Kallisto Hotel

It's a beautiful hotel, we stayed here 3 nights, a group of ten. All rooms were beautifully designed to keep us warm, much like the traditional cave-like houses of Santorini. Except room no 7 which is way too small to make a cottage out of that space. We had a great time, all thanks to Petros who helped us plan our time there. I feel they could do better with the breakfast though, it was ham and cheese sandwiches only, everyday. But the hotel is beautiful, and Petros just makes it better! Must stay here!

If you want a room with a spectacular view, this is your hotel. Believe me, it is a site you will never forget. Luckily we were upgraded to a suite, so our room was big and spacious. The staff was excellent; they picked us up at the airport (30 euro); took us on a day tour of the island (200 euros); picked us up in town, and then took us back to the airport. The hotel is not close to restaurants but it is only a short 20-minute walk into the main town. Breakfast is served daily in your room or balcony, but it is only toast, coffee, juice, and hard boiled eggs. If you go, take some good walking shoes because it is a lot of hills.

Our experience staying at the hotel kallisto was excellent , for the mind blowing view of the Caldera and for the excellent service the staff gave us. The design of the rooms is based on traditional santorini houses. The rooms are very well maintained . A special mention to 'PETROS' who helped us with everything from arranging sightseeing tours to getting a good deal on the Yatching package.

The general manager Kyriakos [--] was supposed to organised the guided tour with the bus for a group of 17 of us. When we arrived yesterday he only organised a 20 seater bus for us without a guide. Kyriakos lied about the bus cost and demanded me to pay in cash instead of credit card for the amount of Euro 1000. He gave me an unofficial receipt for the Euro 1000. When asked why he noted that this cash collection was upon the request of the owner. I am so disappointed with Kyriakos Diakatos and this hotel for employing such a dishonest general manager.

I have visited and stayed at many luxury hotels around the world and this property was far, far from luxury. The property was booked by our tour company. It almost had a condo rather than hotel quality to it (here's your keys - you're on your own). If you are expecting a hotel with a concierge and nice ammenities, this isn't it. It no doubt has a million dollar view that's heaven on Earth but that's where the luxury ends. The rooms are not comfortable, poorly decorated (gaudy) and are filthy, dusty and have a weird smell. Don't open your windows or you may have a stray cat or two in your room. The bathtub in our room had black mold growing all around the tub area. You got one rough towel per person (and a smaller hand towel) each day that you used to soak up water that poured all over the floor in the bathroom when taking a shower. Our friends who were staying in another room didn't even have hot water and had to take freezing cold showers every day. Don't expect basic items such as vanity kits, toothbrushes or even kleenex that you have in moderate hotels. They do provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shower gel, bathrobes, slippers and a hair dryer. No bottled water provided to guests. Wifi is spotty (and the passcode is indeed the hotel's phone number). There are two beds in the room but one is a pull out couch bed with a creaky mattress. Beds were super uncomfortable. Breakfast was provided but it's not great...a hard boiled egg, coffee (maybe - some days you got tea instead - surprise!), toast, and toasted ham and cheese sandwiches that look like my 8 year old made them. Restaurants near the hotel (and there weren't many), were closed for the season. Had to walk down to Fira for shopping and restaurants and then get a taxi back because it's uphill all the way back to the hotel (just ask the restaurant you eat at to get you a taxi or walk to the taxi stand in Fira - about 10-15 euros). Besides the incredible view, the other bright spot was the staff, which is the reason I gave it a two star rating versus a one. The manager in particular tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible and he even took us to Oia, gave us a tour and history of the area and even picked us up later as well. He even let us store our bags in reception while we went to Oia since we were flying out that evening. He was really helpful and very courteous. When I return to Santorini one day, I plan to stay in Oia.

Run by Kyriakos and ably assisted by Lefteris, this funky little Hotel has the best view on Earth and is a pleasure to stay in. Quieter and more human than certain other nearby resorts Imerovigli was perfect for us :)

This says it all. We only spent 1 hr in the hotel. The hygine was horrible, dirty sheets, bad smell, nasty bathrooms with mold everywhere. We left as soon as we could and moved to another hotel. Do not. I am telling you Do not book this hotel

Our experience of Kallisto Hotel was amazing, brought about not only the stunning views, the elegant and sophisticated interiors, but also the very friendly and eager to assist staff! The personnel make this place even better as you will feel like your every wish is their command, and the concierge will even advise you about what to do and see in Santorini!

The views from the terraces are simply to die for. But since this is an attribute to Santorini in general what sets Hotel Kallisto apart from other hotels is the truly professional attitude of the staff, the level of services they offer that will further enhance your experience outside the hotel. Stunning suites inside and out, and the friendly staff give your stay a personal, yet discreet touch.

The name means beautiful in Greek as the staff explained to us, and it fits this hotel totally. I was positively surprised at the beauty of the rooms and the stunning location. My suite was perfect, clean, and stylish and opened up to the main pool which was a refreshing sight day in, day out. If you stay here, do not miss the breakfast as it is included in the price and it is so generous and delicious it will keep you going until evening. Simply wonderful!
