Savannah Historic District Row House + Sun Room!

Peaceful townhouse in a central downtown location. The home has 2 'master' bedrooms with King size beds, plus a bonus room with a Twin daybed and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The upstairs full bathroom is off the hallway and a new full bathroom off the Back Bedroom & Twin Bed alcove. Note the Twin daybed room is not an independent bedroom as one must walk through the back King bedroom to get to the Twin room.

Downstairs you will find a half bathroom, dining room, living room and private enclosed sun room with deep seating. Full kitchen. Shared rear courtyard with plenty of seating (shared with the carriage house detached apartment on the same lot. This historic brick home was constructed in 1871. The generously sized all brick house was designed and built for Adele Goerz, one of Savannah's earliest female real estate developers. Adele, the widow of a baker raised 3 children on her own after his early death. This and 3 other houses on this block were her first investment in what became a lifelong business venture.

​​​​​​​Parking is free on the non-metered public street on this block and you're welcome to bring 2 cars. Ask if you want tips on off street paid satellite parking in parking decks. Metered parking starts about 1 block away and meters are best handled with a 'Visitors Parking Day Pass' available to cover all day/night parking for travelers. The Pass is $8 per 24 hours or $14 per 48 hours as of 2017. This can be purchased from the Visitors Center on MLK, the Parking Services office on Bryan or the 17hundred90 Inn front desk at 302 E Presidents Street.

The property was spotless! It was centrally located for everything we needed. We parked and never had to move our car. We were able to walk to River Street, City Market, and the tour trolley pick up easily. We felt very safe walking and thoroughly enjoyed the property.

Kitchen was clean. We really did not cook very much.But my husband needed a smaller nonstick skillet to cook his breakfast in. The first morning, the coffee maker would NOT turn on. Heavens to Betsy! Thankfully we brought our little pod coffee maker, so we were able to caffeinate. I notified the office, and a new coffee pot was there when we returned.

We loved our stay in this Row House. I have no complaints whatsoever. Comfortable spacious rooms and a beautiful updated master bathroom. Incredible location in downtown historic Savannah and walking distance to tons of great restaurants and night life. We really enjoyed sitting out on the lovely back patio as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Being a fan of antiques, I loved the history of the home, the exposed brick, original hardwoods and fireplace. The location is perfect to downtown as well as hopping right on the road to Tybee Island beaches. It’s within walking distance of restaurants. The house was very clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies, toilet paper, paper towels. Communication was easy as well as check-in.We will definitely rebook when returning to Savannah.

Family weekend getaway

Great location for a family getaway. Walking distance to everything we needed. Better price than a decent hotel room in the area yet it has the comforts of home. Everything was as good as expected or better! The only negative was a funky smell when the A/C kicked on during the last night of our stay. The smell lingered for about 30 minutes. Other than that, it was a great experience!

Birthday celebration

Our stay went well, all was as described. 4 star due to uncomfortable sleeping conditions; bring your own pillow. Heat worked too well upstairs and very little downstairs. If we turned heat on we would suffocate upstairs. So we froze downstairs so we could sleep a bit more comfortably. Would recommend owners to invest in electric fireplace to knock chill off downstairs. Also it was a bit noisey for front bedroom in the morning during the week. Love Savannah, visited from Florida multiple times.

Perfect Spot!

What a great spot to enjoy friends and catch a quaint, historic part of the city. Sweet place within walking distance to perfect restaurants and coffee shops, parks and squares, and beautiful old buildings with majestic oaks towering over the streets. We walked for hours through the sweet canopies and had the best time with friends. Great hosts and great location.
