Overall I did enjoy my stay. The front desk staff especially the young gentleman with the glasses was very friendly and was always willing to help us with any questions we had. The housekeeper lady was so kind to us making sure we had everything we needed. Very close to bus stops/subway and walkable distance to main attractions, myeongdong for shopping and the night market. Convenience store located in the lobby was great for late night snacks and loading our transportation card. Free included breakfast was simple but still enjoyed it. The only negative thing I will state which has nothing to do with the staff as it is out of their control (again no issues with the staff, all were kind and friendly). This would be directed to the owner of the building. I think an upgrade on the carpets is necessary as it was really dirty with stains everywhere. Luckily we just wore slippers. Also one of the beds you could feel the spring from the mattress. I would stay here again as it was affordable and at a good location.

I have just had an enjoyable stay at the hotel from 3 to 12 April, and would like to express my sincere appreciation for the great service I received there. In particilar, I enjoyed most the free breakfast provided at the 15th floor. Not only was the breakfast provided both healthy and delicious but I was most impressed by the young pretty lady who served us at the 15/F cafe. Most of the time she was the only person serving the guests there. She, however, managed to ensure a continued supply of everything for the guests, while cleaning tables and washing dishes at the same time. I really admire her remarkable capability and very positive work attitude. She, in my view, is the soul of the cafe who ensures its smooth operation. The front-desk staff of the hotel were also very helpful. They provided very useful information, and reponded to my needs efficiently. The housekeeping ladies were very friendly and helpful, too. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much. My stay is really value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to my friends who visit Seoul in future.

Perfect place for solo travellers

I chose this hotel based on the reviews and my budget for almost 2 weeks of stay there and it was great decision. It is an awesome choice if you want to stay near most of the touristy places but also want to experience normal city life there. It has great location as myeongdong, cheongyochen stream,namsan tower, gwanghwamun square, gyeonbukang palace, insadong, ikseon dong, seoul museum of art are all at almost walking distance. They have a convenience store right near lobby, starbucks is stone away, the bus stop is right across the hotel and seoul station is 10mins by cab. The staff is also really polite, cordial and helpful as well. I really liked my stay here.

Pros: Only the location. it is near some of the popular tourist places, such as the Kyungbokgoong palace, Dongdaemoon, and Myungdong. Cons: it is extremely noisy every Saturday because of the demonstrations around the city hall. The room floors are very dirty. The beds are not comfortable, it feels like a cheap dorm room mattress. And the whole bathroom becomes wet since there is no shower curtain/door.

I have been very satisfied with my stay here, primarily because of the staff. I originally booked two nights, thinking I would be arriving on August 30. Six days before my flight I suddenly realized I would be arriving on the 29th, so I hurriedly booked another night, but in what was then available, a windowless room. When I showed up, there was some confusion but I explained the situation. Rather than stay one night in one room and then move to the other room, the manager made the decision to upgrade me at no charge so that I didn't have to switch rooms. Needless to say, I was very pleased. Yesterday I asked the young woman at the front desk where I could buy a contact lens case and hair mousse. She referred me to the convenience store in the hotel, where I was indeed able to purchase the contact lens case. I said goodbye to her when I left, and then a minute later she ran after to give me a couple of suggestions about where I might be able to purchase the hair styling mousse. I was so impressed by her desire to be helpful! As for my room, it was comfortable and had what I needed: a small fridge, hair dryer, teapot, Wifi and air conditioning. The only negatives were that I could sometimes hear one neighbor's TV at night and that it took me a while to figure out how not to spray water all over the bathroom (only have of the tub is sealed by glass). That said, I would certainly consider staying here again. Aside from the staff, the location is great!
