El San Juan Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

The location is great, close to the airport. The room was clean, a little bit old and the carpet clean but old too. Bed was good. I had a suite for more than 500 and there was no balcony. Food is great and the amenities and the general look of the hotel out of the room is beautiful. Beach is beautiful too and the service very good. Didn't like that I had to pay around 80 dollars a night for the resort. When you book it says there's some fees that could be charged, but not that daily amount that I think it's too much.

The El San Juan is recently back in business after the Hurricane but you would never know it. Same great service I have come to expect over 30 years of coming here. Mid Century charm with modern convieniences. Five minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Old San Juan. Tips: Uber is easy and fast to use in the San Juan area. Verizon is good connectivity but a bit slow at 3G in the San Juan area.

It’s good hotel for sure. Few things. No pen in room. Also room didn’t have balcony which was really disappointing. Seems like they’re still fixing up. Restaurants are not advertised properly. Also I payed for parking by checkout and took long to leave parking lot until someone had to come maybe 15 minutes later to open. Location is the best. All in All it’s not bad but for the money you can find better by far.

The hotel is 1/3 closed. No lobby and half of pool is open. It still under renovations. The staff is great but you don’t get your whole hotel experience unfortunately.

Still under construction from Hurricane Maria. Everyday at 9am someone would knock on our door asking if we are leaving today. The television was not clear. The hallways were very loud from all the construction. When we walked into our room for the first time it seemed as if someone was in our room. Water bottles around.

I still give a good rating because I have stayed here before and it is in fact a beautiful place to stay. My concern though is that there was no warning when we booked that the entire lobby, shops and even club are currently closed. Even the front driveway! I bragged to my friends about this place for the last year and they agreed to take the trip and I felt bad when we arrived and so many parts of the hotel were closed off. A warning would have been great so we could delay booking. We spent our evenings playing charades in our rooms and sitting by the pool being told “the pool is closed”. We had nothing to do every night. There should have been a warning AND a discount. I was sent next door to another hotel to book our excursions. Otherwise the staff was great as always and grounds still beautifully kept. But if u really want to see how awesome this place is, wait until they are done renovating!!! Also I must add, we asked for our rooms to be close together.. considering that the hotel was practically empty, this was possible but INSTEAD they put my friend in a room on the opposite end of the hall with an awesome view and we had a view of the front driveway which is being renovated. I just can’t understand why they would make the decision to do that? El San Juan, I love ur hotel and I recommend it to everyone I know so please make sure u make this up to me next time I go there.

We loved our stay. The staff was warm and very helpful.

Nice hotel, but has no room service . The pool is great, but other than that there is not much to do. The hotel was pretty empty. The valet parking is too expensive and the car is parked in the sun. A lot of employees did not know many things about the hotel. Inpaod $100 for a cottages in front of the pool, and it included only 3 water bottles and a fruit plate (too expensive), then I saw people using the cottage next to my for free.

Hotel offers great choices in terms Of pools, beach, new gym etc. staff very friendly and location was great

Overall the hotel is beautiful, the staff is very friendly but it was inconvenient not to have room service, access to the spa and the construction took a lot away from the experience.

Beautiful resort, Beach is awesome as well as the pool area (Bar) very clean, comfortable and very convenient to restaurants. Location is very controlled by security.

We were surprised to learn that the hotel isn't officially open until October 2018. This wasn't due to Maria. The hotel is being completely remodeled. We chose this hotel specifically for the spa and it was still under construction. Only one restaurant was open and a café for breakfast. The fitness center was great! This hotel will be fantastic once all the restaurants, shops and the spa are operational. Most of the staff was very pleasant and extremely accommodating. We only had issues with one woman at the front desk who just didn't seem to be a "people person".

Beautiful resort. Completely renovated but still has old world charm. Lovely staff, right on the beautiful Isla Verde beach. Amazing pools. There's even a view from the fitness center. Hate that we had to evacuate but we will be back. Next time with the kids. Didn't get to try the restaurants but I read they were award winning. Loved Puerto Rico. So much history and charm and fun.

I liked it very much. Accomodating, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Love the El San Juan. The lobby is beautiful and lively. The staff is first rate and my wife loved her pool yoga class.

I loved that it had many pools and it was right on the beach. I didn't like that they provided no toothbrushes, toothpaste lol! For the price I paid for 7 days I couldn't even get free wifi nor breakfast for a family of 6. They charge for everything even towels if not returned. Guess everywhere you go it's different but my children had an amazing time which is what matters! Thank you
