I have stayed in this property from 08th March 2017 to 22nd March 2017. I flew to dubai in an early morning flight from Cochin so I was awake all the night and I arrived at the hotel around 8.30 am. Even though I have specifically mentioned my time of arrival, they told me to wait there till the room gets available. I told them that I have mentioned my time of arrival at the time of booking but they told me that they can't do anything (with out any emotions). Then I requested them to let me use their Wifi as my UAE no. was not working and I wished to inform my client about the happening. But then too she said "no sir, we can't. we could give you the password only at the time of check in". As I was coming from India where Reliance Jio was providing free data and also public places are having free wifi service" , I was so disappointed with the answer and her tone. it is horrible. Normally, every apartments come with a kitchen and washing machine. When I checked in, I saw no kitchen, no washing machine,a damaged and not working minibar, a microwave, which is always showing time(Sometime I got confused bcos during night also it was showing time) I think cleaning is done on every alternative days and they will never wash or clean tea cups, glasses etc. I bought a bottle of Nescafe and 1kg of sugar because they were not refilling the supplies. Also i used to purchase a 2 litre water bottle every night as there was no supply of water. Many of the times my phone was not working and when I complained, they send a technician and he made a call and said that it is all perfect. Wash room was also "pretty good". when you pull the mixer n diverter for using the shower tap, both the tap and the shower will work simultaneously. Since I am concerned about the scarcity n conservation water, I have complained about it in the reception, they send someone but of no use.It was simply wasting all water. I have booked this hotel through booking.com and there, it was mentioned that there is a pool but the pool is a baby pool. Gym was also ill equipped. They have offered a complimentary breakfast for one day. Menu was pancake, puri bhaji and Bread loafs. I have seen many Russian People staying in this apartment so I think that the property will be one of the cheapest in Dubai n Sharjah. No great Lobby only 3+2 sofas next to reception. dull interiors etc. I was describing all the negatives but let me tell you something really great. If you are a foodie, you will get everything. there is a huge variety of restaurants. Egyptian, Tamilian, Kerala, North Indian, Yemeni, Chinese, Ethiopian, Pakistani etc. MegaMall is just in front of this hotel and have many restaurants and coffee shops like starbucks, costa coffee, chili's etc. So the location is great. And there was a lady in the reception, one Ms. Anita, she is from my place and she helped me a lot in adjusting to that place. Another one was Mr. Kiran who was also in the front desk. They both were nice to me.
This is probably the dirtiest hotel I have ever been to. Do not get me wrong I have been to least advanced cities but the maintenance of this hotel is just appalling. I am posting pictures as proof of this. The room was big and spacious. It even had a kitchenette. The location is great. It is near so many places to eat and shop and is very accessible. It is also close to the Dubai-Sharjah highway. But I just couldn't wait to get out of the hotel because it was dirty. I only booked the place for a nights since I needed to go to Dubai the following day.
Booked a suite but got a dirty broken washroom. It's understaffed. Breakfast is not even two star level. Basic daily refilling had to be asked for again and again Room cleaning needed reminders daily.
