We had a fantastic 4 night stay at this hotel for the start of our honeymoon in July. Our room had a lovely poolside view and was very clean and spacious. Also loved the Korres products in the bathroom. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the beach with the many bars and restaurants so a great location in Kamari. The buffet breakfast is just fantastic! There was so much choice, sweet breakfast, savoury breakfast, fizz! There was also a chef there to cook scrambled eggs, omelettes etc fresh for you. Every member of staff we met was warm and friendly. They could not do enough for you. 5 stars for all of the staff! The only negative i have is we made an enquiry after our stay regarding some lost property and no one replied to our email so was disappointed to not receive a reply. But other than this, we still give the hotel 5 stars as we had an amazing start to our honeymoon at the hotel.
I cannot criticise on but if this hotel. Everything is perfect. Breakfast is buffet with fresh eggs cooked to your liking. The staff are so helpful one day not a spare bed round the pool 'no problem' they saw us looking and voila brought two out. The massage I had was so relaxing and the spa is beautiful. Wish we were here longer x
My partner and I loved this hotel. We were upgraded (without a mention from reception) to a room with a private outdoor jacuzzi and a complementary bottle of wine which was great. The staff were so friendly and go the extra mile (for instance, we were brought a free fresh fruit plate one hot afternoon). The breakfasts are lovely and served under the canopy outside with champagne on ice and a chef ready to make eggs and pancakes how you like them. Yes, it is a way on the bus to Fira and Oia (and that bus journey is more than unpleasant) but I am so glad we stayed here instead of anywhere else.
We were a family of 4; me, my wife and out 2 daughters of 20 and 24 years, wanting a one week relaxing vacation with sun and some warm weather. This time we wanted to visit a Greek island with an airport. This to avoid any extra transportation by ferry for just this one week. So Santorini was the island we went for since there were direct flights out of Stavanger where we live. When it comes to hotel selection, we wanted a quiet hotel with a standard above average and walking distance to the beach. “La Mer” was our choice, with 16 years limit. We did not regret this selection one second! We were met by a very friendly staff, showing us to our 2 rooms, and explaining the surroundings of the hotel. And was this relaxing? Oh yes, indeed. The only noise (read sound) was the was the water by the pool, and the light music from the bar area. A little lie there: The hotel was located about 2 km from the Santorini Airport. The approach to the north was not far from the hotel, - and the airplanes is not silent………. We counted 10-15 approaches each day, and the noise lasted for about 30 seconds for each approach. I can live with that…………….. The breakfast was included in the hotel fee, and contained a good variety of selections, even gluten free bread, - on request. To make it short and sweet: We will come back here to charge up our batteries. Thanks to “La Mer” personnel for making our week perfect!
After searching for a few weeks to find the perfect place for part of my birthday trip to Greece, I found this Santorini resort and booked it based on the reviews. We definitely were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff greeted us and made sure we felt at home. The daily breakfast buffet was amazing! So many options and so filling. They even had an omelette and crepe station. The hotel has 3 small pools, just make sure to get there early to reserve a lounge chair in a prime spot. If you can't find one, usually you can ask a staff person to bring out another one for you. The room was comfortable and a nice size. The wi-fi worked very well compared to most places around the island. The hotel is located just a 3-4 minute walk from Kamari Beach which has tons of food options and charming shops. Most places stay open late, past midnight, so you don't have to worry about not finding a late dinner or snack when you get back from other parts of the island. Speaking of, there are 2 bus stops less than a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The bus is easy to use and will take you all around the island to places like Oia, Imerovigli, and Fira to catch the amazing Santorini sunsets for under $10 roundtrip. My husband and I had a wonderful time at La Mer and will be recommending it to others.
What a fabulous hotel - we came back five days ago after a wonderful 10 day stay - every single member of staff collectively made our stay memorable - Super cocktails and service from Irene on the bar ably assisted by Mad Mary and the lovely Karina - great breakfast and dinner service by the friendliest of faces - receptionists and Constantinos who were only too happy to help and make arrangements for us - a great team of enthusiastic and professional people! Breakfast was sheer delight with the fabulous choices of food, topped off with eggs cooked any which way to your liking!! The whole hotel was well maintained and had the most wonderful facilities - rooftop sun terrace and evening restaurant - both swimming pools always inviting and sunbeds kept immaculate with fresh towels every day. Our room was well appointed and was serviced to the highest standard daily - this is a must go back to resort!!
Just back from a week at La Mer to celebrate my sisters wedding. Arrived in the early hours but check in was swift and shown to our room which was clean, pleasant with excellent and efficient air-con. The Jacuzzi bath could do with a little improvement but I am being extremely picky. Breakfast was very good, wide continental selection together with an 'egg station' for omelettes, fried or scrambled eggs. The three pools are small but there always seemed ample space for everyone. Some preferred the roof terrace Service was extremely friendly, Rosemary, Daniel and the eccentric Mary all excelled. Overall highly recommended for a peaceful, relaxing base with the bars and taverna's of Kamari a few metres away. Happy to answer any questions from prospective guests
Had a wonderful week's holiday here recently. Location couldn't be better - it's a 2-minute walk to the beach, where there are restaurants and bars in abundance. Guests at La Mer get free use of the sunbeds on the beach owned by one of the nearby restaurants. If you want to spend the day sitting by one of the hotel pools, there are plenty of sunbeds available, and the bar staff would come round to give guests complimentary plates of fresh melon, and glasses of water. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, and there's also a chef who makes omelettes and pancakes etc to order. All staff were excellent - the waiting staff at breakfast, the bar staff, and the receptionists were all exceptionally friendly and cheery, and always happy to help. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed at this hotel - 4 couples. Cannot thank the staff enough for their excellent service. Celebrating 2 big birthdays the hotel staff provided 2 complimentary cakes. Hotel is beautifully kept, small boutiquey type hotel, with lovely pools. Plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast was included and plentiful, again the staff always willing to help and serve. Rooms - little small for the standard rooms but well maintained, our bathroom needed a little renovating but nothing too major. Location was perfect - 2 mins from the Kamari black sands beach with numerous bars and restaurants. There is a section on the beach that is reserved for guests of this hotel and also provide towels, no need to bring your own. Be wary taxis are not plentiful so plan in advance if you are exploring other parts of the island. We were stranded in Fira after a night out - at 4am we were told that a taxi would take 45mins to arrive at the taxi rank. I called the hotel and within 20 mins a taxi arrived for 8 people to take us back to the hotel. Special thanks to Konstantine and Rosemary (guest services) they were both amazing from start to finish. Email any requests and they will be sure to help.
La Mer Deluxe is a beautiful upscale hotel resort in the centre of Kamari. Hotel rooms are a bit small, but nicely equipped and very clean. Nice pool area, very quiet and pleasant. Hotel also offers an sub-terrean spa, but we didn't use it. Took B&B and breakfast was delicious.
