Older hotel. No air conditioning. The room was way too hot at summer time and should not be rented for full price. Nice location with a view to the castle and very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent too.

A unique hotel close to the heart of Savonlinna. Easy stay and had a good breakfast with plenty of options. Rooms can get hot in the summer as there was no ac, just a fan. Luckly visited at the end of summer with lower temperatues

Great location by the lake, with beautiful views. This is an older property which has been repurposed. It would be great if they redid the interiors to make it more comfortable, although it is an interesting view of an older hotel. It faces the sun in the morning, so the rooms get quite hot and opening the windows can only cool it so much, so it was quite warm in the evening. This was mid-summer, so perhaps in the winter this works well. The breakfast option was good. Young staff, helpful and courteous.

At the end of the day, all I really need is a quiet place to sleep and I got it. The reason for the poor reviews is that there was no WIFI despite it being advertised when I booked the room. This made it difficult to plan activities and meals. The TV did not work either. Normally this would not be a big deal, but you think this would be a priority during the World Cup. There is also no staff on hand or front desk to offer any assistance. On a positive note, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast was pretty good.
