Superb from the time you are welcomed by friendly smiles at the reception till you depart....lounge, restaurant, breakfast with an amazing view and fully functional guest rooms. The place to stay. Oh did I mention the Thai spa!
The Tivoli exceeded all our expectations. What a wonderful hotel! And what a wonderful staff! Even with communications issues – not everyone speaks English – the staff went out of their way to meet our every request and need. Going to Brazil for the first time, we flew into Sao Paulo, and while we had considered going with a US or international Luxury brand, I am glad we found the Tivoli Mofarrej which is located in the Jardins neighborhood, right off the Avenue Paulista, one of the major shopping streets in the city with several malls, markets and museums. On Sundays, the street closes to car traffic and is exclusively used for foot and bike traffic. We like well-run hotels, and we are not strangers to great customer service, facilities and ambience at the high-end hotels we normally stay at when we travel. Having stayed at Four Seasons, Ritz, Waldorf and other similar properties, we recognize the feel of a well-run hotel. We also enjoy getting value for money spent! This hotel delivered and never left us wishing we had stayed anywhere but there. The lobby is a very nice space, and the restaurant off the lobby is great for a drink, a bite and some wonderful live music on certain nights of the week! On our Saturday night there, we were treated to a fabulous band in the downstairs bar – packed room, great music, wonderful lead singers. The restaurant on the top floor served a delicious breakfast buffet, and the manager was so helpful, making us feel very welcome, and even suggested some wonderful foods I had never tried before. The same space also seems to be a high-end destination for residents out for a night on the town, with well-dressed Paulistas lining up at the elevators on Saturday night! Our actual room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-appointed with a nice view and plenty of space. We loved the turn-down service and rainfall shower! The pool looked very nice- tucked off the first-floor bar in a beautiful garden setting, but it rained for most of our stay so we did not use it. The spa was lovely- although there are no spa facilities (jacuzzi, steam room etc.) but they make up for it with a foot bath ceremony prior to the treatment and a small fruit snack and tea in the relaxation room after. My massage was fabulous. I like deep tissue massage, and having just endured a 12-hour flight, I felt amazing after my massage. Back to the staff - The staff at this hotel is incredible- extremely well trained and helpful! The people at the Tivoli make the hotel truly exceptional. Not only were they most accommodating of our every request, when we forgot some shirts at the hotel, they went above and beyond to get them back to us. The hotel arranged to ship the shirts to Rio, and when there was a glitch in the postal coding, and the shirts were returned to Sao Paulo, the staff delivered the shirts to me at the airport before we flew home to the US. From our first contact with the hotel to our last, there was never any doubt in my mind that the staff truly cares for their guests and is willing to do whatever necessary to deliver first rate customer service. Whether in Sao Paulo or any other country where they have hotels, we would absolutely seek out and choose to stay at a Tivoli hotel again.
I visited the bar MUST, on Friday night, and it really had nice atmosphere. It was one of my best friends birthday, and I asked Garson, Fabio to celebrate him, and he actually helped us a lot, nice support and we had fun time there!
I had most amazing experience at Tivoli Mofarrej during my stay. We were in a group of 12 people and we all loved the hotel. Their beds are amazing, the comforter, pillows, linen, towels, shower!! The location is perfect for business meetings during the day and a close to the best areas of São Paulo´s hopping night life! Security is also a plus since you need your key to go to your floor! The spa services offered by their world famous SPA is amazing! Breakfast is served with a view from the 23rd floor!!! They have two bars in location: Must Bar and Seen, which are very worth the trip. Reservations for SEEN should be done well in advance! The view my window was amazing!!!
We loved the hotel, the room we had was a suite with garden view. Everybody in the hotel made us feel welcome. The restaurant in the 23th floor serves great breakfast. The hotel is very near Paulista Ave, where you find shopping malls and art galleries.
We stayed at the Tivoli for four nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was excellent and the service wonderful. The hotel has an A plus location and ambience. The hotel restaurant is outstanding and the people who work at the hotel are very warm and welcoming. At the concierge desk, ask for Marjorry. She really helped to make our stay special. Joao at the front desk also was very helpful. We fell in love with the hotel and Sao Paulo and plan to return in the spring.
Great location that is near to a lot in downtown Sao Pualo. Continental breakfast and bars are awesome. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi was a little iffy - but only negative mark. The view from top at bar is something you need to experience.
The stay at the hotel was very unpleasant due to daily disturbances: - The hotel was booked through 2 different websites for the stay of 4 nights: - every day at breakfast we would be requested to pay the bill even though it was included in the booking (each day ,every morning, we had to explain over and over the same thing that the breakfast has been paid for) - Every day the hotel would be bothering us in regards to the settlement of the bill in advance since we left a guarantee of 200 EUROS and our bill exceeded this amount. Knowing that we will be checking out the following day we would be sent daily letters by the hotel to settle partially the difference (as if we would actually leave without paying - very unprofessional and discriminative since it shows that we are people that eat and drink from the hotel) - 2 to 3 times a day the key card to the room was not working (we did not have it next to our phones, and this is the excuse the reception would be giving us), so 2-3 times a day we would need to call from upstairs and wait in hallway for someone to bring us new keys - There is complimentary coffee, but not tea (never seen it in any of the visited hotel of the world). The funny thing is that we have requested a kettle thinking that we have tea bags. We were brought the kettle but when we requested the tea bags, we were asked how many we need and we said 5. We were brought 1 kettle with a cup and 3 tea bags and charged 30 RS - as if we requested 3 cups of tea (each kettle with 1 cup and tea bag is 10RS so that means that we were charged 10 RS per TEA BAG!!!! Ridiculous). Having in mind that we were not even informed about it. At breakfast on 2.08.2017 - I have requested an omelette and 20 minutes later it still did not come. I have asked the waiter where it is and she told me she would check. After seeing that she completely ignored my request I went to the floor manager and then 3 minutes later I got my omelette. Just because I was on the phone I did not really realise how much time passed, but after checking the first call I made after ordering it is unacceptable to be forgotten by the staff for over 20 minutes. Overall the stay was very nervous and tiring due to all the hassle from the reception, hotel staff etc and we are happy to be checking out tomorrow. The only silver lining of the cloudy hotel is the concierge Marjorry who was very helpful and kind and assisting. Everything she was suggesting was perfect and the only person making this stay very pleasant for us.
We had a fantastic room on the 21st floor, extremely clean and the service was just awesome!! All the staff right from the doorman, reception and Concierge were extremely warm and helpful. A special thanks to Marjorry for going our of her way to help us out. We had tough time with the language since we don't know Portuguese but she gave us tons of information and hence we knew what to expect Me only concern, if at all was that we had a 3 year old with us and they were unable to cook something for her as a special request.
This is a decent hotel. Big rooms, great bar, a pool and an awesome breakfast! The area seemed safe in daylight but that said, a group of us went out in the evening and didn't feel too uncomfortable. Same as any big city I guess!
