Didn't want to leave this lovely place, great place to chill out and relax. Be aware it is right by the airport so you will hear planes all day and late into the night. Resturant was fab, great food and well priced. Happy hour at the bar would continue as long as you were buying drinks. Rooms nice but bathrooms a let down, showers terrible. Air con didn't work the first two nights we were there.
Arrived at the hotel in a great up beat mood until we walked into the room to find a horrible bathroom and the beds were like sleeping on the floor... probably comfier on the floor. we asked for another room and got told to wait to days for a new room. the new room was much better but still wasn't amazing. I can't rate the food of the hotel because we never ate at the restaurant on site.
I can't believe the negative remarks on here. We have just come back from a 2 week stay and all was very good. It also included having our wedding here...total of 49 guests. Our room was cleaned and fresh every day. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us. Our air con broke one night. Told reception which was late, he came to check and within 5 mins he turned up with a fan. Air con fixed next day. We would definitely go back. Thank you Nitsa. . General Manager of resort. Now my friend on Facebook and email regularly.
Arriving here one would think that it was a beautiful place to stay. The outside area was lovely. I stayed here with contiki and the feedback from everyone in the group was pretty bad. The staff at the restaurant pretty much ignored us for about 15mins before even giving us menus then it took another 15 too order. There only appeared to be one guy serving even though 90 people had just arrived on the contiki. I was in a shared room with another girl and the aircon wasn't working so she asked too move rooms and the lady at reception told her to sleep on the floor of a friends room with a towel. After complaining about 10 times we finally got moved to another room that actually had aircon for the last night. Wifi is useless only works in reception and the planes are constantly flying over the hotel thought they'd land on the pool.
We are giving this hotel a 4 because of the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They booked a neighbouring hotel suite when our room became unavailable and included a free meal package for lunch and dinner because of the small walk and inconvenience. The hotel is located on the black beach and the swimming pool is excellent. Note, it is also located next to the airport, therefore airplanes noise is present, but we became accustomed and it did not bother us.
I visited this hotel as part of a tour group and it was the worst hotel I have stayed in to date. Upon arrival our hotel room was not cleaned, and smelt like stale cigarettes. After it was supposedly cleaned we found hair in the bathroom sink, a dirty toilet and shower, stains on the floor, stained and unchanged linen in two of the three beds provided to us. Some of the other members of our tour group also had blood stained linen, and dirty rooms. I also ate at the restaurant here and had the seafood pasta and it was horrendous, the pasta was dry and tough, the prawns were overcooked, chewy and came whole (buried in the pasta), the whole meal itself was overpriced for a very below average meal. The so called 'good' reviews on here are from staff working at the hotel as the lady at the reception desk is the daughter of the owner, and was not interested in helping us with our problem, in fact she was exceptionally rude and arrogant. Do yourselves a favour and stay somewhere else as this hotel is not worth it, and almost ruined my time in Santorini. I will definitely never stay here again
I am currently staying at this resort as part of a tour, it is one of the worst places I have stayed at to date. The rooms are dirty, mouldy, dated, very old and need some TLC. We had ask to be moved from our first room as the aircon didnt work and was full of mould and stunk. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. The wifi is only in the reception and not very good, especially when a few people are sitting on it. There is no aircon in the main reception. Breakfast is revolting, I suggest going up the black beach 5mins to all the cafes/mini marts. Majority of the staff are rude especially one of the dark haired gentleman behind the reception desk. This place needs a freshen up and good clean. Our bed sheets have not been changed in our 4 day change, the towels they provide are dirty with stains, the showers are terrible, ours the pressure is so low and we can only have cold showers, we dont have a shower head holder so you have to hold it with one hand then turn it off to wash hair and then back on to rinse out so its freezing. Dont waste your money here, go a few blocks over to the private villas. The only good things about this place is the pool and the lunch meals by the pool. Also the airplanes are down so low as the landing strip is right behind the resort, it looks cool seeing the planes underneath but annoying at the crack of dawn/night when you want to sleep its soooo loud.
This place is kind of hard to rate, it's nice, but there are some little things that should be addressed. On arrival, our room door was open airing out the room I assume as it's really musty smelling, this filled our room with mosquitos, I woke to a pile of bug bites on my hands and face, also the walls seem to be paper thin, and being close to the airport makes it hard to sleep in. The pool is very nice though, and the food was good at the little restaurant, but I'd suggest strolling down the Kamari beach front, tons of choices!! Good place, just not great!!
Stayed here with my family hotel staff were really friendly and helpful but rooms were dated and no room to hang clothes really bad musty smell, stained bed sheets and towels needs to buy all new bedding and towels
My first impression of this place after I entered my room was that it deserves only a 1 rating. The beds and the sheets etc are so bad. Even the bathroom was really bad quality. Then came the breakfast spread which was again very poor. But following reasons I have given it a 4 rating. The view for the breakfast is awesome. The swimming pool is also amazing. One of the best I have seen in the entire island. The staff are extremely friendly. They are ready to assist anytime. Also when I requested for a extended checkout due to my flight leaving only midnight I was given an option to shift to a different room free of cost. Really amazing service.
