It was well located, clean and comfortable/ The staff was great both times I stayed. For the money it was a great value and I would definitely stay again. Easy to the airport minutes away. Far enough from the freeway so it's quiet.
With so many hotels in Saskatoon, it was hard to choose! In town for a few days but we booked the Comfort Inn. We had a suite room which was very spacious for two people. This location is very close to the Saskatoon International airport - very handy for business travellers. Close to the downtown and great restaurants. The room was very clean and I am picky when it comes to cleanliness in a hotel room. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I found the breakfast attendant very helpful and was always cleaning or restocking the breakfast area. Great value for location so convenient to the airport, Will definitely stay at this hotel again!
Although this hotel is old, it has had some upgrades and is clean and quiet. the rooms are a good size and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The front desk customer service lady, Ramen, was efficient, helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was better than expected, as it included waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt and fruit as well as the standard cereal, muffins, toast, coffee and juice. Overall very good value!
I found this hotel through another review blog, and saw that a rep. from the hotel was replying to peoples comments and concerns. I didn't believe it was an actual representative, so I contacted this person to find out about a stay and what they could do for me. I was amazed. This Guy,Vik, from the Comfort Inn, called my cell within minutes of me sending an email. I told him I had to fly to Alberta and needed breakfast before I leave and parking for 10 days. He gave me a great rate, and had breakfast to go, bagged up in our room the night before, because we had to leave before breakfast began at the hotel. I couldn't believe that a hotel would go out of their way to accommodate date us. I swear i will never stay at another hotel when I need one close to the airport in Saskatoon. I am actually flying to Newfoundland on January 26th and ofcourse, I didn't even call the hotel to book a room, I emailed Vik directly, and told him I need a room and a months parking. His reply...It's all set, Room, Breakfast to go again (early flight) and parking for the month I'm gone....WOW is all I can say.. This man is amazing.. Comfort Inn is the place to stay when by the airport.
Stayed Oct 26/17 in a pet room. First problem was booking, called a few days before because of the pet and the number for the hotel when they dont pick up goes to a call center. The man on the line i could not even understand and when i ask for the phone number for the hotel could barely understand me. Didnt know where saskatoon sask was so he gave me Brandon Manitoba. I called back the same number and ask him where his located at and he hung up on me. I finally reached the hotel and told the front desk about my experiance with the call center and still I booked a pet room. We arrived arrived that night around 9;30 pm after driving 6 hrs and booked into the room. I found the room very dirty with hair on the bathroom floor , in the tub and between the sheets. The floor didnt look like it had seen a vaccum for awhile. Disappointed because a pet room should be cleaner that a regular room. I should have asked for a different room but it was late and we were tired. Next time i will at $147.00 a night. One good thing was the staff was friendly
Stayed at the comfort inn in Regina and was impressed with its cleanliness so tried the comfort inn in Saskatoon. It was the exact hotel just built in Saskatoon. It was newly refurbished as well, nicely done. Rooms had a good feeling about them. It wasn't quite as clean as Regina, but it was good. Two floors, no elevator. Not far from airport, but not a very walkable area as area was lacking sidewalks. We walked to the Lawson Heights Mall anyways, was about a 10000 step walk round trip for short legged person like me. Breakfast lacked. Had hot and cold, but the waffle mix seemed watery and ended up uncooked in the middle, never had a problem with waffles before as they are pretty much fail proof. There were eggs and sausage which was ok. The simple addition of bagels would make this breakfast so much better. Slept well, and room on 2nd floor near end was quiet. Would stay again.
We stayed in this hotel twice in the length of 3 months, first time we stayed, the lady gave us a room next to the back door and it was not a good night sleep because people kept going in and out at night with the door banging; second time just last oct 16 I booked for 2 nights on a ground floor room, upon checking in my fiancé requested a room far from the door to avoid the noises but, the lady charged my fiancé an extra 10 bucks just to be on the main floor, coz she said We were supposed to be on the upper level on my reservation, even when I reserved the Ground level,my fiancé didn’t wanna argue coz we were tired from our trip. So she put us in room 110, around midnight there was a party next to our room and people were so loud till around 3 to 4 in the morning. It was so annoying. We will not stay here again. Only nice thing in this hotel was The cleaning lady. She was nice to ask if we need cleaning the next day and She was so kind to give us fresh towels.
Plenty places to eat nearby. Excellent choices for the breakfast, more than you would expect (e.g. 4 types of cereal, greek yogurt plus the usual) for free. Internet was fast and Skype was not blocked. Will recommend as great value for money. Efficient staff. No elevator access to upper floor but wide staircases .
Very basic facility. Very small lobby and partially renovated room and bathroom. Room was ok for one night but paying $5 to $10 extra can get much better room in area. Entrance door does not open automatically it becomes problem when carrying luggage. Floor mats stuck in door as well. Garbage was overflowing at entrance till 11am at the time of check out. Not pleasant to see.
It was great value for the stay. An excellent continental breakfast!! Even though the fire alarm went off because of some prank, I felt good about how quickly the firemen and police responded. Too bad about the mess that the prank caused for the staff to have to clean up.
