La suite de Elisabeth en el corazón del centro medieval de Sarlat

Este apartamento, diseñado solo para 2 personas, fue completamente renovado durante la primera mitad de 2019: materiales modernos y antiguos (chimenea vieja, molduras en el techo, baldosas de cemento, piedra ...) ahora se codean. A 1 minuto a pie de la Maison de la Boétie y la Catedral de Saint-Sacerdos, esta suite de 66 m2 y su terraza plantada y amueblada de 29 m2 con orientación sur / sureste, lo sumergen en un ambiente elegante y refinado. Uno de los pocos apartamentos con una amplia terraza, en el corazón del centro medieval de Sarlat, conocido por tener una alta densidad de monumentos históricos. Tarifa de limpieza obligatoria € 60 a pagar en el sitio.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA SUITE
Este hermoso apartamento de 66 m2 completamente renovado en 2019 se encuentra en el primer piso de un edificio de piedra del siglo XIX. Se puede acceder a esta suite desde su terraza privada. La cocina totalmente equipada con electrodomésticos de alta gama se abre por un lado a la sala de estar con aire acondicionado con techos moldeados y chimenea de época y, por el otro, a una pequeña área de lectura / descanso de 6 m2 instalada en un dosel. Este último ofrece una vista de una segunda terraza a la que no se puede acceder desde este apartamento, así como de hermosos edificios de piedra. La espaciosa habitación da a un encantador baño con ducha de piedra y bañera sobre el suelo (los baños son independientes, aislados por una partición). Un piso de parquet de roble renovado y colocado en el respeto de la tradición cubre toda la superficie del apartamento. Los propietarios han elegido diseñar un apartamento con una decoración cuidada, llena de encanto, espacioso y funcional para 2 personas solamente.. (ideal para una pareja que busca comodidad y tranquilidad)

A Bit Frustrating

The apartment is great. Stylish, well equipped, good location. Be aware communication is all in French, though the VRBO listing states English is spoken, unless you are fluent in French you will need to be proficient with Google Translate. Check in process was stressful - checkin meeting information arrived in French via WhatsApp late the night before - & only after contacting VRBO with concern that we could not reach the owner. Apparently all involved work full time & arranging a meeting time was problematic. Would recommend you ask for the lockbox combination well ahead of time to avoid a similar situation. Could totally have been a one time situation, but not knowing if we actually had a place for the week or not, up until 10.40pm the night before was rather stressful…once in the apartment it’s exactly as listed & very comfortable.

Excellent Stay in Sarlat

Elisabeth’s Suite is a must if you are planning a visit to Sarlat. The space is extremely convenient to the old town area and parking was mostly easy - note that when you are driving up to the free parking lot, the street is extremely narrow and as you drive up it there is a painted arrow that makes it seem like you are driving up a one way, YOU ARE GOING the correct way. The apartment itself is fantastic with two separate outdoor patio areas and a good sized kitchen and living area for France. The bedroom and bathroom make the space, a king size bed and an amazing shower and tub live up to American style. I give 4 stars for check in only because in this day and age, most renters are used to checking in on their own and not having to meet someone. Meeting Lucie was not an issue at all and some may prefer the hands on touch, but for us personally, it changed some of our plans getting there so we could be arriving inside the checkin allotment.

The perfect base to explore the Dordogne Valley.

An exquisitely finished apartment located in the heart of beautiful Sarlat. Numerous bars and restaurants within metres of the front door. From here, we were able to easily visit many of the famous Dordogne villages and chateaux. Florence and Laurent, the apartment owners, were welcoming and supportive throughout our stay. Could not speak more highly of this place.

Lovely apartment close to everything

This apartment was immaculate and comfortable. Everything was close by, including the free parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this apartment in Sarlat. One thing to note, the apartment does not have a dryer to go with the washing machine, but it did have a drying rack to use. It worked for us because we had some sunny days.

Incredible Stay !!

We absolutely loved our stay in Elizabeth’s Suite! The apartment was so beautifully decorated and everything you needed was supplied. We really felt like it was a home away from home. The location was outstanding. The markets were literally outside your front door. We stayed for a week but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Communication with our host was easy and we were accommodated with an early check in. I highly recommend this because accommodation.

Lovely Flat, Both Historic and Modern

We spent four days in Elisabeth's Suite in Sarlat in the Périgord in southwestern France. The hosts could not have been more helpful, both before our arrival and during our time there. The appartment, in a building adjacent to the medieval wall of the city, was lovingly restored, keeping traditional aspects but including modern additions: washer, dishwater, induction cooktop, and espressor machine. It was near restaurants, the tourist office, the cathedral, and the extensive Saturday Market.

Perfect spot in Sarlat

This was our second time staying here, and if we make another return trip to Sarlat we will hopefully be able to stay here again. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and in a perfect location to see the town as well as easily access your car to make day trips to the surrounding area. The hosts are accommodating and responsive. Highly recommended.

Great place and location!

We enjoyed staying here. The location was convenient not only for seeing Sarlat, but also getting to other nearby towns. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. There is plenty of room for 2 people to stay a week. Would highly recommend.

Elisabeth’s Suite is a rare find. It is situated in the old town centre of Sarlat, a truly beautiful village. It is also centrally located for exploring the many other beautiful villages around the Dordogne.

Perfect rental in Sarlat

Excellent location that is near parking and the old town, clean and very comfortable apartment with a nice terrace, friendly and responsive hosts. If (hopefully, when) we return to Sarlat, this will absolutely be our first choice for a rental.

Perfect location in Sarlat

Beautiful one-bedroom apartment easy walking distance into the old city. Difficult to find with our GPS. Finally switched to Via Michelin and found the parking lot we were instructed to find. Cynthia came out to the parking lot and helped us bring the luggage up to the apartment. There are steps from the parking lot to the street and a long steep flight of steps from the street up to the entrance to the apartment. The apartment itself is all on one level except for a small step between the bathroom and the bedroom, but since the floors in both rooms are the same, it was easy to forget it was there and trip. Cynthia warned us about it when she showed us the apartment and we still tripped several times. The bathroom has no door, just some attractive framing on each side of the large opening. The toilet, however, is tucked into a private corner. There is a lovely soaking tub with a sprayer and a glass stall shower and double sink vanity. Our only issue was that we normally leave a light on in the bathroom at night and close the door, but with no door this was not an option and too much light spilled into the bedroom to comfortably sleep. We wish there could have been an independent light just in the toilet area. There are lights on each nightstand and reading lights on each side of the bed, but they are bright enough to disturb someone who wakes up when the light comes on. Our only other issue was the parking- the lot a block from the house stopped being free on March 1st. Cynthia showed us the next closest free parking lot, which was a healthy hike up a steep hill. We had a few small issues, but the owners responded quickly and were dedicated to correcting the problems. We were in Sarlat for the Festival of the Goose and the location of the apartment was perfect. We had a wonderful time at the festival and really enjoyed our time in Sarlat. It was great to have a kitchen.

Beautiful town.....

Great location and beautiful apartment. Free parking literally up the road. There was a Christmas market on right outside, but the windows must be good in the apartment as we couldn't really hear the music much. Loads to see and do in the area and being out of season no queues! We will be back, thank you.
