Our stay at Paradise Resort was very enjoyable. The owner and the staff are very polite and generous. The hotel has many buildings around the pool, in a very open, quiet and peaceful environment. Pool is a big enough if you want to avoid going to the crowded beaches. The room was very clean, comfortable with balcony overlooking the pool. The Breakfast was great with good coffees and juices. It is located on a very quiet part of the island (the south side). Overall it is a very good option in order to enjoy an island like Santorini. Thanks Paradise team!
I stayed for eight nights in this delightful family-owned and run hotel. It was peaceful, very clean and the perfect base for me to visit the rest of the island's busier parts. There is a good local bus service, though I had hired a car. The pool area was surrounded by Bougainville, orleander and pomegranate bushes. The famous BpRed Beach is not far, as is the site of ancient Akrotiri - a must see for those seeking the lost cities of Atlantis! George was an untiring manager - always ready to answer any questions or requests. Caterina was delightful and friendly. I would definitely go there again
As most people nowadays, we checked out Paradise Resort on Trip Advisor having received one of Secret Escapes enticing newsletters. Reviews were mostly great but there were one or two not so great reviews which caught our eye. None of their comments have been issues for us and we have absolutely loved our time here. Having used Secret Escapes before and entrusting their ethos and brand, we booked. Later today, we leave Paradise Resort and head for the airport to go home to Cornwall, having thoroughly enjoyed our week on Santorini and with Mr Lucas, Katarina & George at their beautiful hotel. Paradise Resort is a family run business which offers a high standard of hotel and hospitality. The rooms are light, spacious, air conditioned, well equipped and are refreshed daily. The shower is good and the beds are comfortable. The service is professional, personable, friendly and very helpful. Akrotiri (in the south) is one of the smaller villages and is much quieter than the main tourist towns of Thira and Oia (which are probably the images you will have seen of Santorini). Because Santorini is a stop on the cruise ship route, Thira and Oia become flooded with tourists so 'coming home' to Paradise Resort offers you the opportunity to 'get away from it all' and truly relax, whilst still enjoying the beauty of Santorini. The island is small so nowhere is really very far away. A moped or quad bike is a great way to get off the beaten track (€35-45 for 24hrs) and is well worth it if you like to do your own thing (be sure to find out where your nearest fuel station is as there isn't one north of Thira) but buses are regular and easy to navigate with most fares being just €1.80/€2 euros each. Conveniently, there is a bus stop just one minute away from this hotel and buses seem to run to time. As with any hotel/holiday you can make it what you want. We highly recommend Paradise Resort from our experience and hope to return soon. As self employed business people who work around the clock at home, we couldn't have imagined that we could relax and unwind quite so much in just a week but thanks to our hosts, they provide a space and service that allows you to do just that. You will have everything you need when you come to Paradise Resort, including a beautiful pool area where you can take some time out and sunbathe. Food and drink is available all day long and is plentiful! Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at the Paradise hotel, Akrtiri, Santorini. It was the most relaxing holiday, the perfect break to get away from it all. The hotel was beautiful and clean the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels, bed made every morning and general service. Don't compare with Spain/Canary Islands, this is typical Greek Island and should be kept this way. Everyone friendly and helpful but chaos in Fira especially local bus station.
Beutiful, simple, Greek Hotel. Spotless, welcoming accommodation, punching well above its weight. Yes, rooms are typically sparse, but cleaned daily and more than adequate. Pool area is delightful, superb soft cushioned sun beds, and plenty of shaded areas for the odd escape from that Aegean sun. Would I recommend, definitely!
We stayed at the Paradise Resort from 17/9/16 to 24/9/16 having booked a standard double room for the week. Our flight was delayed resulting in us arriving late at the hotel. Booking in was quick, easy and with no problems. It seems the hotel was family owned until recently, being taken over by Great Western, but is still being run by the previous owners. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful at all times but particularly when any small problems arose. The hotel is in the centre of Akrotiri, a small quiet village in the south of the island, as peaceful as you can get apart from the quad bikes which are probably impossible to get away from. It wasn’t difficult to get to the rest of the island by bus which were frequent enough to satisfy our needs. There are probably a dozen restaurants within walking distance, all of a good standard as far as we could tell. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well laid out with a large pool, big enough to have a decent swim in and enough greenery to relax in. The rooms were just as clean. Ours was a standard double, it had all the basics we needed and no more, which is also what we wanted. Breakfast was the same, basic but all that you needed and plenty of it, fruit, bread, cake, yoghurt, pancakes, ham, cheese, juice, coffee etc. If you like living in the lap of luxury with all the finery, pointless extras, and pampering that five star, entails, spa, zen, yoga, infinity pool gazing, that money can buy, give this hotel a miss. If, on the other hand, you prefer the simple, clean, friendly, hospitable and peaceful experience which is what Greece was once all about, and why people went there, then choose the Paradise Resort, relax and enjoy yourself.
The perfect place to spend your holidays! George is very kind. He help us to rent a scooter and he gave us all the necessary information regard the Island. The Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room amazing! The Swimming pool just perfect and the rooms very clean. A nice place that we will visit again!
Had forgotten how basic accommodation was in Greece but we were well impressed with this lovely hotel. Room was clean and spacious (only downfall was lack of storage/wardrobe). The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was basic but more than sufficient. Akrotiri itself was a bit quiet but the local bus service is very efficient and the bus stop close by. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.
The best description for the rooms is basic. Very small bath and shower. Coarse towels (bath-size only). Beadspreads show dirt. Room is clean, grounds nice. Included breakfast is basic European although you can order omelettes etc. off a menu. Marble cake, Greek pancakes, canned fruit, yogurt, cereal (no milk) croissants, deli meat and cheese, tomatoes. Located on a very busy corner although quiet enough at night. Sunday morning the church across the street plays bells at 7:00 AM. Loudly!
Very traditional basic room with a lovely balcony - fridge and air conditioning worked well, shower with lots of hot water and once we managed to work out how not to flood the bathroom absolutely fine.....the staff were lovely, really helpful and loved the authenticity of the area. For us....great value for money and would definitely return
