Overall pleasant experience. Clean, convenient, nice staff!

Stayed for one night looking for apts in the Bay Area and this hotel was very nice ! We had a BIG room with a king sized bed and the room service was so delicious !

Quiet hotel. Was given free breakfast because concierge lounge was closed. (Good breakfast too!!!)

There were five people in line to register. There were thee people seeing to customers, but one was checking in a group that was a lengthy process, one seemed to be helping a woman with some translation needs and one was actually checking the line in. I could hear as she spent nearly 10 minutes answering all kind of questions or what transportation to take to what landmark etc. Great to give that kind of service, but in a finer hotel, it is the job of the concierge rather than the desk clerk. All that couple's questions made the rest of us have to stand in line just that much longer. If I had not prepaid, I would have left.

We checked in and the bell man helped us to our room. We liked our room but suddenly he said we had the wrong room. That they had to change us to another room. So we went down one flight and they placed us in a very small room. It was slightly larger than a broom closet! I was glad we were only staying one night.

I have stayed at Marriott's numerous times on business before (with good results) so jumped at the price which was lower than many others in the area. This stay was personal rather than business, for a last-minute getaway to the Bay area. I was really shocked when I walked over to open the curtains and found them in shreds. Both sides were "sliced" from top to bottom near the center hem and even one of the blackout curtains was slit. I did report it to the front desk at the end of Day 1 (of two) but they were still there through our stay. Very disappointing... I have been in the hospitality industry and would be embarrassed to have a guest see such poor conditions. Otherwise our stay was good and the room and stay pleasant. I do think that $24 a day for parking is really excessive. When I've stayed before, it was with a convention price and didn't have to pay that much...

Hair was in the shower and when we turned the shower on, a stick came out of the drain. It had obviously not been cleaned...or even given a basic rinse. Our sheets made us itch and after the shower issue, we wondered if they had been cleaned. As most "upscale" hotels you have to pay for parking, wifi (seriously Marriott? should be complimentary at this point), breakfast etc. Food was just okay. For all we needed to pay, it was not worth it. They did have a free shuttle to and from San Fran airport which was nice BUT our plane came in at 10 and it stopped running at 9 so we had to pay $30 for a cab to the hotel. We did get the shuttle back to the airport which was nice. I'd rather stay at Holiday Inn/Days Inn, pay less AND get the complimentary wifi, breakfast, and a clean room. I've been less impressed with Marriott over the years.

Nice place to stay. It was clean and a good distance from the venue.

Excellent. Loved the room and the hotel. Can't wait to return.

I drive to the hotel in the morning to ask if I can check in earlier than the regular check in time which is 3pm cause we didn't sleep the night before so we can take a nap before I have to driving the whole day.A lady at front desk was able to make a phone to housekeeping to see if they have the room ready yet,so she asked me take a seat first.I sat there for 15mins and she just went in their front desk office never come out,so I have to ask another front desk lady about my answer,so she said gonna go get her, then she disappear for another 5mins,so I asked the third lady who is the only one stand in the front desk at the moment, and then the lady helped me finally come out and she tell me they are checking for me in the office about the housekeeping,so I ask how long exactly I will know about I can get the room now or no cause I still have to go out&visit the city. She told me it depends on what time the housekeeping will starting to clean the room and they are trying to figure that out,and then will be 40mins cleaning time,I am so despaired at that moment, what kind of front desk will take half an hour to get not even an answer for a guest??? I really angry by them and I just said I will come back tonight, this is ridiculous for a front desk, and I never experience this when I travel to any other country in the world.I can take it if she tell me the room won't be ready before I spend the time of waiting there do nothing. They also gave me a parking card for free and made me pay for parking when I check in at night.Terrible staff!!!

Surprise parking is 22$ a day! Gets costly! Overall great place!!

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time in San Francisco, and having a nice hotel to stay at was one of the highlights. The room was clean, good area, loved it.

We booked with the "free breakfast" offer, and it was a steal! The beds were very comfortable. We had a problem with a sliding door and someone came to fix it right away. You can tell the building is older, but it is kept up very well. We were happy with our stay.

The room was very nice; clean, very comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The only thing that was kind of a disappointment was that the TV service was strange. There was no basic cable. You couldn't even watch the local news. Everything was pre-packaged movies or TV series. While some of the TV offerings were free, it was still irritating not to be able to watch ESPN, any of the news stations, or anything else that was being broadcast at that time. That is the only reason I gave it four out of five instead of the full five.

Visit was for one night only. The room was very nice, amenities, café/grill on premises, excellent complimentary breakfast buffet, nice staff. Only problem was that when I gave my credit card for incidental charges front desk charged me for the stay, therefore I was billed twice once by T/A and then again by hotel. I did call and the error was corrected without a problem.

Hotel was nice, bed was comfortable, room a little small, good for one person for one night. Coffee maker in room didn't work. Didn't like that the sink was in the room outside the bathroom. Over the sink was a lighted mirror, the only light in that area and it was not very good especially if you're trying to put on make-up.

I had a 1st floor room not too close to the outside door. It had french window siding window door between the living area with a pull out sofa/bed and the bedroom. The french doors had anchored curtains that matched the decor of both rooms nicely. The closet had a light that automatically turned on when opened (also a comfy robe hanging inside). The bathroom was a little tight - I am not a size 6! however the lighting was really good & the pull cord to hang wet clothes was a plus. Housekeeping was very friendly as well as the people at the front desk. Especially when the computer deactivted the room cards. It has 2 gyms, outside pool & spa that I truely enjoyed (the last hour is adult only in pool/spa). Location is 30 mins. from Union Square but with traffic you will need more time. I would return again .

At check in we asked and did receive free parking rather than the 22.00 charge. At check out we noticed that they had reversed it and charged. We asked again and they did remove the charge from our bill, but not with the best customer service. We like one night get aways, but won't return to this Marriott again. Lots of other hotels in the area to try. The lobby area looks very good, but the room was average.

The Hotel has the look and the feel of a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Room was very clean and comfortable. We paid the extra $15 for breakfast, and saved over $50!! Over all, a great place to stay. Will be coming back!
