Unsafe, Misleading, and Overpriced – Would Not Recommend
We stayed here during a nearby convention, and while the location was advantageous and we felt safe, the property was misrepresented and poorly maintained—more like a dorm room than the elegant listing described.The oven caught fire the first time we used it, with no smoke alarm in the kitchen. We had to extinguish the fire ourselves and couldn’t cook afterward, wasting groceries and spending extra on takeout. The heat pump cycled loudly 24/7, making sleep nearly impossible. The “fully stocked kitchen” was barebones—chipped cookware, no toaster. The fold-out bed was on the wrong floor, and we (older guests) had to move it. The balcony doors didn’t open, and the screen door was lying on the ground. Closets were missing, replaced with a flimsy rack. The carpet was dirty, and stair treads were peeling. We had to let in a handyman during our stay, which disrupted our plans. Despite a promise of scent-free linens, everything was heavily fragranced.After our stay, the host asked us to leave a 5-star review—which felt especially inappropriate given everything we experienced. The property fell far short of what one would reasonably expect for nearly 500 per night. After much effort, we received partial compensation that did not come close to covering the financial and logistical disruptions of our stay. The property did not match the photos, amenities, or tone of the listing. Proceed with caution.
