I booked a family package for the family room directly from the hotel's webpage, the packaged included amenities such as daily turn down cookies and milk service for the child, welcome amenity for adults of wine and cheese, 2 tickets for a local park, and 50% discount at 2 of the 3 restaurants in the hotel. I stayed for 3 nights. It turns out that (1) they did not provide the tickets to the local park until I remembered the details of the package, (2) there was no welcome amenity for adults, (3) there were no daily turn down service and (4) there were no cookies and milk for the child. All of these I had to ask front desk, who of course had no idea of the package, and their response was late. The service for what was advertised was almost non existent and it does not look as good as in the hotel's webpage because there were no toys for the child, only a PS4 and a few games, and a table board game. The restaurant didn't provide for the 50% discount bill as they didn't know of the package, so I had to fix it by myself by letting the front desk know. All this was supposed to be included in my package, and in the end I had to "do the work" by myself. I talked to the front desk manager and she tried to remedy the problem during my last night of the stay, but the overall level of service was mediocre at best because of the lack of knowledge of the service that the hotel has sold. It is actually quite impressive that almost all of the "good" hotels that I've stayed in Santiago have some sort of problem which should not of happen in the first place as long as the hotel provide some basic level of service, i.e. provide the service that was advertised or commonly expected from the brand. Another problem happened when I checked out, the hotel instead of charging me only one fee, it also charged the guarantee bill (fee for 1 night stay), I talked to the "person in charge Mario Munoz and he told me to write him an email, which I did and to which he doesn't even have the courtesy to reply with a confirmation receipt or just reply to my inquiry. The hotel itself is kind of dated, but in general clean. Staff was quite helpful, specially those at the spa and the Latin Grill Restaurant. The breakfast restaurant is just acceptable, nothing fancy or memorable. The only one member of the staff provided excellent service was the guy behind the Marriot Chat app.
Best location to stay in Santiago , close to all the main attractions and easy access from any point. Very comfortable with all the amenities of a first class Hotel, but the best perk of all is the Staff . The Staff is extremely helpful always going the extra mile to serve the customer, special Mr. Miguel Angel who made sure everything was perfect during my group's stay from the time we checked in to our last minutes in the hotel. Thank you !
I was impressed with the so many things with this hotel. It is very clean The rooms are comfortable. Two large beds that I slept very well in. The shower was roomy. I had the breakfast buffet and thought it was delicious. All of the staff were polite and friendly. While talking to the front desk, I could easily converse in either Spanish or English.
Haven't stayed here for many years and the hotel could benefit from an update. However the rooms are clean and functional. Service of the staff was consistently very good. Gray location to walk to business district or down to a nearby mall with many eating options
Stayed at the hotel attending an international congress. When I arrived at 9am my room was not ready, but the friendly staff arranged for me to use the gym/fitness area to freshen up after an overnight flight. Room became available at 2PM only. The suite assigned was spacious and everything worked just fine. The rooms could use an upgrade especially in the bathrooms but are compared to standard Marriotts in the US still better. The location is perfect to stroll down busy Ave. Kennedy. The executive floor staff is friendly and very helpful, but the breakfast variety at the exec. fl. lounge could use a bit more variety and the furniture could definitely be upgraded. It is not a lounge you want to hand out in. The hotel features a great gym and an excellent restaurant in the basement.
The location is perfect! Next to Mall Parque Arauco where there is a food court, clothes, shopping, cinema and pubs! The room service was great! Rooms clean! The only thing was that my mom was a little sick before we arrived so she needed to eat chicken with rice... and it was too spicy... besides that it has one of the best meat restaurants so you need to have a reservation! The breakfast was also great!!! The views of the mountains are fantastic!
I used to LOVE this hotel but it is badly in need of a refurbishment. In the bathroom, I had to hold down the drain button with my toe for the water to drain. The decor is outdated - they have not changed the rooms at least since 2011, when I first visited. Lots of scuffs and marks on the walls. The curtains wouldn't close all the way, letting in a lot of light. Time for an upgrade, Marriott. There’s a brand new Courtyard next door that is much nicer looking. More plain, but nicer.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Very good executive lounge. What else can you ask for? We even got an upgraded room, that was the icing on the cake. If I'm in Santiago again, that will be my preferred hotel. There is a grocery store and a mall right next door.
Hotel is located next to a Mall "Parque Arauco" you can find anything you want... Food entertainment, clothes etc. the food at the hotel is amazing a lot variety to choose. Pool was excellent, and the staff is 5 stars... i love that one of the front desk staff helped me to wrap a wine bottle that i purchase outside the hotel. Dedicated staff to open the elevator was a plus...!!
Although the front desk personnel try hard to welcome you and be friendly, the hotel was not extraordinary in any way. No turn-down service in the evening, no water bottles in the room. The worst part: breakfast at the hotel restaurant: terrible food, bad smell, so-so service.
