I just adore historic hotels. We really enjoyed this one. Like most old properties, the rooms are smaller and laid out differently. (We actually had family in other rooms and no two were alike). The surrounding area has great bars, restaurants, and entertainment all within walking distance. There wasn’t street noise that I had expected, but the pipes were louder than I thought they would be. (Again, another feature of old properties). The only real disappointment was how unfriendly the staff was, and how stingy with amenities they are. I had to repeatedly ask for cream and sugar for the coffee in the room, and they would send ONE at a time. I asked more than once for toiletries, and would get one lotion. Really inconvenient.
The lobby gives the feel of a grand old hotel. The rooms (mine anyway) felt small and dark.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Hotel decor was nice. Very convenient location. Could not regulate the room temperature. Either too hot or too cold.
The bed skirt was stained a lot.
I like the feel of a classy older Hotel. This property is elegantly designed.
Best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. I travel a lot Very clean, also the vibe is good. Highly recommend.
Staff was super friendly and professional, the venue itself is a gem!
This was a great place to stay, however, their website says they offer amenities that they don't have. There is no business center and I couldn't find the Fitness center that they claim to have.
Everything was nice, but a little bit noisy and the bathroom too small. The hotel was very clean and well kept.
The rooms were extremely small. The sheets weren’t clean. Bathroom sink did not drain and the shower did not work. Do yourself a favor and book something else. This is a horrible place to stay.
We loved the spaciousness of the room and bathroom. The decor was charming, and our room (on the third floor) was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. We are looking forward to our next stay here!
I booked the hotel based off the pictures. I thought the hotel was true to the pictures- it was a cool old building but obviously updated- lovely and clean. The staff was very nice. However, I didn’t realize a few things that probably would have changed my mind had I realized. First, the hotel doesn’t have parking. You have to pay to park. Also, there was not a free breakfast. I guess I assumed that was something standard. There was coffee, but not a breakfast. Also, our room was really small. It was clean but tight! The bathroom only had a pedestal sink which was rather a pain for getting ready in the morning. Next time we stay in downtown SLC I’ll probably book something else.
The sheets were dirty and one of the middle layers were ripped up. Also the bathroom can't fit anyone comfortably. I couldn't change in the bathroom at all, I had to move into the bedroom in order to change my clothes. The tub was dirty and I wasn't comfortable taking a shower in there. Overall there wasn't space and I was displeased with the overall experience.
great customer service, small rooms, very tiny bathroom. I could sit on the toilet and wash my hands at the same time. Water pressure was okay.
