I rented a room for my fiancee and I to spend the night before our marriage. From the time we checked in, to the time we left, the staff very much made us feel at home. 5 Star treatment. The treatment made our special day even more memorable. Thank you.

Hotel was lovely, staff excellent and valet and bell hop were very nice.Check out day was a little hectic trying to get down the elevators that's it. Beautiful hotel with lots of history and wonderful desserts!!!

Great location. Friendly staff. They just need to keep up on maintenance. Ice machine was broke and pool wasn't very clean. They did give us a free breakfast for the ice machine being down. Very accommodating.

Nice hotel but one of our rooms was not ready by check-in time at 3 pm. In fact it was not ready until 6:30 that evening. The cleaning staff was very slow. The manager compensated us with free breakfast which was nice but we've stayed here before and the cleaning staff was a problem then as well.

We definitely missed having a micro wave and refrigerator in the room. How can you expect guests to have comfortable stay without offering such basic amenities in the room in this day and age?! Also, the air conditioner made such a shocking noise during cut over it literally wakes you up during sleep. The room is okay (very small but that could be our booking which I will need to recheck) but amenities definitely need upgrading. The coffee maker was so old that I had to ask for a replacement, and that was not great either (hot water coming out was dirty). I am terribly disappointed with the parking fees as well. Why is there no other option besides valet parking which is ridiculously expensive at $34? Being in downtown, the hotel has a great opportunity to make it an excellent experience, but only if this is in the plans. I hate to be a downer but honestly the only plus that I can think of is the proximity to Alamo and river walk (walking distance).

I'll start with the pros - this hotel is right across the street from the Majestic Theater which was the purpose of our stay. Which was great! My husband and I showed up on a Satruday at 4:30pm for a 3pm check in and rooms were not ready for guests until well after 5pm. This happened to a handful of guest parties hanging out in the lobby & hotel bar. The hotel staff advised that there were several large events in town and guests from the night before did not check out on time. And the delay was caused by the staff still cleaning & inspecting rooms. I appreciate a clean room but I find this excuse unacceptable as hotel checkout time is noon and the hotel should enforce their checkout policies when they are at capacity! Meanwhile I did not get a room until I went back to the front desk and escalated my frustrations with the manager on duty. The room and bathroom were extremely small and dark and dingy. This room was definitely not worth the price I paid. I'm not even sure I got the room type I reserved but was so exhausted with dealing with check in, I did not press the issue with the staff. I would not recommend this hotel in the San Antonio Riverwalk area. I've stayed at other hotels close to the Riverwalk and would recommend paying a little more for the better experience.

The room was clean. But for the price of the room, they were charging $2.00 for a bottle water. The bottle water should have been free. Really for the price of the room. The staff at the front desk were not friendly.

The hotel was beautiful with wonderful staff. The hotel location is only a couple short blocks from riverwalk, alamo and the other major sites. My only complaint was the amount of homeless around the hotel. They are everywhere downtown normally, but for some reason there were a lot along Houston St.and they were aggressive (Following patrons or fighting among themselves). Hotel just needs a security guard patrolling. Otherwise, very nice stay with great gym, bar, resteraunt and barbershop.

The hotel is conveniently located to various venues and activities including the river walk. The hotel staff are excellent and courteous . The only thing I did not like was the high valet service fee.

For my personal experiences, the staff could not have been more spot-on. I forgot half the necessities I needed on my trip (including a USB thumb drive for my presentation), and the staff was able to assist me in every way.

The staff at the Sheraton are top notch! I would recommend staying here if you are looking to not be directly on the Riverwalk. The only issue was the room on the club level, not what I would have expected as the room was very small and had a terrible view of the rooftop of the lower floors. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

One block from access to the famed RiverWalk, easy access to Alamo, Old Market and Breckinridge Park. We had a great time.

Hotel and staff met expectations. Historic hotel restored to modern expectations.

We had tickets to the play, which is just across the street from this hotel. We have stayed here before. Great location as we also walked down the river walk for breakfast. Old hotel ... but very nice. Nice people

It was very easy to find. Very nice lobby and rooms. Everything was clean. The staff was very helpful. Feels like a five star hotel. Live music in the speak easy. A bakery, a restaurant, and two bars. Great experience for the price. The rooms were big with updated everything. The beds were clean and comfy. Only problem was the sirens on the streets were crazy loud. But Thats what you get for staying so close to the river walk and downtown. River walk was very close to the hotel. Starbucks inside your room or across the street. Great workout center and great heated pool. Overall great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Perfect location after the spurs game. Close to the riverwalk and good spot for nightlife and restaurants

Stayed over the Valentines Weekend. Great location. Close to theaters and Many fine restaurants along Houston Street. Hotel is nicely decorated. Wonderful beds...tiny tiny bathrooms (this hotel was built like 1900 or so) overall room a bit small but comfortable. Valet parking a bit steep. Overall stay was pleasant. Not a bad place to stay

For a 4 star hotel one would at least expect a schedule of TV channels in the room for reference. Further, when using the sink in the room, cold water would be nice. The cold water faucet literally did not work. The hotel is in a great location for either business or tourism, and candidly is in good, clean condition. However, on this and one previous experience I found basic maintenance, and staff interest below par. While I gave the hotel a second chance, I probably won't give it a third.

Perfect room for the weekend in a perfect location. Short walking distance to anything we wanted to see or do downtown. Wonderful Sunday breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Already planing our return trip.

luxury hotel close to everything downtown

nice hotel close to the riverwalk

hotel not ready for guests by 5pm

nice hotel you can get at a good price

The hotel was beautiful with wonderful staff. The hotel location is only a couple short blocks from riverwalk, alamo and the other major sites.
