My husband and I stayed at Casa Florina early in June this year. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Santorini and see those beautiful white buildings with blue roofs and obviously the amazing sunset over the caldera. Initially we considered staying on the beach side Kamari or Perissa. However, after doing lots of research we ended up choosing Casa Florina precisely for its location and very friendly rates compared to other hotels in the same are. We made our decision ultimately based on the lovely reviews left on trip advisor. They were spot on. Imerovigli is a quieter town than Oia and Fira which suited us well. We walked a few times to Fira (20-30 minutes), took the bus to Oia, although we heard the walk there is very nice with amazing. Our room was very spacious and had a balcony looking out at sea - we were not overlooked and got to enjoy amazing views from this place. There are supermarkets within 5min walking distance and restaurants and bars everywhere. The best part of our stay was having outstanding hosts Panos and Yana. They really made us feel welcome at Casa Florina. At arrival Yana stayed up until late (we flew in from Bristol with Thompson) and even offered to carry our bags from the square where we were dropped off. Then went on to offer us wine and the unforgettable 'Argus' beer. Both Panos and Yana often joined us to watch the sunset and have a laugh at the shared terrace. They were always very friendly and helpful and very keen on making sure we made the most out of our holiday, assisting with booking tours and providing great advice on exploring the island. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. You could also choose between having it served on the terrace outside or in our room/private balcony. We loved our stay at Casa Florina. We managed to explore 75% of the Island missing out on Akrotiri and Red and White Beach. My husband and I both highly recommend this place and would happily go back to Santorini and stay at there.
We are just on our way home from a week at Casa Florina in Santorini and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small almost guest house feel property .with just seven rooms we were often on the decking on our own relaxing looking at the amazing view which we felt was even better than the recommended view in Oia . Our room which was number 5 was large with a small balcony which when you opened the doors you could see the fabulous view from the bed . What really made the holiday was the real family feel to this little gem which was because of Yanna and Panos who were always on hand with lots of information about travelling around the island to recommending places to eat and beaches to visit . Nothing was too much trouble for these two wonderful hosts Panos even fixed one of my sandals that broke one evening . The property was clean with fresh towells in the rooms and by the pool daily . The shower took getting used to as it was a handheld with no shower screen but each bathroom is a wet room so no problem at all once you get used to it .Free WIFI was great for keeping in touch with home . I would highly recommend this property and the wonderful people who run it Yanna and Pannos thank you we will be back 💕💕
We visited Casa Florina with our teenage daughters at the beginning of June. Everything worked smoothly we were transferred with one other couple and were then met Panos who carried Our bags to their lovely hotel. The hotel only has 7 rooms. Our room had a sea view and our daughter looked onto the small plunge pool. Breakfast was cooked to order every morning and the selection on offer was great. Both rooms were large and airy. Both Panos and Yana were always super friendly and you felt that they would do anything for you. One day we planned a long walk but were advised by Yana the day would be too hot and we should go the next day. She was totally right. They were always on hand with advise and a friendly face. We would recommend Casa Florina for its location views and wonderful hosts. When we return to Santorini we will definitely return to Casa Florina'!
We had a great stay at Casa Florina ! Imerovigli is the perfect place to stay in Santorini cos' it's very close to Fira (the main city of the island) without the annoying things like noise or crowd and it's not so far away from Oia too (you can easily reach these two cities from Casa Florina by bus or by foot). And Imerovigli is a typical charming small town of Santorini, you'll never get tired of its beauty ! And Casa Florina is located on the top of Imerovigli so you can enjoy the amazing landscape from the big common terrace. It's magic ! Yanna is a warm welcome host, she's so smiling and helpful. If you have one question or one request, she's always happy to answer or help you. It was such a pleasure to meet her ! No travel guide necessary when you stay at Casa Florina, ask Yanna ;-) The only bad stuff about Casa Florina (the reason that I can't give a five stars grade) was the bathroom : too small and also not convenient at all ! Indeed, the floor was always wet cos' the shower curtain was a little bit too short. There is a hole in order to drain water at the middle of the bathroom but it's not efficient enough ! The bathrooms really need to be renovated.
