Great house! Clean, comfortable and fully stocked. My husband and I took a winter weekend away and really enjoyed our stay here. I wish we could have stayed longer.

How You Dune was spotless, perfectly laid out with every little thing we needed to make our stay happy and comfortable. The river view was heavenly. Loved the property being so close to Mt. Baldhead, Oval Beach, the chain ferry, the Saugatuck historical museum. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dog. She had the best time! Host made everything easy with detailed info on where to go, what to do. We’d live there forever if we could afford it! Haha! Worth every penny. Thank you for opening up your wonderful home to us. It was our first time to Saugatuck, and it won’t be our last.

Beautiful home!

The home is gorgeous, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Close drive to all the fun things in town, and walking distance to the beach and some lovely hikes. Will be staying here again!

Summer Getaway

Beautiful, well stocked home right on the river. Perfect spot near beaches and downtown Saugatuck. All the comforts you would want in a vacation home. We will definitely be back!

This is an absolutely beautiful home that you can tell has been cared for and updated. Very well furnished and with everything we could think of in the Kitchen.A perfect location on the Douglas side of the river near the Mt. Baldhead stairs and Overlook trailhead for good morning walks. Overlooking the river, with a dock and sitting areas perfect for evening fires.

This is by far one of the best experiences ever. Beautifully decorated home, with all of the comforts and amenities at your finger tips. Quiet private location overlooking the water. Can't beat it!

Teen friendly vacation

This was the perfect retreat for our active family. The checkin communication was seamless, everything was clean and beds were so comfortable. The games and record player were such a hit and made for great family time in the eveings. My teens were very happy jamming to music, hiking and kayaking all week. And the chain ferry access gave them some independence to go to town on their own a bit. Well done and thank you for sharing your home with us!

One of our Favorite Stays

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful property. It was perfect for 2 adults and our well-trained lab. Everything in the description is accurate. The location is in a quiet setting with friendly neighbors, on a narrow waterfront road. Deer, ducks, turkeys, and birds are plentiful. We enjoyed strenuous walks up Mount Baldhead and throughout the nearby woods. The views are incredible! This is one of the best homes we have found on VRBO. We hope to return again "in season" when the weather is warmer.

Smaller than expected. Would have liked to have a TV in main bedroom. Great view of the river. My next bathroom remodel will include a bidet (my first adventure there, thank you).Next time we will stay on the other side of the river. Neighbor was friendly. Appreciated the pet friendly aspect.

Excellent Accommodations

Great location but across the river from downtown, affording privacy. Beautiful house with an awesome kitchen, private dock with kayaks and a firepit by the river. We loved staying here and will return to this house if our schedules align. This house and the neighboring house share a whole home generator which was a nice surprise when bad weather came through on the last night and we lost power. Power wasn't restored until after we checked out but was nice to wake up to power, making showers, cooking and packing to leave easier.

Cozy and modern home in a pretty perfect location

This house is a great spot for a small family or two couples looking for peace and comfort while they're in the area.It has two "big enough" bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The bathroom attached to the main bedroom is massive and has a tub for unwinding or washing kiddos.It should be noted that families with younger kids who'd need space for a bassinet/pack-and-play would probably need to set it up outside of the main suite or take the slightly bigger secondary room without the attached bathroom.The common area was open and well-furnished with an incredible kitchen that had plenty of prep space and a large dining table, a TV room that we didn't use much since it was right outside of the bedrooms, and a seating area surrounding the working fireplace.The outdoor area is fantastic with a furnished patio where we'd have drinks every evening, and an outdoor table just a few feet away across the small road with access to a small pier.The location is the best part of the property. The house is on a secluded road with no through traffic right next to Mt. Baldhead and the Chain Ferry, a 10-minute walk to one of the best trail networks in the area, and a very short drive from everything else. It's the perfect rallying point to check out everything the area has to offer.The only knocks are that the wifi info in the welcome packet was not correct—not a huge deal—and that the property manager was really only responsive the day we checked in.We'd stay here again.
