The service here was impeccable, the property was perfect- it was clean, safe, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. I would recommend this place to families and friends looking for somewhere quiet to stay, away from the bustle of the main town.

The property was beautifully kept and the pool was nice. We were disappointed by the lack of beach area. The pictures are misleading. There is barely any beach at all and what is there is covered with a ton of sea grass which smells like sewage. Many other resorts had a retaining wall that keeps the grass at bay and provides a decent beach. Overall a great place.

Good, comfortable and spacious. WiFi was slow though, the only negative.

The Grand Villas were great for a big room. It's like a rental home with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Very spacious and clean. Had it's own pool and the beach was right behind it walking distance. Free welcome drink upon checking in at the gazebo by the pool. Not much was happening at the hotel itself though. All the events, shops, and restaurants are closer to San Pedro Town, which isn't that close. Walkable up to 20-30 minutes and weather is nice. At night it can get a little dark and dangerous.

Very nice staff, great location with access to a nice restaurant. Will book again.

Rooms were wonderfully maintained, the beach view was spectacular, and the hotel staff was always friendly and accommodating.

the place was amazing, although a bit pricey. people were very nice, as was everyone we came in contact with on the entire island (ambergris caye). Definitely worth it as a splurge, and close to many things, (nice seviche next door, good BBQ down the street, and fruit stand across the street, etc

PROS: This was our second trip to Belize and first trip to San Pedro Ambergris Caye. Our selection of Grand Colony was based upon other positive reviews that we read before selecting this property. Processing of the check-in was fast and the front desk handled everything quickly and professionally and personally made a quick tour with us to our rooms and introduced the Amenities of the property to all of us in our family group. The rooms that we reserved were no small cramped Hotel rooms but rather they were spacious 2-3 bedroom condo/apartment units with everything for a short or extended stay living. Each bedroom had a TV and the living room also had a TV. The master bedroom had a large double bathtub and walk-in shower. After a welcome drink by the pool we visited the beach that the property fronts on and it was nice and well maintained. Restaurant facilities are available in the adjoining co-owned property and the apartment had full kitchen facilities for home cooking as well and we used both. All I can say is that the property and the condition and size of the rooms (approximately 1,100-1,250 SF) and finishing's will surprise you as it did all of us with the quality of the appointments. CONS: POOR QUALITY CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST

This property is beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in a 2 bedroom pool view room # 19. It was on the 3rd floor and well worth the walk up. It has a view of the beach and of course the pool. This 2 bedroom is absolutely beautiful with stone floors wood ceilings, grnaite countertops and steel appliances with 2 beautiful well appointed bathrooms. The master has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. Vanessa in the officed is awesome.

Thanks for spending time with us, your comments are highly appreciated! Although you might feel there isn't much to do at the resort, we do have copliemntart bike, kayaks and paddleboards. We do certainly share a few of the amenities at out sister resort which is a two minute walk on the beach. We have our in house restaurant, spa, gift shop and beach bar within proximity of Grand Colony. We are indeed located a mile south from the center of the town but can be easily accessible by golf cart rentals or taxis. We very much look forward to welcoming you again so you can enjoy!
