Pacific Terrace Hotel

Nowadays you find a lot of hotels that cut costs - when you look at pictures on website it is all nice, but reality turns worse. With Pacific Terrace, it's the other way around. Pictures look nice, but in reality it is better! Exceeded my expectations on all levels: prompt and super-friendly staff, very clean, high quality furniture and interior. We much enjoyed our 1 week stay in San Diego at this hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our time staying at this hotel.

Had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor. Beautiful views and there were no issues to report.

Our room had a very nice view of the ocean and pool area, it was Great.

The room is fancy and clean. The location is good.

Our original room (2nd floor) itself was beautiful, however, we reserved and paid for ocean front and got a room on the side of the building. Did have a nice view of the ocean from the balcony & near the sliding door, but the room faced directly at the side street and condos/parking garage across the street. At first we decided it was ok (the room was so nice) but within a few hours had many smokers and people/traffic on the street outside our room (our balcony was close to street level), and very loud folks upstairs. Asked to be moved, they only had an upgrade room available and we would have had to pay $100 more (even though the room was still vacant at 7:00 p.m.). They did move us the next night (more private but smaller room) on the top floor and away from the busy street. Would hesitate to book here again for the price, without a guarantee of a top floor, truly ocean front room. Nice place, but expensive for what we got.

We have stayed five times over the last six years. We stay in an ocean view room. Location is perfect. We walk, ride the bikes they provide. The boardwalk is three miles long on the beach side, and several miles long on the bay side. We doe a big look. Riding at night is amazing. The paths are well lite. Many restaurants and bars near by. The pool is sparkling clean. I love swimming under the stars with the torches and palm trees lite up. La Jolla five minutes north, the airport fifteen minutes south.

Perfect location for a getaway. Lovely. My Mom and I enjoyed the luxury room and private balcony. The partial ocean view was great!

I would give this 6 stars if I could. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating. Everything was perfect. Room exceeded expectations.

Beautiful hotel with great views. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Complimentary bikes to check out the restaurants/shops in the area. Definitely recommend.

This is super cute hotel in a great location with a wonderful staff. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for what you get ($500+/night for a hotel that's not high end seems a bit much) but that's the case with all the hotels in the Pacific Beach area. For that reason, I will probably do Airbnb or the like the next time I stay in PB but if I have to stay in a hotel, it would be at this one.

Pacific Terrace hotel was wonderful! We came during the off season and the rate for our room was fantastic! Room was very clean, bed was super comfortable, and hotel perfectly located on the beach! The heated pool was dreamy! Our experience here exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back. The only downside is we checked the rates for the summer as will be in San Diego in June and the summer rates are way to expensive. The same room more than doubles in its nightly rate. So, we will have to wait for the off season! Most certainly will be coming back!

The hotel was a perfect spot, right in the middle of everything. There was a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family.

We absolutely loved our short stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Breathtaking balcony view, service like no other, and complementary amenities! We loved the free bike rentals, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, and delicious breakfast. Baskets to protect our food would have been helpful- lots of flies at breakfast. Will definitely return!

Very nice hotel- beautiful view and great location!!! First time in Cali and enjoyed my stay... Oh and for breakfast, go to kono's- an all day CHEAP breakfast spot on the board walk...I maybe incorrect with the restaurant name but it usually has a line of people waiting... You won't miss it... Also, the line goes surprisingly fast so don't let the line discourage you!!!

Nice place would stay there again did not like being charged for parking

Everything was great except Unique Limo that took us to the airport and left us at the wrong terminal. It appeared he had another fare and just wanted to drop us off.

If you want a great hotel that is right in the heart of Pacific Beach San Diego, then this is it!! Awesome location to walk to bars and restaurants, beach is just steps away, and pool is relaxing for sure! Perfect ocean view from room, and couldn't ask for much more. Pricey but service and quality of room was worth every penny!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is an excellent spot for pacific beach access. However, it is definitely not worth the money you are spending. For example, they have a breakfast buffet that costs $14 per adult and a resort fee (beach chairs, umbrella, etc.) that is also $14/day. You would think that if you are spending $350-400/night that you would get those items included, but you don't. Also, the pool was very small, not like the picture shown. This made it very busy and unable to use because of all the people that post up in the pool chairs all day. I would NOT recommend this hotel. You can find far better deals. As well, there is no point on spending that amount of money on the room, because you will only be in it to sleep/shower. The beach and adjacent business are where you will be spending the most time to make the most of your pacific beach experience.

I loved this hotel not to mention the upgraded us when we got there. Its beautiful and great location
