Cuatro de los barracones se han transformado ingeniosamente y con buen gusto para proporcionar un alojamiento de buena calidad que conserva mucho carácter rústico y encanto. Las 7 logias restantes conservan su condición casi original como un recordatorio visual de su función anterior. Cada cabaña reformada tiene la ventaja adicional de estacionamiento gratuito y una sala de estar al aire libre.
Situado justo al lado de Cleveland Way, hay muchos buenos páramos y paseos por los acantilados, así como campos de golf cercanos. Hay un centro de ocio a 2 millas por la carretera y un paseo de 2 minutos por la calle adoquinada te lleva al centro del pintoresco pueblo de pescadores con su pequeño puerto ubicado bajo acantilados escarpados. Retroceda en el tiempo y recorra los pintorescos y estrechos pasajes, como debe haber hecho el mismo Capitán James Cook. Aqu�� en Staithes hay tiendas del pueblo, pubs, cafeterías y un restaurante. ¿Por qué no viajar en el Expreso de Hogwarts de Harry Potter (el ferrocarril North Yorkshire Moors) a través del país "Heartbeat", o visitar Whitby y su famosa abadía que se encuentra a 18 kilómetros de distancia?
NB: Como los cuatro alojamientos están muy cerca el uno del otro, se pueden reservar para grupos de hasta 24 invitados. We had a brilliant time at Captains Quarters which was much needed at this time. More than enough room for 6 of us with lots of lovely sofas to choose from. Sitting in the conservatory with coffee was a treat. Cosy and warm. Loads of cutlery and crockery. Lovely out-door space although our October weather was a bit windy. Ideal for dogs. We had a great visit.

We had a great visit. A pity it was a short break as we all could have been doing with a longer break. The Co-op was well stocked. We didn’t manage to explore the village but wish we had as one of our party thought the area was stunning. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and very rustic, cosy and welcoming. I can’t thank Sarah enough for ensuring all was good for us and she was only a call away, which we didn’t require but was good to know. I think I slept for the first time in months as soon as my head hit the pillows. We had a ball lounging around in our jammies shooting the breeze. Staithes all places dog friendley and the captains quarters you could let the dog in the garden where he was safe and couldnt get out.Sarah was great with everthing and just a phone call away. Our family of six plus dog had a great week. The lodge had loads of space for us all to spread out, comfy beds and a nice welcome basket. The secure garden area was handy for our dog as the weather was warm and we could leave the door open. The only area for improvement is the shower options... they were A little limiting if the property is full with 12 people. I would highly recommend this place!! We had a fantastic time here.

We had a fantastic time here. The area is splendid, with Staithes, Whitby and Scarborough all in easy reach, all with good beaches and places to eat. Captain Cook Inn and Cod and Lobster are perfect dinner prospects, both within easy walk. The property itself is spacious and well-laid out and appointed.

Really flexible and helpful owners. Great location, lots of room in the cottage for all, lovely and clean. Just scissors missing from kitchen which was a problem as all knives are a little blunt. This is only a little fault and by no means spoilt our stay. . . We will book to go back!

Very pleasant place to stay to explore that part of the coast and its towns. Very helpful staff/owner - who even decorated the place for Halloween! Comfortable, warm and well equipped. Wi fi would have been a good addition for those who feel the lack but it didn't bother us much - and mobile signal seemed good. Really enjoyed the stay.

The 11 of us (& the dog) had a lovely weekend celebrating a family birthday. Plenty of space for us to spread out in and Staithes is a beautiful place and a good spot to explore the surrounding area - and it’s fish n chips! The cottage was well equipped and the welcome and thoughtful goodies from Sarah were really appreciated, as was the local knowledge and advice on where to go and what to do (including the best spot for crabbing). Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time 5 adults and 4 children plenty of room and a beautiful conservatory lovely to listen to all the birds singing Sarah was really helpful with lots of information about Staithes and surrounding attractions I would highly recommend this property as everything was clean and very well presented all the bedrooms were well maintained and comfortable
