the Hotel is styled like a village with small double storey houses around two pools. Nice architecture, but somewhat impractical, as eg. there is no guest toilet for the pools or restaurant on the ground floor level... My mother and me first were checked into a very small room where there was not even space to put the second suitcase somewhere and where the safe and the water sink did not work. After our insistence we were able to change the room to a more spacious one (B7) which I only can recommend.. The service staff in the restaurant and at the pool as well as the cleaning staff were extremely nice and helpful. Thank you to Yannis, Konstantinos, Sofia, Karina, Thomas and Lida for making us comfortable and attending us as if we were queens.... Breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of different choices so that even although there was the same things on there every day, one had the choice to eat something different every day. Fruit selection also was excellent and very fresh so that one could feel that the figs were handpicked from the tree on the same morning... Prices in the restaurant are a little bit high, so that I did not eat there much although the food was tasty... But around the corner along the beach you get the same quality for less money... One more negative point: all the handrails along the stairs where shaky and -as made from metal - heated up in the sun, so that my mother (aged 86) had a hard time to grip them to get up the stairs Another fact is that the location just below the landing planes causes a lot of noise approx. 30 to 40 times a day. Some flights even land late at night and this might be negative for light sleepers.... All in all a very good recommendation although with minor draw backs
An amazing experience staying for a week at the hotel. From the reception staff, customer service team, Restaurant manager, bar staff and cleaners, our experience was first class from start to finish? The rooms are of a very high standard and the daily up keep very professional. The breakfast offered a wide variety of freshly cooked items, cold selection and fruit. The service round the pool was relaxed and friendly with great, freshly prepared cocktails made by Costa, using top ingredients and fruit to create very tasty drinks! Definitely worth trying. The restaurant manager and his team worked hard and were always friendly with the chance to sample locally caught lobsters for dinner one evening, a lovely edition. The Reception and customer service team were so friendly and knowledgable of the island. Definitely created a great first impression. Overall a wonderful time spent at this hotel and will definitely return.
Lovely hotel at one end of the main Kamari beach which meant it was not as busy. Friendly staff too which is always a bonus, always someone around to help. Room wise, we got upgraded but meant our bedroom was upstairs but with the toilet downstairs it made coming down the stairs through the night quite precarious as they were floating. The toilet also over flushed which meant water always leapt out and on the floor which wasn't very nice, not only slippery but who wants their toilet water on the floor. Would still recommend a visit though.
Stayed here with a friend 6 June for 7 nights The hotel is fab - it's got a laid back feel But very high service and standards Our room was an executive room with a pool view - room 2b. You can see all around The resort from here and mountain views to your right All the staff are lovely- especially Rosemary, Constantious. Rosemary Christina Carina Sophia and Athena Will definitely return Kamari itself has great restaurants. Bars and the beach on your doorstep It's easy to get around to visit different resorts such as Thira. Perissa and Oia For perissa you can take a water taxi from The beach by Hook bar which serves great food and drinks. The water taxi costs 5 euros each way. It's a really great way to get there Loved everything about this hotel
This must be one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff are super - friendly and smiley, the rooms are pleasant and understated and the pool area is scenic and quiet. However what really sets it apart is the breakfast buffet. There is so much choice and quality - when a breakfast buffet offers two types of pancakes you know things are good! Ron Swanson would love this place :-)
Where to begin. First of all, Konstantinos the guest relations guy is beyond words. He really is one of the nicest people we've ever met, and he made our stay the best! The other staff of the hotel is also so so nice and sweet. You feel really welcome and relaxed by the people working here. They all give you nice smiles and greetings, and offer you help if you need it. The bartender at the hotel, Kostas, makes the most yummy mojitos. Recommend the mango mojito warmly!! The hotel is placed just a short short walk from the beach (aprox 1 min walking). And offers free sunbeds on the beach. The hotel also offers several beautiful pools to cool down in. And has an amazing roof top where you also can enjoy the sun and wine tasting in the evening. Rooms are cosy and with just the right amount of space. We had to start our stay by sleeping two nights at another hotel because of overbooking (at the other hotel we got a huge room with private jacuzzi). But when we got to La Mer, this was compensated with complimentary massage for both of us (which was SO GOOD!), and we also got our room upgraded to executive room on the second floor with a balcony. We even got complimentary white wine TWO times, along with beautiful flowers in our room. The maid who did our room made beautiful creations with the towels every day. I can't be more happy with this stay. The La Mer hotel, the staff there and Kamari Town is a very good place to be in Santorini! We will hopefully be back again soon.
We loved our stay at La Mer, it was simply perfect for our honeymoon! The hard-working and very friendly staff (including but not limited to: Costa, Konstantinos, Sofia, Thomas, the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk and the restaurant manager) is what made our trip so enjoyable. The cleaning staff were equally lovely and did an amazing job; the hotel is spotless! This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we were chuffed to be there! It was a great way to get a bit of Greek culture and still enjoy the luxury of a 5 star hotel. The location is excellent for Kamari beach where there are plenty of restaurants and some shopping. It's a small island so everywhere is accessible by car or bus. Personally we were glad to be sleeping away from the big touristy areas of Fira and Oia. A big thank you to everyone at La Mer for their part in making our honeymoon so wonderful and unforgettable!
A beautiful hotel for those who love to stay in a peaceful environment. The rooms might lack a little storage space, but were spotlessly clean and beds extremely comfy. The staff could not be faulted, always smiling, polite and extremely helpful. Costa who ran the bar made fantastic cocktails and was always eager to make you welcome with the lovely Katrina who never stopped smiling . The food was brilliant and not too expensive and always well presented by Thomas and Kosta under the watchful eyes of the restaurant manager who could not do enough for you. Rosemary welcomed us at the start of our stay and always ensured our needs were being met. I'm sorry I can't mention every member of staff as they all were excellent.
Good hotel and excellent service at La Mer deluxe Hotel in Kamari . The hotel has Nice surrandings and is located close to the Beach. Enjoy the stay and relax in the garden pool, or at the sunroof. Jamas.
Great hotel! Very clean with all the amenities and superb service. Quietly tacked away from the Main Street yet with a 5min walk to the Kamari beach and all it's offering of beach and restaurants. Great bar and restaurant in the hotel as well.
