If you’re looking to book somewhere in Santorini then look no further. We stayed here end of May to the beginning of June for a holiday/family wedding, and as an overall hotel experience it was the perfect location and pure luxury. The breakfast itself could have sold it for us alone (you will not find a better one I can assure you). But everything from the attentive staff, the little touches they bring to your experience, the decor, the location (you’re only a 2min walk to the beach and amazing bars and restaurants), the rooms, and absolutely everything was of the highest standard. Special mention to the staff who had that unique balance of being personable, helpful, and attentive but not overbearing or intrusive - which is very rare now in customer service. They were fantastic. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would!

The hotel is located just a breath away from the beach! The staff is amazing, always being there making sure everything is fine! Also, the breakfast was really good with many selections and good quality of products. We ate at the restaurant once and the food was really nice! Also the area of Kamari is full of restaurants and activities to do! Will surely come back!

Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive and did all they could to ensure an enjoyable stay. The food was of a very high standard, fantastic breakfast buffet and the meals we ate in the restaurant were first class.

A truly stunning hotel, beautifully presented, spotless, the staff went above and beyond, rooms had everything you needed, even down to the bathrobe and slippers, mini bar, towels changed daily, 3 pools small but adequate plus a pool in the spa area. The spa was very good too. Breakfast was awsome plenty of everything, the chef makes the perfect scrambled eggs with a glass of champagne every morning just perfect. Evening food in the restaurant of an evening very nice not cheap. Walk to the beach 2 minutes, black sand, plenty of tavernas. Take s trip on a boat that was good. Mostly stayed in hotel with a good book and a drink. A very quiet hotel true to form adults only, stayed 1 week end of may 2018 weather 26dgs , northern wind is a bit cold. No mosquitos which was amazing , a perfect hotel , one I would recommend and return to.

My wife and I arrived here on the 22nd May for a weeks holiday encompassing our wedding anniversary. What a fantastic hotel. It is immaculate, and very very welcoming. From the moment we arrived right up to the minute we left, we were so well looked after by all the staff at this establishment. The room itself is a good size, with a great bathroom and superb shower, a king size bed, decent size fitted wardrobe and a balcony overlooking one of the pools. The room comes with free Wi-Fi, free air con as well as a free safe. As part of your welcome package, there is a bottle of good local wins, and a large bottle of water, supplied to you free. Breakfast is amazing, and caters for all tastes, including gluten free. The chef on the omelettes, who cooks to order, is one of the busiest and most polite people I have ever encountered. Nothing seems to faze this man. Working hard to please you, and always with a big cheery smile. You can eat breakfast inside, or outside by another pool, in an immaculate landscaped area. The local coffee served is incredible. The hotel also has a restaurant, and we ate here on our last night, and wished we had eaten there earlier in our holiday. If you like seafood, I highly recommend the salmon risotto, or the seafood risotto. We had an orange salad for starter. Amazing taste. The staff on the travel desk found out by chance that the Saturday was our wedding anniversary, and dressed our room for us when we returned from a sunset cruise. We opened the door, and the floor was covered in rose petals, there were three ornamental vases with t light candles burning safely within, our bed had a huge red and white rose petal heart dressed on it, Denise received a large bouquet of mixed flowers and roses, and they even left a bottle of champagne on ice along with bowls of strawberries and cherries for us. It touched us both immensely, and made the romance of that day even more special. All free of charge. Fantastic gesture from them. The maître d'hôtel is a gentleman called Yiannis, and his knowledge is terrific. Nothing is too much trouble for him, or his restaurant staff, and as with the rest of the staff here, true professionals. There is a small bar in the hotel as well, situated between both main pools. The beach is a mere 50 meters away, and as a guest at the hotel, you get free use of the sunbeds here. We both had a brilliant holiday here, and what made it for us, was not only the hotel, but without a doubt, all of the staff, from the cleaners to the management. Fantastic fantastic people. From Denise and I, thank you all for the happy times, and the memories you have given us. It was our pleasure to stay here, and to meet you all. Thank you.

