Casa Florina is a small boutique hotel consisting of 7 rooms. The views of the sunset over the caldera from this hotel are outstanding and exactly the same as hotels that cost much more than ours right next to us! The staff of Casa Florina were absolutely phenomenal!! The breakfasts are delicious. Yanna works so hard, the room was cleaned perfectly every day and we cant thank her enough she is the kindest lady I have ever met always happy and nothing was ever too much.We were sad to leave eventually, and are very grateful for the service Panos and Yanna provided. They made us feel like family while we stayed there and would absolutely recommend Casa Florina to anyone heading to Santorini. Hopefully we will make it back one day!
Wow we were sad to leave last Tuesday and I am still sad now (Sunday!) This is not 5 star facilities but it is 5 star in every other way - service, standards, Yana and Panos are amazing and the views are totally awe inspiring The rooms are cosy and we were very happy with ours - there are some very expensive places to stay - they look beautiful and I'm sure they are - but the view is the same and the price is affordable - in fact I would say we had the best view in the area. The deck is beautiful to sit and while away the hours - the weather was beautiful. Casa florina is situated perfectly - on arrival Panos will meet you in the square and you are in a great spot for some fabulous restaurants - Avocado is a must and a huge treat is La Maison Shop around in the supermarkets in the village - the same items vary massively in price You can sit on the deck and drink wine or on your balcony for a take away! Yes really all the restaurants do these and we tried Posidonia - lovely evening watching the sunset and eating tomato fritters that Yana kindly ordered for us! Please not Yana will book you anything you need - outdoor cinema , restaurants etc There is parking for am ATV in the square just outside Breakfast on your balcony is perfect. The very best Greek yogurt and a lovely light fluffy omelette was my favourite with fresh bread every day The sunsets are perfect there .... don't worry about Oia - Florina has the very best view We loved it so much there and met some lovely people too from the US, Australia and also Stoke and Havant!!! Thank you Yana and panos for your amazing hospitality - we miss you and Casa Florina
We stayed at Casa Florina, Imerovigli last week 5th-12th September. This is a fantastic 7 room hotel, small but very personal and friendly. The hosts, Yanna and Panos do everything in their power to make sure that your holiday is just perfect! They are very giving of their time and knowledge to ensure that you have the best time! The rooms are boutique style and very relaxing. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels replaced, Towels were also available for the plunge pool, which was a godsend in the hot weather. Breakfasts were great, plently of choice and as much as you wanted - again nothing too much trouble! You can have your breakfast where you prefer, on the main decked balcony or at your rooms balcony/terrace. The choice is yours! The hotel sits right at the top of the Cliff over the Caldera so there are stunning views all day and night long. Close by there is a bus stop so you can explore the Island, also supermarkets and tavernas. This was our 3rd trip to Santorini and although we explored every alley in Oia and Fira previously, we had never seen the rest of the Island. So this time we hired a car which was reasonably priced and was definately worth it for the air conditioning!!. We chose this hotel after reading Trip Advisor reviews and can't recommend it enough. If we were to return to Santorini, we would also return to Casa Florina!
This is our last day at Casa Florina, an amazing small but very friendly hotel perched on the top of Imerovigli overlooking the Caldera. The rooms are boutique style, the views are amazing, the breakfasts are varied and plentiful and he hosts Yanna and Panos are wonderful!! They cater for all your needs and are very happy doing so. They made our time here unforgettable with their kindness. We celebrated our Anniversary (having been married on the Island 6 years ago) and came back to our room to find a lovely surprise after a busy day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Florina and would definately return! Thank you so much Yanna and Panos 😁
Casa Florina is everything you could hope for in a Santorini holiday; amazing views, beautiful accommodation, fantastic food, access to all that Santorini has to offer and incredible, caring staff who ensure that you have the best stay! Would definitely recommend Casa Florina to anyone wanting an idyllic holiday on Santorini.
Casa Florina is everything you could hope for from a visit to Santorini. Located in the small, picturesque village of Imerovigli (halfway between Oia and Fira, with the convenient and cheap public bus stop right outside) Casa Florina is a gorgeous boutique hotel that is my imagination come to life! We stayed in room 5, paying extra for a sea view, and our room was beautifully furnished with a private balcony with drop dead views of the caldera and the sunset! The view from the large deck at the hotel has second to none views of the caldera, and much more impressive (and quieter) than the sunsets at Oia! The managers Yana and Panos were absolutely phenomenal and intuitive hosts, taking our bags to our room, giving directions and recommendations, and were the most welcoming of people. They cooked our breakfast each morning to order- scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fresh fruit and coffee. Fantastic people who are delinitely in the right line of work! I will definitely be staying here again on my return trips to Santorini, and cannot recommend Casa Florina enough.
