friendly and helpful staff.

i was here during quarantine, the staff was very helpful and helped me with quarantine instructions, and getting the test . Great value for the price. I already recommended this place to friends who visit Korea often.

Great stay here. Same place as step inn Myeongdong. Had good room. Hot water. Free breakfast. Friendly staff. On the 15th floor so away from street noise. Lax luggage storage. Not in a secure room. Just in the middle of the breakfast area. Overall a great stay and would stay again.

Solo Myeongdong Trip

Ekonomy Hotel had everything I needed for my stay. It was small, but cozy for me as a solo traveler. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the location was outstanding...right in Myeongdong, with instant access to shopping and STREET FOOD! Also, a short walk to underground shopping, Myeongdong station, and the airport bus. I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Location is great! Close by two metro lines which is very convenient. Multiple eateries open late into the night. The cathedral is also right across from the hotel.

Great time!

For less money this is a lot of value! And the staff is very kind and helpful. Additionally there's a massage place in the building and and when you step outside you have hundreds great eateries close by.

Excellent location for Meongdong shopping

The hotel is located in the heart of Meongdong and very convenient for shopping. As it is indicated in the other reviews, it is hard to find. The best way to get there is to look for Royal hotel, then the hotel is located on 15th &16th floors of the building in the alley between 2 buildings which is right next to Royal hotel and the one with Olive Young (see the red arrow of the hotel pic). Reception is on the 15th floor.

The location of the hotel is great! It is also its disadvantage. There is just a small board with hotel name (that too is 100 meter up in air!!!), It is not a seperate building but some floors on a building. It shall be mentioned to prospective customers (at least after they book the property if not earlier). It will save a lot of time in locating the property. I reached late in the night for check in. was wandering for good 30 minutes in the locality. It was only after some locals helped me, that I identified the building. It is next to "Seoul Royal Hotel" in Myengdong!!!

The room was small but acceptable since it’s in a great location. We had a problem with noise (walls are pretty thin) the first night due to the Filipinos next door chatting all night (10pm until 7am). Told the front desk in the morning and it was nice a quiet the next two nights.

Great Location

Hard to find at first but amazing location, specially of you are coming from the West hemisphere (extremely jet lag) being able to find food at 2 am is the best thing ever! Staff was really helpful and accommodating. If you are used to big breakfast, you are going to be disappointed with what the served. For us was okay to start our day.

Other Ekonomys I stayed at seemed nicer than this and had better beds and their showers were the “separated kind” BUT it was still somewhat clean. It was quiet and right in the heart of Myeongdong which was perfect. Staff was pretty friendly as well. Overall I would probably stay here again if not just for the location.

This hotel is nice if you are staying in Myeongdong most of the time. It is easy to find the 2 subway stations as well. We found a few bugs in the room.

Small room size but adequate. No separate shower area; thus the whole bathroom gets wet when showering. No hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom. Otherwise, it's a good budget hotel right in the center of the Myeongdong shopping district

Budget hotel to stay in the heart of Myeongdong

I needed to visit Seoul for a couple of days and ended up booking this hotel because it seemed to offer what I needed - good location and amenities at a relatively low price. Fortunately, it met most of my expectations. While the room was tad small, it had pretty much everything I needed, including clean bed, place to hang my clothes, and a shower room. One drawback was that there was a hint of moldy smell, although there wasn't anything particularly visible that might have caused it. I stayed two nights and the room seemed to have been serviced every day, which was a good touch. Self-served continental breakfast was available at the lobby with a nice variety of menus. One thing different from the larger hotels was that you were to wash the dishes you used afterwards.

Great Hotel! Next to Twosome Coffee & 24hr 7Eleven

Overall stay was great..4/5 for me.. Considering The budget price.. All I need was a place to shower, rest, and recouperate for the next days scheduled activities. Because there is some sort of construction going on, there were some loud banging during odd hours (1am-3am) Not sure why that is. Anyhow, the guest kitchenette is kept clean and available for use 24hrs. Breakfast is available til 10am.. Seriously not bad for a short stay in the Myeongdong area especially when you can get to shopping right away. If you're planning on staying here, you can take exit 6 and walk straight down (Migliore to your left and Uniqlo to your right) its about a 5-10 minute walk depending on how many people are out. (If you walk pass Mcdonalds, you need to turn around and look for Daiso.. To left of you if you passed it) if you're proceeding the right way and did not pass a McDonalds..You'll see Daiso to the right.. Take that right and proceed for another minute. You will see Twosome to your left and 7Eleven to your right) Ekonomy Hotel is on the 16th Floor.

Overall it was a great stay. Would like to suggest some improvement for the toilet, flow of hotwater for shower not consistent.It will great if hotel guest that come back after midnight to lower the noise from talking door closing and walking. The guys at the counter were great and helpful and cheerful really make our stay more enjoyable.
