The room is so comfortable and big. I really like 2 the, and the couch. Hair blow drier needs to be replaced for better ones. Took me to long to get hair dry. But every thing else, was nice

The hotel really pretty. It was trendy and upon entering, I was excited about my stay. Check in was... different as there was no front desk or true check in area. You stand in line and wait for someone with a tablet to come from the back room and check you in. When I got to my room, you could tell that they'd made so surface upgrades to an old hotel. I was ok with that. What I was NOT ok with was the dirty bathroom and broken sink. I called down and was guaranteed that I could leave (sightseeing) and it would be taken care of by the time I returned. I came back about 3 hours later to find that the sink had been fixed but the bathroom had been untouched. A call back down to the "concierge" got me moved to a different room. I was ok with that too. By now, it's well after 11pm and I prepare myself for bed. I closed the curtain and noticed that there was a bug in the curtain. I killed it and thought nothing of it. I got into bed (it was comfy) noticed that there was another bug (same type, but bigger) crawling on the bedside table. In more of a panic, I killed it and did an inspection of the bed and surrounding area to make sure there weren't others. I got back in bed leaned over to turn off the light only to find that another bug was crawling ON the bed, headed my way. That was the final straw. I checked out in the middle of the nignt and went to a nearby 4 star. It was an awful experience. Oh! I was advised by a staff member that they were assassin beetles??? Why? Awful

when we came in to the building to checked in, we didn't see any reception area..so we went around and around the building to find the receptionist area. My friend and I had to split up so we can find it faster. Finally my friend found the staff with IPad on her hand at the hotel and asked where can we checked in and she said we can checked in with there at the lobby by the entrance. That receptionist saw us came in didn't say anything and just let us walked around the building and didn't even say "hello" "are you here to check in?" The hotel is not very welcoming at all in my opinion.

It’s a “Atypical Hotel”, 2 greeters / Check-in were in the lobby to check the guests in. The bed was too soft for me that keeps me awaken everytime I move. The shower faucet is dripping continuously and it seemed like it was like that for a while because it already developed water stain on the tub. I arrived at 4 pm, my room was facing towards the sun and it was hot. The thermostat didn’t neutralize to 65 deg (lowest setting) until around 10 pm.

Rooms have been renovated but a/c works very poorly even in hallways and at front desk

Wasn't able to stay in the hotel because I was 20 and apparently there policy was over 21 but I booked through orbitz which said nothing about that. So they told me any refund would be through orbitz. The next day I called orbitz and they contacted the hotel and said they would not refund me the money. So now they're refusing a refund even though I didn't stay at the hotel. Terrible staff

While the hotel was exactly as advertised, the check-in process was unsatisfactory. We waited 30 minutes after first offered a room described as being just behind the elevator, only to be given another room directly behind, you guessed it, a bank of elevators.

Very good. Will come again, recommend to friends family and employees. Thank you

Stay was comfortable, enjoyed. Only parking is quite far from the entrance.

First of all, the pictures online are an excellent showcase of the facility (isn't it a bummer when a hotel uses the best pictures they took from what looks like YEARS prior?!). Came to SLC for a work conference, but did not get a room at the bigger, name brand host hotel. I visited my co-worker's room and noticed that Red Lion was nicer, had more free ammenities and was less expensive than their hotel! Stayed here with my husband and toddler. Breakfast was included in our overall price (make sure you get that option otherwise you have to pay each morning). We had two adults which meant we got to choose two breakfast plates from their "free breakfast item list". It did not disappoint! You can pay for other items, but we were happy with the free options and shared our portions family-style with our son. Additionally, all the staff were very pleasant. I was a little farther from the conference than my co-workers, but we had a car. I could have easily woken up earlier and had a beautiful 15-20 minute walk if I hadn't had the car or rented a city bicycle. Our room was great. The bed was super comfortable (all I really care about) and the room was clean and modern-looking. If we ever return to SLC we will be staying here!

I would recommend this hotel to others. Easy to get around downtown and close to restaurants

Room was old; there was no coffee for the coffeemaker; pool had no water; not enough towels and when I asked for more it took an hour to get them. Breakfast was fantastic.

It was terrible experience because I was put in the wrong room the guy that was working at night was terrible and she's taking personal calls while I'm waiting to check in and it was not good the only good morning that's it the food was so so but.desdert tasted disgustingit was moldy

The staff was nice but the room was bad in every way. Don't stay here.

It looks good from pictures, good location where close to downtown, 20min walk or 5min drive, also shuttle available for airport, and to some nearby recreation if the shuttles are available. Clean room and good bedding materials. View is good but the glass of windows are dirty, deck is only as decorative, can not access, which means you can see the mountains but has to through a dirty window. Check in took long time since only one staff at front desk which is a real desk, or say small table. The staff is busy. And the most important thing is noisy, my room in 4th floor, there is something keep sounding like dish washer or ventilation, all day, even during the night, I need more time to fall asleep, make me feel so tired to stay. Not recommend.

Easy access to highway and downtown Lots of homeless in the area

This particular hotel is just starting to implement a self check-in type of a system. It was supposed to be working but didn't. So they checked me in the old fashioned way...by iPad. It took the staff a while to get me checked in because a room wasn't ready (at 6:30 in the evening.) Apparently the system isn't working correctly, because that night, asleep in our room at 1:00 am, another guest was also booked into our same room. We and he got quite the surprise when he stepped into our room and found it occupied. This was quite upsetting to me and my wife, and I'm sure he wasn't happy about it either. The next morning after a night of no sleep, we asked to some compensation for the scare of our lives. We were told that since we had booked with Orbitz (but had paid at the hotel, not through Orbitz) that they were unable to give us a refund for the night's stay. They gave us a $30 voucher for some overpriced food from their own restaurant, and were told to call Orbitz. We called, but Orbitz was unable to do anything since I had paid for the room at the hotel. We came out of the whole experience vowing not to stay at a RL (Red Lion) hotel again and very disappointed that we were unable to have the relaxing stay that we had hoped.

Good location updated modern decor. Lobby has great work spaces very comfortable.

Comfortable, clean and very affordable. Was very happy with the experience overall for this price
