Shanghai is simply amazing and the hotel will offer you the best view of Shanghai! The service, the rooms, the food... Everything is simply perfect. I recommend the corner rooms for the better view. River view is the best! And if you want to book a city tour talk with Bartin, the concierge, he was very helpful and a total sweetheart.
I have stayed at 上海金茂君悦 Shanghai Grand Hyatt for more than 10 days this year. With unbeatable premium location, excellent service, delicacies food, best view bar, Shanghai Grand Hyatt is my number one choose in Shanghai. over all, I love classic and elegant 上海金茂君悦 Will try to stay there every time I visit Shanghai. Thank you - Grand Hyatt Shanghai
First stay in a Hyatt hotel - found a reasonable room rate then decided on a short four night stay - checked in Sept 16th. Was allocated room 7910 on the 79th floor - it has spectacular views - both day and night - towards the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Huangpu River. The room was perfect - exceptionally clean - well appointed - perfect shower - amenities pack had everything you could want. Slept really well - the room was quite without any noise from other guests passing by. Organised laundry during my stay - found the cost surprisingly high however the service and presentation upon return was top notch. Staff throughout the hotel were warm and welcoming - always ready to assist with the simplest of requests. Like an earlier reviewer I found the check in process very slow late afternoon on the 16th. Had to queue for nearly 25 minutes - there appeared to be only two and sometimes three staff checking in. The staff member organising the queue was polite and apologetic for the delays. There should be signs where the queue begins - many who came after came directly to the counter - then were pointed to the end of the queue - you could see disappointment in their faces. Especially those who had long flights to arrive here. Conversely checkout Wednesday (20th) was quick and efficient - no queues although I had seen that over previous days. Would I stay here again - yes, however I would choose a package with breakfast - the daily cost of 260RMB plus is a bit out of my price range - I chose to dine outside for all meals as there are other options within 300 metres. If you want something different in Shanghai - this is a nice hotel.
Grand Hyatt shanghai is an amazing hotel, fantastic location, large room and awesome city view. This hotel is right in the heart of shanghai, 5mins walk to lujiajui metro station is very convenience. The staff were polite and Friendly, special thanks to staff from Housekeeping!
Great location in the middle of financial and shopping district, with great views from most rooms. Very nice and classy rooms, complimentary fitness center and pool. Very small reception area for such a large hotel, and crowds at all times at the front desk. Dont bother trying to get any info over the phone, most of the time nobody picks it up. Hotel feels understaffed or undermanaged. I had much better experience at another Hyatt location in Shanghai, Hyatt at the Bund.
This place has gone downhill. It is very dated, nobody speaks English and we wont be back. After booking a month ago and I being a Hyatt Platinum member we treated poorly on arrival. There was no concierge the girl at reception was rude and check in was extremely slow. The rooms are very dated. The Grand Cafe the food is basic IED if you want a burger with the lot they do not know what that is,they do not speak English and if they do its very poor. They have one type of cheap Gin and don't even know how to make a Gin and Tonic. The place is a JOKE. After 10 or more state we wont be back
Canton restaurant on 55th floor, you can find delicious food with very nice view of peal tower. The resturant is well known for Cantonese food. Steam fish with soy sauce was nice. Abalone with thick red sauce was very delicious. The services is also an Excellent service. We enjoy a wonderful night in Shanghai.
Excellent hotel, clean, large and modern The hotel begins in the 54th floor in a modern commercial building The view is special and very well located Very good breakfast, with many oriental and occidental options!
The reception was very friendly towards us (and previous issue). We have been upgraded to room in an higher level. Amazing view and very close to the "river" to observe the Oriental Pearl Tower. We would come back to this hotel. AMAZING
Superb hotel is all respects. Across the river from the Bund, but with excellent views across to the old town. Multiple restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk, plus upscale shopping. Large well equipped rooms, very nice swimming pool and gym (on the 57th floor!) and range of restaurants inside the hotel. Subway station was only 5 minutes undercover walk.
