It is fairly basic accommodation but the have tried hard to put a few extra touches on everything. Nice reception upon arrival and the breakfast was excellent! The pool and spa are in a very pretty courtyard and the hotel itself was very centrally located.

They first gave me a room with a view of the parking lot. But when asked they did move me. Being in Santa Barbara, why all the room doesnt have a view is beyond me. They do have shuttle service from airport and within 5 miles of the hotel. That being said, they wont take you to UCSB or downtown Santa Barbara. The taxi is about $20.00 to UCSB and $35.00 to the beach and downtwon Santa Barbara. There is a pool and hottub. Between 5-7 pm they have free wine and beer and appetizers in lobby. Staff is very friendly. The room has a seperate couch and TV area, so you dont have to just sit on the bed. Also a TV in bedroom area. It had a mini fridge and microwave. If you want lunch or dinner in your room they have a "room service type of delivery, but it is very expensive! Also the have a food delivery service you can access on your smart phone. They do have a free breakfast made to order which is very good. They do have bike you can rent to get around town. I would like to see them update the shower area. Its near airport but i didnt hear any planes while in room. Also didnt hear alot of noise in hallway. We were on second floor, so didnt hear anyone around our room either.

Overall this hotel needs some serious upgrades. Rooms and furniture were old and in generally poor condition. TV didn't work. Hair dryer blew out. Bathroom and shower were pathetic. Front desk staff was useless and unhelpful when asked about local activities and restaurants.

I love this hotel. I live in town and stay here if I want a little getaway. They have a made to cook breakfast which surpasses any hotel breakfast I have had. The choices are delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Very convenient to the airport and freeway. Very nice breakfast

The room was very comfortable and roomy. Nice balcony too.

I was so pleased by this hotel's everything. The grounds are beautiful, well-maintained, and we found out about the old Sexton family history, they kept the old structure and windmill. The suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Their breakfast is cooked to order, you can have whatever you want, eggs cooked how you like it, omelettes, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, both pork and turkey bacon/sausages, and even a yogurt parfait if you want to be healthy, what a wonderful generous concept! And they have amazing selections of pastries, cereal, fresh fruits, pre-packed yogurt, soft boiled egg, coffee/tea and juices offerings. I'm coming back here, and definitely prefer to stay here than somewhere in Downtown SB. It was only a 10 minute drive to the main State St. of Downtown SB. Parking on site was easy, we didn't have fight for a spot nor walk far from our unit. The only issue I had was that their walls and floors were not sound proofed very well. We can sometimes hear the people upstairs walking and people outside talking. Our suite was located next to the cafe. And they didn't have a gym or spa area. It would have been a perfect, nice getaway.

It was a surprise to find such an awesome hotel which stands on the huge grounds of a historical site, a previous prominent nursery, and an old Victorian home that is now a museum,. The hotel grounds are lovely with many huge old trees. This hotel is very modern and had an amazing breakfast included. There are many bicycling and walking paths in the area and it is also in the town of Goleta. We look forward to our next visit there.

The hotel met expectations. Room was clean. Included breakfast was sufficient. Road noise was survivable. Check-in staff was very helpful.

Awesome hotel, nice comfortable, great location, great service.

As long as traffic isn't bad, the location is conveniently close to freeways to get to the areas around UCSB, Goleta and - a bit farther - Santa Barbara. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Breakfast made to order is a nice touch. Avoid the rooms that face the freeway if possible - noisy. We got a free upgrade to get away from it.

Lovely setting, pretty gardens, and nice pool area. Loved the cooked to order breakfast that was included. Our room was on the interior and it was very quiet. Good deal because it had a separate bedroom with a sliding door and a sleeper sofa in the other room. TVs in both rooms. Friendly staff. Would stay again!

What a great little gem close to UCSB. What a pleasant surprise to find such a great place to stay. Cookies when we register, Happy Hour with local wines and beer and delicious made to order breakfast in the morning. We'll be back!

We only stayed here one night but it fit the bill for what we needed and was clean, well-equipped and a great value for the money. Cooled to order breakfast was included in the price (waffles were especially yummy) and it was a real SUITE–two real rooms, a living/sitting room and a separate bedroom, not one of those places that call themselves suite but are actually one big room. (What's the DEAL with THAT, anyway?!) My one wish was that there was a gym ONSITE, as I was too lazy to get in my car and go to the health club 2 miles down the road that the inn had an arrangement with. ($5 passes for hotel guests) It's not a great location if you like to WALK to everything, as you have to drive to downtown SB and the University of SB, but it was very convenient for driving. I can't comment on the pool facilities as we were too busy touring the campus and checking out downtown to use them. If you don't mind not being right in downtown you can have a very pleasant and much more affordably priced stay at Pacifica Suites.

We stayed for one nite and had a great time. This place has excellent breakfast.

Really nice hotel. The grounds were beautiful. Not far from Downtown Santa Barbara. The room was really comfortable as were the bed and pillows which is unusual for me. Would stay here again without hesitation!

We were there to visit our son at U.C.S.B. The hotel is close to campus. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the bed and pillows. Close to the beach, shopping and food. Breakfast was included and it was good. We wish we would have asked for a room farther away from the road, but the noise wasn't bad enough to complain. We would stay there again.

Front desk staff not very friendly, didn't explain the hotel amenities. Room was spacious but average. Good location near freeway but room was noisy. Maid left wet towels on bathroom counter that we had forgotten to put on the floor, she should have either taken them or hung them up. Breakfast was subpar. Not a good value for the money, we probably won't stay here again unless we're desperate.

Very quaint nestled next to the freeway but you would never know it.. Suite was on the small side but the bed quality definitely made up for it. They do not have a self laundry facility which would have been nice. Breakfast was awesome.

The hotel is a short 10 minute drive from downtown Sta. Barbara, which is not bad, being on the way if you are planning on visiting the vineyards further north, or the Danish inspired town of Solvang. The hotel has modest , but well-kept, facilities. The room was bigger than I expected--all suites from what I was told, with 2 flat screen TV's, refrigerator, free wi-fi, and very clean.. The room was well-appointed, with a sofa, writing desk, two full queen-sized beds and very clean bathrooms. Breakfast is all to order. You just hand your choice to the counter and get your breakfast in a couple of minutes. None of the cookies and coffee you find in cheap chain hotels. The landscaping around the hotel was beautiful and there is a restored 19th century house beside the main hotel building, which I understand is used for meetings and conferences. If you do not want the noise of downtown Sta. Barbara at night or the constant flow of cars near the beach, this is the hotel for you and it does not hurt that the price was very reasonable.