We have just returned from a weeks stay at Casa Florina. We loved the location of this property as its higher than most so affords more privacy than a lot of other properties which you can look down and into. We had room 5, paying a little extra for a balcony. This was a small balcony but with space for 2 to sit and stunning views over the caldera. This is not a luxury hotel, the bathrooms are very simple and bedroom fairly basic but its kept clean and has all you need(ie a fridge so can store own drinks), comfy bed, air con, plunge pool. The Maltese hotel next door(and Buddha Bar) can get pretty noisy-this wasn't a problem to us as our bedroom was further away and we quite enjoyed the music and watching the people through the day (lots of posing and selfies going on!!). Its ideally situated for walking into Fira(20-30mins) and for the restaurants of Imerovigli-a few minutes walk away. We loved the breakfasts, especially the greek yogurt, honey and fruits and towels were provided for the pool/sunbathing if required. We did feel the bathrooms could do with a re-vamp as water temperature was inconsistent and the bathroom would end up with water everywhere. The 2 main things we would like to say about this place though is that the view you get for the price you pay, compared to other places I looked at, is amazing. Secondly, the hospitality and fun and warmth from both Yanna and Pannos(sorry if the spellings are wrong!) really help make this place. They were always helpful and accommodating and on the last day when we had a late flight they let us use the terrace, pool and have use of a room to change and use the toilet. I imagine other places would add a surcharge for this. They gave us lots of advice about where to go and what to do and even saw us off at the end. During our stay we walked from the hotel to Fira, to Oia(just under 2 hrs), hired a car for the day(visiting the archeological site, the lighthouse, the good heart restaurant, red beach, perissa beach and emporio), and took the bus to Kampia beach for the day. We also had 2 chill days! We loved our stay here and feel it was the right choice for us.
We have never written a poor review and have written directly to Casa Florina hotel management to try and sort our issues but sadly to no avail. The only gesture offered was a small discount off a non-refundable rate should we ever return!!!!! We feel the subject of noise at Casa Florina is one missing from reviews and we certainly wouldn't have stayed here if we'd have known how disturbed our night would be ~ that is why we are writing Our stay at Casa Florina was the last night of a fabulous 14 day Santorini holiday. Nights 1 to 13 were amazing and we arrived at Casa Florina ready for a peaceful night watching the sunset before flying the next day. We paid for 2 rooms and a premium for our sea view room. The sea view room has no windows and the view of the caldera is only from the balcony (which other guests from the room next door who weren't paying a supplement used too!!) Breakfast was very average. We feel the emphasis should be on less items and much better quality. The ham, cereal, eggs, jam and coffee were dreadful (we ended up using our own jam!) You choose breakfast from a laminated tick sheet menu covered in black smeary pen! The worst part of all was the lack of sleep from an incredibly noisy wedding at La Maltese (next door but one!) Do not stay at Casa Florina if they have a wedding on there. The band, two men constantly on microphones and screaming girls until 1am (the band stopped at midnight but people screaming and shouting didn't!) meant our sunset was ruined by the noise and we went out for dinner with headaches. When we returned, we endured another 3 hours of noise and a poor nights sleep. The worst part was the lack of apology either that evening from the live-in managers (so much bad feeling can be alleviated with a simple apology!) or them asking the next morning how we slept. Even if they know a guest has been disturbed it does not excuse a manager not asking and apologising. Santorini and the Caldera are stunning but peace and quiet in order to enjoy them is so important. Casa Florina may be cheaper (we still parted with €257 for 1 night!) but to my mind it is worth paying more and staying somewhere not surrounded by weddings and parties (we could see 3 from our balcony!)
If you want a more personal experience where you feel like you're staying with family, this is the place! Gianna and Panos were super welcoming and helpful, would make us breakfast every morning and then ask about our plans for the day. They helped us make the most of our trip by offering suggestions for where to eat, ideas for what to do, and helped us organise a scooter rental when we decided to scope out the entire island. They also organised our taxi to the airport so we did not have to. Our room was lovely and clean and we had our own private balcony, however we rarely used it as the main terrace views are BREATHTAKING. The only thing that threw us off was that the reception was right in front of our door; this meant less privacy than what we expected so that's something to keep in mind if you're honeymooning. The villa is situated at the very top of Imerovigli so while it's a bit of a hassle to get to with large luggage (the taxis cannot drop you right in front of the house) it's a 2 minute walk at most and it offers you some more privacy from the other apartments and hotels around you. Panoramic views of the entire island meant amazing sunset views from the comfort of your own terrace. Skaros Rock is directly in front as well, making for a fun afternoon activity that's free, relatively easy to get to and a tourist attraction that you can cross off your bucket list!
Staff was very kind and that's it for the good points. Again in Santorini an hotel with an attractive but deceptive website. BedRoom was fine although not really charming. bathroom is totally unaccaptable for 150-200 euros / night. Toilets are almost in the shower by the way.
