It was my second time staying at the Fraser Residence Shanghai and I experienced a ridiculous situation this time. Last year, I stayed in the Studio Deluxe room, and I was satisfied with the service, cleanliness, comfort, furnished kitchen and living room, and location. So, based on my positive experience last year, I reserved the 2-bedroom Executive this time. When I checked in, however, the staff said I cannot stay in the room I reserved. Instead, they gave me two separate 1-bedrooms. I noticed the family in front of me was in a similar situation. I cannot understand why the Fraser Residence took so many reservations they could not guarantee. They discounted the room rate and provided breakfast coupons, but this very disappointing experience makes me hesitant to book here again.
I travel frequently to Shanghai. I have been staying at this place for awhile now. The staff are friendly. Location is really convinent. I like everything about this place.
I always stays at Fraser. Good for the money. I also really liked the restaurant on the 6th floor.
Overall, this is a great hotel for long term stay. Good location, easy access to subway, bus and tourist attraction. Very quite, washer/dryer in the room. However, refrigerator is pretty noisy, no vent in the toilet area, no phone in the bathroom. Friendly staff.

we had a wonderful experience at fraser! great location, great staff, great room. i even had four different shipments that i had coordinated throughout my trip scheduled to deliver there and they all arrived without a hitch. this was the last city of a total 5 cities in china and the washing machine/dryer not to mention the pool & the gym couldn't have come at a better time on my trip. would stay there over and over again!
The executive studio room I had was excellent: spacious and super clean! The location of the Fraser Residence is a good starting point to explore the city on foot or with the metro. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