We were met from our Hoppa transfer by Yanna who took us to the hotel. As soon as as we arrived in reception she gave us a cold juice drink while we checked in. Our room is spacious and clean. There is a tv safe fridge hairdryer Out side our room is a small terrace with a table and chairs were you can have your breakfast Breakfast is excellent with a really good choice which is well cooked and presented The large terrace over looking the sea has plenty of sun beds and seats and is the perfect spot for watching the sunset There is a small pool ideal for cooling off Panos and Yanna run the hotel as the guests are family and nothing is enough trouble We have out on the terrace with Pano and Yanna watching the sunset and Panos brought out some ouzo and wine and we all sat and chatted Hints:- the tv remote has 2 inputs one just has BBC world news but the other input has more English speaking channels Also bring a kettle Panos or Yanna will give you hot water for a brew but I think having your own kettle would be handy Also ask in reception for a copy of the local bus timetable Also they will give you big blue towel for sunbathing It's an excellent B&B it's not a 5 * hotel buts it's quiet clean and excellently run and it's in a great spot for walks to Fira and also there are plenty of restaurants close by with excellent bus service close by where you get to Oia and Fira and from Fira bus station you get to the beaches or Akrotiri.
We have just arrived home from the most wonderful week at Casa Florina. It is in the best location to view the sunset over the Caldera and being at the top, you only have the challenge of the steps when you want some exercise and not as a necessity! The view was one thing but what really made our stay special was the hospitality of Yana and Panos. They made us feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and outside areas were always spotless and because they cultivated a family atmosphere, we shared experience and stories with all the other guests. That dosen't always happen in larger establishments. Meeting Yana and Panos made the difference. Casa Florina would not be the same without them. The rooms are nice and bright there are towels for indoor and outdoor use. We had a fridge in the room and Yana was happy to provide glasses and crockery for our stay. Yana has all the details for excursions and bus timetables (regular enough for all areas of the island). Fira is a beautiful 20 minute walk away and Oia is 2.5 hours with equally stunning views. There are at least 3 mini supermarkets within 5 minute walk and prices are ok but you should shop around. We found the nearest one to be the cheapest. There are restaurants everywhere and we did not have a single bad meal. Thank you Yana and Panos for our wondeful holiday!!
My sister and I stayed here for 1 week in May and had the most amazing time. Yana & Panos were incredible, hospitable, welcoming and made us feel like we were coming home to our family each night. We had the most breathtaking views of Santorini, all the way from Imerovigli to Fira, and the other side down to Oia. Casa Florina is in the perfect position for the most amazing sunset that you can experience on their own terrace and among this they are at the very top of the hill, higher than all of the other hotels, perfect! . Yana and Panos honestly made our stay amazing and among this they always came to join the group on the terrace to watch the sunset as we all drank wine and ate chocolate together, the vibe was fabulous and they made an effort in everything they did, offering us glasses of wine, a jacket when I was cold outside, vegetarian dinner that their friend cooked that they gave to both my sister and I and Panos even walked us down to one of the nearby restaurants on our first night to make sure we got a table. The rooms were perfect for us, just the right size with comfortable beds and loads of light. Everything was fine for us, and we had no issues with anything. We have been very happy with this stay, and didn't want to leave! Thankyou Yana & Panos ❤️
We have had an incredible time at Casa Florina, after visiting most parts of the island we can honestly say that Imerovigli is the best town to stay in while you are in Santorini. The hotel is fantastic, it is higher than every hotel in Imerovigli and the view is breathtaking. Oia does not have the best sunset in the world... Casa Florina does! There is local bus station 3 minutes walk down the road, as well as lots of great restaurants and a supermarket. It is very easy to find and to access from the main road. The walk along the Caldera to Fira takes about 20 minutes, and you can also take a longer walk to Oia. Panos and Yana have made us feel like family, their hospitality has been one of the highlights of our trip. We will be returning here with our extended family next year, and for many years ahead!
This was a great place to stay in Santorini! The location was very easy to get to (this is important in Imerovigli!), the property itself as well as the views were just stunning! Yanna was a very hospitable and helpful host for us. It was very close to the bus stop and a great little restaurant, Let's Eat. The only surprise was that the sea view room was more of a sideways sea view than a full on panorama, but I think this is likely due to the strong winds which would be hard on a window, and there was a balcony seating area right outside the room to see the full view. Overall it was great value for the location - definitely recommend!
Great hotel, with fantastic views when having breakfast. I did not stay in a room with a view, but got the view from the wonderful outdoors area where I would eat breakfast. It is high on the side of the Caldera, and is on a great location. Lots of restaurants locally, and the village itself is amazing - be ready to climb some stairs. Well worth the visit. Pop down to Skaros rock.
