We were generously upgraded upon arrival and had a suite with ample room and a spa on the balcony. Watching the sunset from the balcony, pool or spa at Nomikos is truly breathtaking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every turn. Unsure how people claim it's hard to find... Google maps will walk you to the front door. Breakfast is customisable and delivered to your room or balcony. Location is great. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Only minor blemish was a slight aroma coming from the bathroom. May not be isolated to Nomikos though. Not anything to be concerned with.
My husband and I stayed at Nomikos Villas for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The view was incredible and the location is perfect. There were plenty of restaurants and shops close by, it's close to the port and a short bus ride from Oia (which is packed with tourists). Each morning we had breakfast with an unbeatable view and the pool was perfect to cool off during the hot days. Aside from the incredible views, the part that really made our stay incredible was the people. Iakovos, the man at reception/bar, was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations, information and on top of all that he made delicious drinks! Every night we enjoyed talking to him about the island. He really made it feel like home for us. Gigas, another employee at Nomikos, was so helpful and kind and we loved getting to know him. It was a great vibe and we would visit again in a heartbeat!!
I had a look at some of the negative reviews before writing this one. People are moaning about how its tricky it was to find etc. Your damn right its hard to find, its a town perched on the cliff face of an exploded volcano 800 ft up thats taken a thousand years to become what it is today. Its like no where ive ever been before and thats why people go there. We stumbled around, we found the hotel, the staff were awesome, and cool and chilled. We got room number 1. Sure... it was marginally dated, but what harm. I wasnt there to watch TV indoors. I was there for the view and the balcony and neither disappointed. Each morning at our requested ttime we had a little knock on the door. That was our sign to pop outside where our breakfast had been delivered and set up, ready to go on the most spectacular viewed balcony i have been on. Sometimes greeted by 3 or 4 cruise ships. It was the absolute business. As for the usual stuff, shower was grand, we had a little kitchenette which was very handy. The chilled out guy working the evening shift was really nice and helpful. A short walk to shops, newsagents and a tasty little sushi place and kebab place. 10 minute walk to the main square.
The hotel is a bit hard to find ...as are most in Santorini. It was also tough getting our luggage there! Space was tight, again, I think that is usually on this island. Breakfast was served on our balcony every morning. It was simple but plentiful and nice. The staff was nice and helpful. The pool is small but perfect for hot afternoons. Nothing can beat the views from all over the hotel. The location was quiet, but it was close enough to walk to all the action if Fira if you wanted.
We arrived at Nomikos and were so happy. The view is breathtaking and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Breakfast was beautiful and served on our private balcony and is something that we will remember forever! Close to restaurants and shops it was an amazing experience- I only wish we could have stayed longer!!!
This hotel has the very best views, breakfast in its very own private balcony that comes with the room with breathtaking views is amazing. The hotel staff and in particular Giggr who seems to be always working very hard make your stay memorable. It's small hotel with a lovely pool and jacuzzi and as couples it's ideal treat. Please note access to theses hotels which are on the cliff sides/caves is usually by steps. If you have large suitcases you need to be fit or ask the hotel staff to assist you from the main road which is about 150 meters away. Giggr is there to help you and nothing is too much for him. Would recommend this hotel .
We had an amazing time staying at Nomikos Villas in Firo Stephanie. The hotel was perfectly located not far from the restaurants in Firo Stephanie but was still quiet and relaxing. It is walkable Firo if want to be in the middle of all the action. We loved the court yard pool with the breathtaking views of Santorini. Every morning we sat outside and had our complementary coffee, cake, and fruit to start the day. What I loved most about this hotel was the staff. Jacob, Giga, and Natalie are amazing. They always took care of us with a smile and would go out of there way if we needed anything. They made the stay better than I imagined.
This hotel is all about location. (Firostefani is near Fira on the caldera) Amazing views Friendly staff - special mention of Mr. Giga Neat and clean. Not a buffet breakfast but personally served which added a touch. Good and free wi fi Nice jacuzzis However, There is no kitchen. So breakfast is all cold except boiled egg and beverages. Very small rooms and bathrooms Pricey in high season Have to drag luggage from road on to a steep climb. Not easy if you arrive past midnight having taken 3 flights. Not enough staff. Must book your transfer well in advance in high season. Santorini has few cabs and when cruise ships dock, there is no cab at all. We nearly missed our Mykonos ferry as we had to wait 45 minutes for a cab.
My stay was absolutely perfect. From the kind, courteous, and professional staff, to the comfortable rooms. Great location, walking distance to all amenities, restaurant, supermarket, shops etc and absolutely stunning view. Iakovos Valvis answer my emails in a very short time was very helpful with my reservations and recommendations. If i ever come back to Santorini I will definitely repeat in this hotel.
What a magical place to stay, right in the heart of Fira where all the action is. Only a short walk into the main part where all the shops are and great restaurants only a few minutes away. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they even have their own catamaran which you can go on trips around the island. Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
