This unit is adorable, very thoughtfully furnished, and the location couldn't be more perfect. Here comes the "but." It rained a lot while we were in Savannah for the weekend. Rain happens, but we noticed A LOT of mold all over the unit. The bedroom ceiling is riddled with mold beginning to form on the dry wall. There is rodding and molded wood by the front door and the unit smelled musty, not old house musty, mold musty. It made our noses itch and my eyes water (we're from GA) it wasn't pollen. We tried to use the AC and the fan to circulate the air, but it didn't seem to help during our Friday-Sunday stay. On our last night water began to leak from under the shower and into the bathroom. We were able to contain it with bathmats and towels, but just another indication that some water remediation needs to be done. To sandwich, the unit was thoughtfully updated and the bathroom was gorgeous. Management was responsive to my concerns, but there wasn't a whole lot to be done so I don't blame them. Old buildings are cute and totally Savannah, but this stuff happens. I would LOVE to stay here again. It was a great space in a great location, but I sincerely hope that the owners take the time to give it some TLC.
