The host let us check in early (greatly appreciated) & while we enjoyed the location/views we were disappointed by several property conditions. We found sand all over the floors, hair on the bathroom walls/bedroom floor, crud on the kitchen faucet, yellow drops on the toilet seat, ect. Later that night when these began to rack up I reached out to discuss but was met with the host being defensive/abrasive. Photos were requested & sent but after sending I never got a response & communication about these issues ended. Also the sliding door to the balcony was very hard to fully close as it didnt align well. Even when we were able to get it closed we noted that all the doors/windows had horrible seals making it difficult to get the condo cool/manage the humidity sufficiently. Lastly & at no fault of the host, the water wasnt readily accessible for our last days (water main issue in the area) but when this happened it left the condo without a/c. One backup window a/c is provided but ineffective due to the seals which just further highlighted the problem. When I contacted the host again during the outage to express my concerns about not being able to complete the check out process in full without running water (flush toilet, do dishes) the response I got was to fill up a bucket with water. I'm sharing this so future guests are aware that reporting legitimate concerns may not be met with a constructive resolution & with the hopes some of these things can be improved in the future.
