We were happy to find a place near BMT for graduation on such short notice. The area wasn't as close as I'd hoped and while the neighborhood did not look sketchy, it was not well maintained. The grass was high in most of the yards and I think part of the reason mosquitos were so active. The house is nice and looks clean but a deep clean is highly recommended. I took a shower soon after arrival and by bedtime my feet were filthy and black from the floors. The rugs throughout had stains everywhere like they haven't been washed in a while. There was dog pee at the bottom of the stairs inside but my husband cleaned it up so they didn't think our small pups made the mess. The showers were quite moldy at the bottom. The back yard was in disarray and trash like bottle caps and small papers were littered about. Again, my husband cleaned it up so they didn't think we left a mess. We did appreciate the use of the garage but the garage door needs some work. It sounded so loud and rickety when opening and closing that I wondered if it just might break down at some point and we would have our truck stuck inside. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and there is plenty of space and activities for large groups. The hosts kept in contact and offered to help with the overflowing trash bins and asked if we needed anything but I didn't complain about the issues because we didn't want anyone coming over while we were there. We just dealt with it for our short stay.