Spent a week at the hotel. Service was excellent, from front desk through to restaurant and bar staff and maids. Everyone seemed to be happy working at the hotel and it was infectious. Thank you for making it a special stay. Hotel is quiet and rooms are well sound proofed. We used the restaurant one evening (as well as lunchtimes) and the food was extremely good.

Stayed for a week as a couple, rooms are lovely we had a balcony overlooking the pool. Location is ideal with a short two minute walk until you are at the beach near all the shops and restaurants. The staff really do make this hotel always smiling and extremely attentive. Breakfast is very good with fresh eggs, omelettes and pancakes which can be made to order! We went through the hotel to book a coach transfer to Oia for the sunset which was €15pp which I highly recommend a cab one way would be approx €35. Hopefully I’ll be returning here in the future!

I cannot say enough about how the staff were amazingly attentive. It is evident that they are guided by the careful and guiding leadership of the Maître de. Staff at reception were equally attentive. Being a short walk to Kamari beach, the location is great also. The facility itself is clean, modern and well appointed with three pools and ample sun beds to not need to scramble for them. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Wifi service is good It is fairly close to the airport, so you will get to see landing planes fly close by. That being said, everything else more than compensates for that. Transfers from and to the airport were not included in our deal, but the staff readily arranged that before we got there and make us feel assured. A short 5 mins walk to the centre. Great access to bakeries, local tavernas and buses to Thira.

We recently stayed at La Mer and can honestly say the hotel is fantastic.. the staff couldn’t have been more helpful & the breakfasts were great. So why ony 3 stars ? Having upgraded to a jacuzzi suite we were unable to use the the jacuzzi because it was not heated and therefore just not warm enough despite the hotels efforts. This might be better peak season but I seriously doubt it. The hotel is directly under the flight path of nearby Santorini airport which could be annoying at times....early/late in the day. Having toured the island we decided that the reason people go to Santorini is for a Caldera view & in hindsight we wished we had stayed in Oia or Thira area. So in summary it’s all about location location location !!!

Just come back from a week in Santorini, 4 days Kamari and 3 in Fira, both very different but enjoyable places. Kamari at this time of year was just opening up after it seems closing after winter so only 2/3 of the restaurants were open but we could see them busy painting and dusting off the chairs and should in the next few weeks be ready. There is a village square we found on the last night with a bit more there. We didn't realise how close to the airport Kamari is literally at the end of the runway so planes fly right over the resort quite low but it wasn't an issue. La Mer is a Great small hotel just off the main promenade so away from the noise and slight winds. Short taxi ride to the airport and seconds walk to the front. Lovely spacious clean reception, usually a man sat at a desk offering trips. efficient English speaking staff mostly, depends who is on reception. Bags left there and they deliver to your room. We only ate breakfast here but it was very good with everything available, fresh omelettes, hot and cold food, smoked salmon and fizz, waiters were very efficient offering drink and making sure everything was okay. The manager was seen constantly checking over staff and efficiency. They were always polite and smiley. Must be the only hotel I can honestly say they genuinely seemed happy at work. Alexander was most helpful booking a restaurant for us that he recommended and taxis. Always with a smile. The hotel felt boutique and very personal. Our room was just off the pool area and cute, bathroom had a jacuzzi bath, we had a stocked fridge and welcome bottle of wine. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard whilst we were eating breakfast. Air con abs sound proofed windows. The pool was lovely and had a small car. The staff offered us free water whilst we sat out. we sampled the gym and beauty rooms downstairs which looked brand new and high end. The massage was excellent. Small indoor pool and sauna. Cannot fault the hotel in anyway. Recommend the walks we climbed the hill to Ancient Thira a few times. We walked towards the airport on the beach and found a small winery Ghia doing wine tasting for €8 each. Kamari was quite quiet on a night but it was cold some evenings and early season. I think in high season it would be busier. Buses around are cheap. Taxis not so much.