I like to stay there but I have few things to say, the hot water was not hot, the safe was broke, towel not wash good. The good thing about it nice bed comfy, cold ac , quite, close to megan mall, breakfast was excellent a lot of choices
I was with my family in sharjah.got three bedrooms apartment and want to say this is really nice apartment hotel ..clean ..helpful staff ...and specially location.. because it is front of mega mall and also so many restaurant near of rhis hotel...i feel this is really good and nice hotel and i like to stay again when i will come in sharjah..this is really family hotel
At first I was happy to be there because the hotel was near mega mall and had a great view to the city. Actually, I give kudos to a couple of the guys who serviced the room once or twice a week, and to one of the ladies at reception. She was there at 7 and 8 am when I would leave for class, and to the concierge who were nice and helpful. However, there were several problems with my rented accomodation. The superior room I paid for: the kitchen and appliances were dirty - I cleaned them myself. The curtains were not properly hanging; the toilet didn't flush properly, and the toilet seat didn't stay up. Maintenance corrected the flushing issue. When they came to replace it the new one literally came off when I sat on it. Luckily, I didn't fall and hit my head... And when I called for it to be repaired 8am in the morning. No one came until after 2pm that evening. By this time, I was angry and demanded to speak with the manager. Not once did they say maam the manager will come to your room, or the manager will see you now. So I began to think that he knew what was going on and didn't care. Besides this, the washer leaked water. I was told by the visiting person, they would fix it. A week later I was still walking into a kitchen to cook and clean with slushy dirty water and with a washer that had been pulled out of its place for maintenance who never showed up. Eventually, I pushed the washer back into its spot. The fixture over the stove and the kitchen fan were taped to their structures. Who wants to look at these kind of decrepid fixtures after paying a reasonable amount of money. When these problems happened one after the other, customer service would answer the phone with the persona of: what's next and like they didn't believe me, and that is how maintenance would come to my room. When I asked to speak with the manager, customer service refused me in more ways than one. I wasn't compensated for the problems I had e.g., a free night or two, or even a discount of my entire stay. Though the scenery was great, I began to dread my option but couldn't move because I was taking a 4 week job-related crash couse. Had I took the time to pack my things, find another hotel. I would have fallen behind. It was too much to bear just thinking about it. Some of the women in customer service were bothered that I politely requested of them that I wanted no one in my room while I was gone. To continue, there was no compensation whatsoever for my troubles. A couple of days before my departure, after my 2nd extention there. One of the ladies in customer service called, in a mean manner and said I could no longer stay in that room. That I had to move because someone else reserved the room. First of all, I didn't appreciate her tone with me. But I let it go because I was in an important meeting. When I arrived back to the hotel I was ready to move to another room without correcting her attitude towards me. She said I could stay in the room. I wasn't a bit excited because I could see that she was really being inconsiderate and not very nice to me, and purposefully gave me a hard time. Perhaps because I asked for management prior. Instead of asking for management again. I let it go since I was going to leave and since they wouldn't give me his contact information no matter how many times I asked for it or insisted. Had I not been in an already difficult situation. I would have left tulip inn immediately. Had I been able to talk with The Manager, and had they truly compensated me for the hardship and discomfort. I would have never written this kind of review.
Every time i visit UAE, i stay at this place. its a nice stay and in Budget. Clean and decent friendly staff. Wifi range is less in some rooms. needs to work on same. but overall its a good place next to Mall and other amenities.
weak points : - poor equipment - old furnitures - swimming pool closed (under maintenance) strong points : - location clost to Mega Mall and other place to visit - staff member very reactive - price very interesting for Sharjah In fact , Tulip Inn Sharjah is a very affordable hotel with an old equipment but very helpful staffmembers special thanks to the housekeeper , whose name we never knew , he changed us from the 1st apartment to a second that fit us more .
Tulip Inn is located in Sharjah- approx. 25 mins. by taxi from DXB airport (approx. 85 Dirhams). No need to prebook your transfers- taxis are metered and very reasonable priced. If you choose to stay in Sharjah you should bare in mind that alcohol is not allowed here and you will not find a shishacafe etc. Thats just the rules of this emirate. Tulip inn is located next door to Mega Mall Sharjah- which will satisfy all your needs for retail theraphy, eateries and to stock your fridge from the ground level supermarket. If you dont need the world brands try to visit the 2dirham shop or the gift palace- you can do some very good deals here in textiles etc. As you are visiting a muslim country you expect the calling for prayer- unfortunately this hotel is next door to a mosque which not only call for prayer but also offer chanting and readings - and it IS VERY NOISY- you definately need earplugs. You will also need slippers as the room is quite dirty. They certainly need a good scrub. Fridge does not really keep your things cool. I had 2 glasses, 2 plates and 2 knives- not really usable if you plan to cook- and you need to wash everything first. Bathroom is also dirty. Housekeeping is so and so and you can not count on cleaning even coming back in the evening....There is coffee offered- but not refilled- toilettries are not refilled either. Not really a 4 star thing...Elevators work slow and you need to be quick as the doors slam before you are in or out. Wifi worked fine in my room and tv had a good selection of channels. If you have a room which faces the megamall you will have a view. on the sides you do not get a lot of daylight. Food served is not for the European pallet- but for at hotel catering mostly for asians, that is to be expected. I was on a halfboard plan and have no complaints at all. I had all dinners served in my room- not sure why - but it was delish. I did enjoy my stay at the Tulip In- definately not the usual standard you expect from a tulip hotel, but for the friendliness, helpfullness and willingness to serve by staff I dont think I would have a problem staying again- if the price is right and rooms clean :-)
