This hotel looks all nice and new online but when you get there it's in a bad area. They even have a police notice on the front desk that people's vehicles are getting broken into. On top of that the rooms are badly designed. The bathroom doors have fog glass so if you get up in the night the light shines through waking up everyone. The Pool smelled so bad we couldn't even go in there. It was un-usable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property. It's in a rough area and hard to get to as well.
This appears to be a newer Hampton Inn. The lobby and breakfast area is well lit and open. The staff was prompt and very friendly. The rooms are spacious and laid out with that new modern flair (sliding frosted glass doors for separate toilet and shower rooms). That being said, I wish Hampton would have spent a little more on the floors and walls. I was on the third floor and could hear every movement above me, as well as the guys next door snoring so loud I could hear him over the TV. This location was close to where I needed to be for work, but I might look elsewhere next time.
I stayed during a solo trip for business purposes. Originally I booked at a different hotel but I was deeply dissatisfied with its cleanliness. I was able to get a room at the Hampton at the last minute and had a great experience. The room was absolutely spotless. The bed is comfortable and I had no problems with noise or ability to sleep. The breakfast was good. Not a lot of choices, but what they did have was tasty. I would definitely stay here again.
Every year we have va apts. and when we have to stay more than one day we alwasys stay here. Its convient, clean, and the stsff is always the best. The breakfast is amoung the best I've seen. Love it...
Clean enough but room was VERY small. Could barely between foot of bed and TV stand. Indoor pool area was so hot and reeked of mildew and/or sewage. Hard to tell but it was overpowering. Breakfast mediocre. Not the best Hampton
The rooms were very clean and the service, especially during the day, was excellent. D.C. in the breakfast room did an outstanding job of keeping everything well stocked and very clean. She was also very friendly but not intrusive. Ashley did an excellent job of cleaning our room and making sure we had extra towels that we requested.
Loved it! It was very clean and the breakfast was great. They even had fresh papaya! The room we stayed in was a handicap room with an odd shape which was cute and fun compared to the normal hotel room shape. Lots of hotels in this price range in San Antonio look worn and are never wet clean but I would come back here in a heartbeat on our next trip.
Only issues we had was an extremely firm bed that didn't "give" at all and the housekeeper came at 10am when checkout is at noon. Asked her to come back later and she returned in 15 minutes. Overall, we had a good experience and the location is excellent right off I-10 west.
Room is fairly small compared to others in the same area. Overall the room is clean. However the bathroom and restroom are right in front of the bed...very bad "feng shui" design. Pool does not have carbon monoxide detector. DO NOT let your kids play in there, it can kill you! The hotel resides in a bad neighborhood. DO NOT walk around if you don't have to.
This has to be one of the nicest Hamptons I've ever stayed in. Big roomy rooms and just anew feeling throughout the hotel. The staff was fantastic and helpful, even providing recommendations on places to eat. This hotel is located right off the highway with plenty of food options close. Breakfast was great with a few hot options. This will be my go to hotel when I travel to San Antonio for work.
