great getaway

It was nice to get away to a quiet place. It was all great except for not having a bedroom on the main floor. My 84 year old mother-in-law had a little trouble going up amd down the stairs other than that it was a great place

Family trip

We wanted to take a trip together as a family. We just lost our father on January 18th. We wanted to get away from everything and reconnect after a difficult time. We loved the place and the area. We played alot of putt putt golf, go-carts, and the Goat coaster. This was my son and I second trip this year. We CANT get enough of the mountains. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin.

Mom’s birthday

My brothers, myself and our spouses bring our mom to the mountains for her birthday. We started this a few years ago. This has been the best place we have stayed! The accommodations were exactly what we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room furniture was so comfortable and a great place for us to sit and visit and catch up with each other. We enjoyed the porch too. Would definitely want to stay here again!

Nice family retreat

We enjoyed our stay! Home was cozy and in a nice area. A few upgrades would put it over the top. Main floor bathtub wasn’t draining well, so while showering, we were standing in water. New light switches highly recommended! Other than a few minor issues, we had a great time at this house!

Home is under rehab and not complete

The first floor bathroom floor had no flooring, just concrete and old linoleum glue and was soaking wet the whole time, dishwasher did not work and leaked all over the floor, exposed wiring, dirty stairs, wet towels when we arrived, broken cabinet doors, cabinet doors missing, only one set of tv remotes for 3 TV, 2 fireplaces and neither of them worked, code to get it did not work when we arrived, stuck outside for nearly an hour getting that resolved,- asked for partial refund and have not heard back- was guaranteed a return call and nothing yet

Pigeon Forge August 2022

Nice cabin. 30 min from Pigeon Forge. We are used to an information notebook that gives instructions on the TV, internet, where to put trash when it needs to go out, etc and this property has nothing like that. The beds are very comfortable.

Affordable compared to similar places

Loved the area and space of the cabin. Major downside is location of bedrooms. Have to go to basement or loft for bedrooms. Basement was absolutely freezing the 2nd week of March. Hand soap provided in bathrooms was extremely watered down. No kitchen grocery items provided such as salt/pepper, sugar, coffee, coffee filters, etc. so make sure to bring your own.

Mountain Views

The property was very nice but a little farther from Pigeon Forge than we had realized. The road the property was on was narrow and if you met another car coming from the opposite direction it was a little scary, but this only happened twice during our 7 night stay. There was a steep hill before the entrance to the driveway and you couldn't see if anything was coming from the other direction which was awkward. Other than that we had a nice stay. The cabin was nicely furnished, the beds were extremely comfortable. We were two couples traveling together and one couple had the lower floor and the other had the loft. The middle floor was the living area and the kitchen. Each floor had a full bathroom which was very nice. We all really loved the cabin and the views. The cabin was clean but the rug in the living area could use a good cleaning, it had a lot of stains.

The stay at Hillcrest lodge

The cabin was clean that was a plus but the water stunk the sewer stunk when you went out on deck.and everywhere you looked you had a camera looking at you I counted 7 cameras and we did not like that and it needed mowed around the cabin weeds was about waist high.for the money we had to pay 864 dollars for two nights I definitely expected alot bette.and the cabin had a smell to it to .

Great Mountain Getaway!

We've stayed in Wears Valley many times, and we can confidently say this is a great cabin. My girls liked having downstairs to themselves, while we enjoyed the master suite upstairs. No problems with water pressure or hot water (saw that in an earlier review - not a problem for us!). We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice fire pit out back with benches and a LOT of firewood. Enjoyed several evening fires (but be aware at dusk - had a nice sized bear wander by just 10-15 yards from us while getting a fire started). I was really looking for a nice mountain getaway, and this fit the bill.
