Beautiful Spot with one warning
The house and view are gorgeous. Our only warning is that we were often without cell service (which is not the property owners fault) and had to turn off international roaming to avoid extra charges! Our phones kept picking up the Canadian phone signal. But the wi-fi worked great do all was well.

A very special spot
This is a very special spot with wonderful views over the Dungeness Spit and with the Olympic mountains in the distance. We enjoyed seeing birds, deer and even a passing seal outside! Going down to the mud flats at low tide and beachcombing was fun. The house has everything needed in the kitchen, living areas and plenty of towels and linens, and the reservation and check-in process were easy and smooth. The only thing that we were not fully aware of from the listing is that the second bathroom is a half bath and then a second shower is in a hallway area near two of the bedrooms. It is workable for privacy but the details had not been fully clear in the listing. We were a group of 6 adults (a family of 5 and an adult child's partner) and it was a great place to stay. We would love to return in the future! Thank you so much!

Golf with the girls
We had a three day golf tournament at cedars at Dungeness. It was wonderful and relaxing coming back to the house. Watching the deer, birds and boats from the comfort of the living room was awesome. Would stay here again

Great Place
Had a few issues. Shower wouldn't drain, microwave didn't work at all, checkout instructions on fridge were different in a few ways than our email and the guest book. But ... beautiful setting and a nice house.

A Favorite Getaway Location
My friends and I have stayed here a couple of times now and it is a favorite. The sunset views are amazing. The only thing I could wish for is more comfortable seating for watching the sunset.

A week at the Windrift house
Everything was great. The house and kitchen are totally stocked with all needs. A dishwasher and an updated stove would make it even better but not a problem.

6 Hiking Friends
Great view over the Dungeness Spit across the water all along 1 side of the 1 story house. Constantly changing views with sunsets, clouds, ships, birds, deer, fawns..Well stocked kitchen plus view for our delicious nightly meals, large dining table for games, puzzles...
1st day hiked all the way to the Lighthouse on Dungeness Spit, 2nd day hiked beyond Lake Angeles, 3rd day hiked Hurricane Ridge, 4th day hiked Gray Wolf Trail to Gray Wolf River. Walked through the neighborhood to Wild Is Her Favorite Color flower stand to get the most vibrant glorious bouquet for the dining table. Clean, Cozy, Retro, the peaceful private location and view is totally worth quirky bathrooms. Simone was a hospitable and responsive host. We loved our stay.

Quiet seaside getaway
Loved the chance to stay at this amazingly beautiful natural place within short driving distance to activities when we wanted them. But we didn’t feel like we had to leave. Everything we needed was at the house, and we had walks on the beach, clamming, and amazing sunsets.

Shell Cottage
The house has the most lovely view of the straits and the Olympic mountains (from practically every room). The laundry room is higher with a million dollar view so that chore was suddenly fun. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped but no dishwasher so bring paper plates! The landscaping and the overall location is utterly charming - beach access, wild flowers, lavender plants, a garden, deer visits daily! I really liked this house and would have loved to stay even longer to explore the area and soak in the natural beauty of the land and the sea.
A couple nitpicks - the property owner is not great at communication so if you do run into an issue or question it may take some time to get it resolved. The second "bathroom" is part of a garage conversion and was a little weird.
Overall, good space in an absolutely lovely spot.

Cozy house with great views!
We very much enjoyed our stay and the house, especially the location and views of the bay, spit, and mountains from huge windows. The property management had good communication with us as far as check in and were flexible out check in and out times as there was not a lot of pressure from other renters coming or going.
The kitchen has plenty of dishes, glasses, and cookware, and nicely stocked with some essentials such as foil, spices, etc. A couple of things to be aware of that are not obvious from the listing: one of the the "twin" bedrooms is actually a trundle bed setup, so may not be ideal for 2 single folks needing to share a room. Also, there is not a dishwasher. With 8 adults sharing all duties, we did not find that to be a problem at all. I would recommend the property manager provide a silicone mat for the sink which could help prevent wine or water glasses from breaking if they slip out of your hand (as happened for me). All in all, a great place to stay.

Beautiful Home!
This house is lovely and is in a beautiful area! My only complaint is - it would be nice to have a larger couch- more seating overall in the living room - there is plenty of space! Would definitely stay there again!
