A family group of 3 couples stayed in the 3 bedroom villa suite and must say it was very enjoyable! The beds were perfectly comfortable! The master bedroom is way bigger than ours at home! The villa is of a 5 Star Gold Crown quality! Huge pool, security always nearby, and close enough to town to shop and go to the restaurants but far enough from the noise too. I recommend you rent a golf cart for the week. There's plenty of free parking everywhere and frankly the best way to get around. You'll love it here and I highly recommend! Our week ended 10/26/19.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 bedroom villa at Grand Colony. There were 3 couples and we each had our own room. Our trip was during the slow season so we basically had the place to ourselves. The staff were very helpful and friendly. One morning the groundskeepers cracked open a few coconuts for us and gave us the juice and meat. We will definitely be back

Stayed at Grand Colony in Mid Sept 2019 during the slow season and really enjoyed the accommodation. There were 5 of us in a 3 bedroom and it was very spacious. Having Banyan Bay with 366 Restaurant next door was very convenient. The Staff - especially the security guys--- were cheerful and courteous.

Our first trip to Belize and so most of our trip relied on other reviews, and glad we chose Grand Colony Villas! The room was pristine - we stayed in 3bd 2 ba Villa overlooking the beach and the staff was so accommodating and friendly! The location was convenient to town and even though there is a new resort being built next door, we never had any issues with noise. The pool was always clean and refreshing! We did eat at the sister hotel- nice stroll down the beach- had excellent food and drinks and wonderful service. The seagrass rolled in daily, but they had diligent staff cleaning the beach daily- but we spent our time at the pool and secret Beach. We would stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful. Heated pool open 24 hours. Room was always kept nice. The jacuzzi tub was amazing! The only downfalls were we could only get wifi in the living room, kitchen, and outside (but who really goes on vacation for their phone anyway?), and the beach was not able to be used due to the sargassum. The staff does do their best to keep it clean, but we enjoyed the ride to secret beach more. You will find this issue anywhere. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. The sister resort's amenities were nice as well. There were only a few other rooms booked so we basically had the resort to ourselves. We enjoyed the pool almost nightly by ourselves since we were told many of the couples were off night diving. We rented a golf cart and were in town within 8 minutes. You won't find a more hospitable group of people in the Carribean!

We visited Belize in August and had a fantastic stay. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. They helped coordinate excursions to the mainland, snorkeling, taxis, golf carts, etc. Their sister hotel, Banyan Bay, had a fantastic restaurant called Pier 366 and was just next door. They cleaned the sea grass all day to help keep the beach and water clear. Anyone reviewing the hotel poorly because of sea grass is doing the hotel a disservice. The odor was bad at times, but only because of hotels to the south did little to clean up. Washer and dryer were a huge plus! Hot water, and the best bed I've ever slept on in a hotel!!! And while there was construction going on nearby, you could not hear it inside. In fact, this was one of the best insulated hotels I've ever been in! You couldn't hear any outside noise unless you opened the doors.

the resort was fine, accomodations are spacious and well-appointed. however, there is tons of construction directly next door that goes from 7am - 6pm 6 days a week. so hanging out at the pool or sleeping in are really not an option. we asked to not be near the construction, but only upon check out did they say that they would have moved us if we had asked - they never offered. but generally the resort is nice and the beach out front well-maintained.

Beautiful resort with lovely, clean rooms and a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. Most importantly the customer service is wonderful. Everyone is very professional and nice from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I definitely recommend staying at Grand Colony Villas when planning to visit the Ambergris Caye.

With daughters 11 and 14 we spent the last week at Grand Colony. The grounds are beautiful and constantly maintained. William the bartender was atentive while we lounged at the beautiful pool. Our two bedroom suite was perfect. Plenty of hot water, washer and dryer, space for the family , great balcony with view of the sea. The housekeeping staff did a great job. The pier restaurant and bar right down the beach had great food and drinks with games on the beach. Lovely beach area , we we're lucky the sargassum wasn't too bad and they cleared what came all day. Perfect location close to town. All in all great value for a beautiful quite property!

Beautiful property. Immaculate, new, spacious rooms. The island is having trouble with seaweed but this property is doing its best to keep it shoveled off daily. If you book excursions through the hotel expect to pay more.
