Check in was easy. Simple email communication. When we pulled in e we noticed several pieces of the soffit were missing and a pillar holding up the overhang was severely askew. Inside, at first glance, the space was clean, however there was an odor hanging in the air, strongest in the kitchen. This was due to black water standing in the garbage disposal. The sink drain was blocked off by a rag and some paper towels. The host did say she was having some one come take care of the plumbing. Adding to the smell was trash in the can that was under the extra bags. Inside the space there were no dressers or places for out things. The kitchen was devoid of silverware, cups, and other kitchen items needed for a planned weeks stay. The room of the kitchen (which obviously used to be the laundry room) still had the laundry vent hole through the wall. In addition, and the room we found a lighter and aluminum foil which was used to cook a drug of some sort. The bathroom, shower handles, though they turned on the water, spun continuously, and refound difficult to turn off. The final straw were the cockroaches that came out at night. The manager tried passing them off as Palmetto bugs. However, Palmetto bug is another name for the Florida cockroach.
