Relaxing beach house

Beautiful house in a quiet gated community. There is a boardwalk behind the house that leads to the pool, third house from the pool. Across from the pool there was a boardwalk leading to the beach for easy access. There were several boardwalks between houses leading to the beach. The landlord reacting quickly to the few minor issues and great communication. I sat on the back deck in the morning drinking my coffee and evenings enjoying sunsets. I would rent again.

Ocean Reef is a terrible property manager

Rented for a week Oct-Nov 2023 and found the house, and our experience with Ocean Reef, unacceptable. Arrived Sun night to a water leak in master bath. Ocean Reef clearly knew about because the water was turned off at the sink. A plumber made two extended trips the next day and made the repairs, but not until my hair dryer and toiletries bag were soaked and we had used almost every towel to mop up the floor. Discovered dishwasher not working on second night and after three trips by three separate maintenance workers, they were unable to repair it. Finally it was replaced late afternoon Thu. We discovered the second night that we had no exhaust fan for the gas cook-top so had NO COOK-TOP the entire trip. Clearly Ocean Reef knew that the dishwasher and the cook-top were inoperable before we arrived and made no attempt to tell us. Over the week we had five different maintenance workers in the house. The intrusion into our reading, naps and time to relax was significant. Honestly, it felt disrespectful that we received little to no prior notice when maintenance workers were arriving, and after multiple calls per day trying to make this right only ONCE did someone from Ocean Reef return our call. We had to call them back every single time and had to describe the situation to four different staff people or managers. It was infuriating. Turns out the house was on the market, which explains a lot. They offered us a pittance off our rate. Cannot recommend Ocean Reef.

Morrow Cottage

This is our 6th year in a row to rent a house in Old Florida Beach. Morrow Cottage was the 4th different house we have rented in this neighborhood. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. We had to call Ocean Reef on the first day for ants and dirty bathrooms The manager sent the cleaning crew back over to clean these items while we were there, which was even more uncomfortable. The stairs and window sills were filthy also. I ended up just cleaning and disinfecting the property from top to bottom on my first day of “vacation.” I will definitely bring my family back to this neighborhood next year, but not this property. The correspondence of Ocean Reef is excellent, always very quick to respond to my emails prior to arrival so I was very surprised to find this cleanliness issue upon arrival.

Morrow Cottage

We had a wonderful vacation and the house was very nice and clean. The short walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all. Would highly recommend this rental.
