than 30% occupied. We were able to get a ground level room with walkout onto the garden. This simplified getting around the resort because it is a large maze of roads and buildings. Getting from one’s room to the swimming pool can be tricky or take some time. The rooms are smallish, but allow placement of a second twin bed. The king bed mattress is too soft and left me with an aching back. The rooms aren’t that well insulated as we heard a person in a neighboring room snoring and the dragging of chairs across the floor in the upstairs unit. The free Internet connectivity is barely sufficient for email and appears to vary a lot depending upon usage. For an additional fee of $10 to $30 (depending upon the length of stay) you can upgrade to a better speed that is almost necessary if you plan to do any work or share photos. The download speed of the upgraded service is about 3 to 4 Mb/sec, but this goes down to about 0.5 Mb/sec to the U.S. The increased speed is better, but can also be very slow. Staff here is friendly, but English can be challenging. The breakfast included with the Regency Club level is adequate, but the breakfast in the main dining room was more expansive. Getting coffee refills at the main dining room required some perseverence. Lunch can be purchased at one of the resort restaurants. We paid about $30 for two lunches and a bottle of rose wine. Food quality was good. The main pool includes a water slide that entertains children up to their teens. When were here we pointed out that some child had a #2 accident on the stairs to the water slide. That’s when we moved to the Regency Club pool. The pool decks and sidewalks in many areas have surfaces that are slippery when wet. One must be particularly careful when walking in these areas, especially on walkway up to the water slide - walk on the cracks. The dive center is on the beach near the main pool. Rental for fins, mask and snorkel runs 175 EP per day. Dive trips are priced in Euros – and a 2 tank dive will run about 100 Euro per person. A third dive option is available for another 21 Euro. A 47 Euro shore checkout dive is required if you haven’t been diving recently. Snorkeling is possible just off the beach and is good. You can snorkel wherever you desire, even beyond the swim area boundaries. You’ll see colorful coral and a large variety of fish. Many tour operators stop here so this is a good snorkeling location. I recommend snorkeling with a tshirt to keep from getting sunburn. The Red Sea is a bit cool, snorkeling 30 minutes at a time is manageable. The Regency Club has an evening cocktail period for two hours (included) that starts at 5:30 with snacks, drinks and some alcohol options. It’s a nice arrangement and an opportunity to mingle with other guests. We took a taxi from the airport to this resort because we missed their shuttle. It’s about a 10 minute drive and cost us 150 EP. You could probably negotiate it for less. No Uber in this town at this time. The resort shuttle transported us to the airport at the end of our stay for no additional cost. The resort offers two daily shuttles into town, one at 3pm and one at 9pm. They return after 2 hours. Walking into town appears to take about 40 minutes, but we did not do that and I believe that the resort security would advise against doing so. In town there are a variety of stores and street side restaurants/bars. There’s a local beach there too where you can enjoy some water sports if you’d like. It’s expected to negotiate with most shop keepers, but there are stores where there is no negotiating; especially chain stores. During our stay room housekeeping was unpredictable and inconsistent and tipping a couple of dollars over a few days didn't help. Not all items were replaced and our room was made as late as 4:30 even though a call to housekeeping at 2:30 indicated that the room would be made “right away.” Our room initially appeared clean, but several used personal items were under the bed from a prior guest, or two, or more. I expected more at a Hyatt. We paid $195 a night for 2 adults and 1 child. This included the Regency Club option that cost an extra $50 a night for use of a separate pool, beach, beverages, and a cocktail time each evening. Ukranians and Egyptians that booked this resort did so at considerably lower prices – so it may make sense to book through a foreign agency. When choosing this resort we wanted a premium experience and expected that since the price for local resorts was about half of what we paid. While the stay was nice, I did expect more. A few of other points worth mentioning include swimming pools that require some better cleaning and maintenance. The waterline at the pools doesn’t appear to be cleaned and is in dire need of a scrubbing. While there are three showers at the Regency Club pool, only one works. Grounds maintenance staff tends to be visible, a lot. Cutting of the grass outside our room took a worker nearly two days with a lawn mower- it should have been done in a couple of hours. Garden hoses are spread along walkways during the day when this type of watering could be performed at night. Other workers lacked a rake and broom and resorted to using their hands. The hot water in the room ran brown for a while one day – I presume that this was some type of maintenance issue and the housekeeping staff instructed us to simply let the water run until it runs clear. A friend of ours reported an issue with the air conditioning in her room that was never resolved despite promises to do so. Not the expectation I had for a Hyatt. Access to the Regency Club portion of the resort cost an additional $50 USD a night. It provides access to a separate pool and beach. The separate beach is quite pretty and didn’t have many other clients. The Regency Club also includes soft drinks, water, juices at the pool. Service in the restaurants gets stretched during busy periods. Our wine that had to be brought in from another bar – apparently took over 20 minutes. A lunch dish wasn’t served as noted in the menu – they comped the item, but it typifies the service here and one cannot be on a timetable at the restaurants. The resort appears to be safe with security staff posted at the ends of the beach and entrance. Most of the clientele was Russian speaking – from the Ukraine and Russia. About 30% of the guests were English speaking – from either U.K., U.S., or Canada. In summary, this resort has western prices for not-so-western service. It’s better than local resorts, according to locals, but be prepared for some compromises.
It is my 4th visit to Hyatt Regency Sharm, I cannot imagine staying in other place while being in Sharm El Sheikh. But this time was different because it included some business affairs. I had a successful meeting with Mr. Ahmed Moheb (Director of Sales) and Mr. Adel Adas (Sales Manager - Events) in order to discuss the possibility to organize events & conference at the Hotel. We had a fantastic detailed hotel inspection by Mr. Adel and knew all the available facilities there (Meeting & Conference rooms, Catering, Communication & Media Tools…). Of course all Hyatt employees are professionals & welcoming all guests. But I would like to give a special Thanks to Eliwa; Biomy; Alaa; Sameh; Amr Hamoda; Walid & Mr. Emad at the Front Office and all the Concierge Team for Golf Car they really helped us a lot to see all hotel's areas. Also the Restaurant Team: Saleh, El-Komy, Abdelsattar, Mohamed-Waiter & Chef Eman who make best Lasagna ever, Chef Mohamed and of course my dear chef Abdel Maksoud (who make me addicted to patisseries). And will not forget Mohamed Saied from the Housekeeping who completed my stay at the hotel. Thank you Hyatt Regency for making every holiday the best one ever. Best food ever. The breakfast buffet was satisfied and rich with lot of options and offering fresh juices and fruits daily. Dinner is perfect and the menu change daily. I really liked the new Barbecue Area (Chicken/Meat).
The grounds are beautiful. After climbing over dead coral you can snorkel and see many beautiful fish right at the resort. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with plenty of options. I understand the need to close the beach at 6pm; the lion fish come up really close to shore. We were hoping to spend the evening in the hot tub or pool and they close that at 6pm- I have no idea the rationale behind that. Arranged a pickup at the airport and they sent a sedan. We had 5 people and had to sit in each other’s laps. We had to pay for the pickup but got a free shuttle back to the airport. I’m not sure if there is free pickup- not well communicated. Our room was fairly well clean with a balcony but there was a framed picture in the bathroom above the tub and it had a lot of mold on the glass and was never cleaned off during our 4 day stay. Our flight didn’t leave until almost 10 pm and they refused to budge on a later checkout. We were able to store the luggage and use the facilities but who wants to swim in the sea or pool if you can’t rinse off or change anywhere? If there were places to rinse off and change we were not made aware of that. We might try another resort if we ever get a chance to go back to beautiful Sharm.
