Nice property, clean rooms, great staff
I wouldn't stay a day in this hotel again even if they pay me. Bad customer service, very dirty place.
Old era feel
The hotel smelled bad, very musty.
Nice property, great location across street from Majestic theater as is a Starbucks
What a lovely place to stay that has history and is right across the street from the Majestic!!!!!!!
What I liked was the proximity to the River Walk, the old uniqueness to the building itself, the speed of the elevators. What I didn't like was how long it took to get hot water to the shower and how much valet parking is per night.
Close to places I wanted to go to.
The best thing was the employee at the front desk his name was Jerry and his hospitality and professionalism was impeccable I will definitely visit this hotel again.
The property is beautiful in its historical perspective with older wooden doors and pretty architecture. Overall however the room was significantly overpriced for just a hotel room. We got in late and could find nothing open after 9pm with food and nothing open early the next morning. Absolutely not worth the money paid.
Understanding that the property is old, I like the classic touch that came with keeping a lot of the old decor. But the property is also in disrepair, peeling wallpaper, elevators out of commission, holes in the wall.
The beds are VERY uncomfortable & the hotel is mediocre for the price... understanding that it’s a historical landmark doesn’t really give it justice for the dirty carpet, bedsheets & inadequate air conditioning. As i stated again the beds are very uncomfortable, if you need a comfortable bed do not sleep here. With that being said. Location is decent. A block away from the riverwalk. 👍
First of all the hotel there were nothing to eat when we arrived and all the places were closed. The parking should be free to the customer that stay at the hotel. Ridiculous to pay extra for that. We had to change rooms due to the noise outside the window. On the plus side. The room was equipped with plenty of towels and soaps.
This is a junk hotel from 1910! The entire building smells. Clogged drain, broken and loud air conditioning unit, nasty room furniture and amenities. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk. $40 parking fee is ridiculous. Save your dignity and stay away.
The hotel has a wonderful reputation and I can honestly say it lives up to that reputation. My stay was incredible and I enjoy it very much. Very quiet and very relaxing and I will most definitely come back in the near future
The location and the older features were kept. Really fast elevators too!
Center of river Walk and the Alamo, nice area to stay, we got to the hotel at 8:30am and they let us check in at that time, I thought I was going to be waiting till my chk in time, but thank you so much for early chk in, highly recommended
