My husband and I spent a week at Zenith Blue. We were greeted warmly by George who gave us recommendations and a bit of history of the island. We stayed in the Petite Suite with Terrace which has a lovely view of the volcano and the water. However there are some details we thought worth sharing. The bathroom is very small with a window right next to steps which don't allow for much privacy. The WiFi did not work in our room either. Breakfast was okay but I do not recommend this hotel for people with allergies/intolerances or meal preferences. It is advertised as a breakfast buffet but there are in fact no choices. I asked for a vegan alternative (for health reasons) but George told me there was no other options available. You are expected to eat what you are given. It is worth mentioning that there is no room service nor snacks available. It felt more B&B than a hotel to us. The location is great but compared to other hotels in the area, we felt that Zenith Blue was not the best choice and we would definitely not come back.
I was looking for a hotel reception but found George behind the bar. He gave us a welcome drink and sat with us for about 10 mins. Have a perfect overview of what to see and do on island. He also offered to organise rental car/quad bikes and booking if a catamaran trip. We felt so well looked after. He was not pushy and we did take him up on some offers. Everything was so simple! Can’t say enough good things about our experience.
My wife and I spent 2 nights at Zenith Blue and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived tired and hungry from an early morning flight from Athens and Gregory welcomed us with warm Greek hospitality. We stayed in room 103 which had models posing on the roof in the morning and early afternoon hours. Very surreal and incredibly picturesque. Gregory arranged everything from breakfast on our porch to the catamaran cruise across the caldera. Highly recommended and thank you Gregory!!
The place looked very old compared to the photos that were posted online when I booked it. View of the Caldera was limited and not worth the money that we paid for. Most importantly, the most important feature of the room, which was the outdoor hot tub with the views of the Caldera, was not working at all. Wasted an entire day waiting for the staff to try and get it fixed, but to no avail. Gave them one more day and was told that it could not be fixed for the rest of my stay. It was absolutely ridiculous. The breakfast was average when compared to other hotels in the area. And the wifi is not working at the place. So much more can be done. The only saving grace was that the staff were friendly.
Zenith Blue is located perfectly in Imerovigli on the cliff. The views are beyond my expectations. I travelled with 3 best friends for a girls trip. We spent days lounging around the pool drinking sangrias and exploring the island. The staff here are superb they took care of our every need and made recommendations for things for us to do, or places to eat and everything was perfect. The breakfasts they served daily were delicious. The snacks we had by the pool during the days were soooo good! I cannot say enough good. The room was clean, and suited our needs fine. It is not luxury but it is comfortable. I would definitely return to this resort. There are many many wedding photos taken right at this resort because the location is so wonderful. There are tons of resteraunts in walking distance.
Friends on Mykonos told us - Santorini is the Island of Romance.. It didn't disappoint - nor did Zenith Blue. Stayed for 4 nights mid October in a double room. From the prearranged transfer from/to the ferry dock - to the Guide to the hotel - our greeting - and then there is that view. Others have recounted it and they speak the truth. The rooms are just off the main walk path from Oia to Fiera.. so lots of foot traffic. We had a grand time watching people and then there were the photographers & brides with grooms in tow. They did stand on "our" roof for photos..( we were in room #3) but that was part of the fun. Activity died down when the sun set. We also had been over for a while - so jet lag and sleep hours were not out of whack. Elani and her staff were great - more than willing to organize tours and transfers. And really explained how to navigate the bus system on the island when we headed to Akrotiri and the far south of the island. Bathroom was small, shower was fine. My husband noticed the water smell - I think it's a left over of the volcanic sulfur in the area. Even for twice the price - there was nothing that could top the view, service and carved into the hill experience. We are already planning a return visit. Note: if you have vertigo or issues with stairs... this might not be the place for you.
We had a four day break at Zenith Blue. The view was breathtaking and staff very helpful and friendly. We arrived after a long night of travel at 7.30am, expecting to leave bags and come back at 2.30pm to check in. Eleni welcomed us with a complimentary drink and let us have our room straight away. She is full of suggestions for your holiday and nothing is too much bother for her. In response to any reviews below that say the rooms are basic, they are not luxurious but that is reflected in the reasonable price you pay. Our room was quirky, clean with the most spectacular view that will make you not want to leave your room all day. I would recommend this hotel on its fabulous location and great customer service from Eleni and her staff.
My husband and I as well as our friends spent our anniversaries here and had the most wonderful experience! We took advantage of the airport shuttle, which was incredibly spacious, and were dropped off a short walk from the hotel. Upon arrival we were able to drop our bags off until it was time to check in. We were promptly offered coffee and other refreshments by Helena(?)which we gladly accepted! The views from Zenith are absolutely breathtaking and makes for some amazing memories. You can order from the bar and they will bring it right to your patio or room! The location is perfect! We walked everywhere and it’s right next to a church, so you have an amazing view of the iconic blue domes right from the pool! We enjoyed our trip thoroughly and highly recommend staying here! Thank you Zenith Blue!
My overall stay at Zenith Blue was very 50/50. We stayed in the petite suite with indoor hot tub, The room was a lot smaller than it looks in the photos and not much storage for clothes so we lived out of the suitcase. The room was dirty with stray hairs, dirt down the side of the bed, stained blankets and towels and a very small bathroom which smelt of eggs and had a grimey toilet bowl. Luckily we don’t spend much time in the room. Apart from the cleanliness aspect this hotel was lovely. The manager was very helpful and arranged all of our evenings and excursions, she answered all questions without hesitation. The pool atmosphere was lovely and the views were SPECTACULAR! You can’t see the sunset from the hotel but a 2 minute walk round the corner and it’s there. The location was good, 20mins walk to Fira, 13min walk to Firsstefani. There are a lot of steps but this didn’t bother us. Breakfast was random, there wasn’t a buffet selection, every morning they would come out with a basket of bread, jam, butter, biscuits, a plate of fruit, and then a plate of food which was different every morning. We enjoyed this however if you are a fussy eater I think this would be tricky. Overall Zenith Blue was a nice stay but I don’t think we would stay here again. 3/5 rating from us.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights after having stayed in another hotel for five. The main reason we wanted to stay was because it was one of the only hotels in the area with a big pool. On the second day of our stay we discovered we couldn't even use the pool for the day as all the sunbeds were removed and there was a wedding!!! The wedding was booked months ago the manager kept telling us but that wasn't our issue, our issue was that they should have told us the pool wouldn't be available for that day rather than us finding out and spending an hour walking around looking for an open pool. If they had told us we could have made other arrangements for the day as we had been discussing tours with them. Other hotels I have been in would have slipped a piece of paper under the door the day before with a notice saying pool not available or something like this the and maybe made arrangements with the neighbour hotel for us to use there pool and sunbathing area. We asked ourselves could we use the pool in the hotel beside us and we were told sorry it's for guests only. I was very disappointed with the service in zenith and the fact that they didn't even apologize, they were quite defensive saying what can we do they booked it ages ago! Also the rooms are NOTHING like in the images, It looks like they took those pictures in a different hotel. The room was tiny and the bathroom stank of eggs and there was some sort of leak so every time we showered the floor would be wet up to two metres away from the bayhroom, it was gross. Also the view from our roof was lovely so people kept walking on top of our roof to take pictures and this woke us up numerous times. All the other hotels have the same view and roof but ours was the only one that didn't say private on it so everyone came and walked on it at all hours! However, the view was fab from our room and there was a young woman working at the bar who was really nice and friendly, that's the only good points I can mention!
