A calm place to breathe. 12 minutes south of Elkwater. Off the beaten path, out in nature, quiet and peaceful. A place to discover space, fresh air and great memories. It is nestled in the Cypress Hills, surrounded by nature, and the wide open sky. Make sure to have a look at the stars at night! The kitchen is large and the living room has large windows to let in the beautiful view. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 queen beds, one bedroom also has a bunk bed, there is a rollaway cot, a queen air mattress in frame and a couch to sleep on. There is no TV or Wifi. Close to beach, fishing, golfing, lake, gas bar, pub, boating, interprovincial park,downhill skiing, cross county skiing, weekend church services. We welcome HUNTERS. Endless hot water and two sets of washers and dryers for your convenience.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

A spotless cabin, peaceful scenery, cozy homey feel, warm, pet-friendly, and spacous for 11 photographers. Great spot for astro photography as we caught the Milky Way and lots of stars away from light pollution. A welcoming home. Tara, the host seemed to take good care and put lots of thought into building the ambience of the home. A little late in providing check-in instructions which was provided the day before but that may be due to Vrbo's app glitching. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot! :)

Zoom Group Gettogether

We are a group of 8 70 year old classmates/spouses from Alberta and Sask who have been keeping touch with one another via weekly Zoom sessions since Covid 2020. This guest house was the perfect size and location for us. It was great having no tv/wifi during our 3 night getaway. We did day trips to Havre, Montana and across the park to Fort Walsh in Sask, both within 1 1/2 hours of the house. Families wanting to enjoy the beach, golfing, skiing etc would love having these activities all within a 15/20 min drive around Elkwater. The property was immaculate and extremely well supplied with everything we needed for our stay, and the night skies were breathtaking. Our host was very quick to get back to us with any questions we had. Wish our stay could have been longer. Highly recommend!!!

Great place

We were 9 adults and 5 children under 6. We never felt cramped. There was room in the kitchen for 2 cooks and 2 people to prep. The fridge held a week's worth of food for 14 people. The pantry was massive and held all our dry goods for the week. There were plenty of dishes for 14 people including child friendly utensils, plates and bowls. With the large island we sat 14 comfortably for meals. We brought our own high chair. The beds were comfy. There was no air conditioning but the house stayed cool despite plus 30 weather. We brought extra blankets to snuggle on the large living room furniture in the evening because it got extra cool overnight which made sleeping so comfy. The bathrooms are extra large. The children loved playing on the outdoor airplane seesaw and little playhouse. The view was beautiful. It was a short 10 minute drive to the beach at Elkwater. There was no WiFi which made us enjoy each other's company even more.

Great home base near Cypress

Easy to communicate with. Property was very clean and well stocked with a large kitchen and living room area. Nice place for families with kids. It was a little tighter for all adults to sleep. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great base to visit lots of the nearby sites from. We were a little surprised at how close we were to other trailers and houses. Our family enjoyed our get away and would recommend to others.

Lovely, spacious, clean home!

This property was great for a multi- family getaway! There was lots of space for adults and kids to spread out even on rainy days. We appreciated having dishes appropriate for young kids. The house was very clean and everything we needed was there. The only thing I’d mention was the sofa bed is in a high traffic area, so you could use it in a pinch, but not really as a fourth bedroom. Thanks for a great stay!

Clean and comfortable

What a wonderful place to get away with a group of friends. The accommodations had everything we could want, large kitchen to group cook, large comfortable sitting area. Easy to find your own space even with other couples sharing the accommodations. Beautiful setting in Alberta ranch country with lots of outdoor adventures within a short distance of the accommodations. We would stay here again.

Beautiful country home

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. This house is BIG! It has a very spacious kitchen and living room. The bathrooms are also spacious. It was very clean and well-stocked with everything you need and more! The view is gorgeous and there are lots of big windows to see outside. Just an FYI- there was no pull out couch in the living room if that's something you need.

Quality Family Retreat

We are from Saskatchewan and our daughter lives in BC. It was a great location for us to meet to celebrate her 30th birthday. There were three couples and it was a very comfortable house for us for the weekend. The no tv and Wi-Fi was brilliant as we enjoyed quality family time! Tara was very responsive and communicated well. The house was very clean and was equipped with all of the necessities. We did make a few suggestions for minor improvements and Tara was very approachable. We loved the wood stove and firewood was provided for both that and the outdoor fire pit. Elkwater is a very nice community. We were able to get a disc golf game in at the Wispering Pines course as well as a nice hike. We were really looking forward to star gazing in the dark sky preserve, unfortunately it was overcast while we were there. We are hoping the sky is clear the next opportunity we have to enjoy a visit at this wonderful property.
